William Shatner could reprise the role of Captain Kirk in the 'Star Trek' sequel.
The script for the eagerly-awaited new film - written by Roberto Orci, JD Payne and Patrick McKay - includes a part for the character Shatner, 83, played in the 1960s TV series.
The storyline includes a meeting between two of the show's most famous characters, Captain Kirk and Leonard Nimoy's Spock, BadassDigest.com reports.
It's said the scene is "plot-driven and integral enough that it might just survive any future revisions".
The proposed scene will be a landmark moment for fans of the franchise, because Shatner and Nimoy haven't appeared together in a 'Star Trek' film since 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country', in 1991.
What's more, Shatner has not starred as Kirk since 1994's 'Star Trek: Generations'.
The speculation comes shortly after Zachary Quinto - who plays the role of Spock - said he believes 'Star Trek 3' will begin shooting within the next six months.
When asked how close the cast are to filming 'Star Trek 3', the 37-year-old actor told NBC: "I think it's on the horizon.
"Things are rumbling, so I have a feeling that we will be in production sometime in the next six months."
The latest 'Star Trek' film is set to hit cinema screens in 2016.
Mel C won't allow her daughter to watch explicit music videos.
The 40-year-old former Spice Girls singer - who has five-year-old Scarlet with ex-partner Thomas Starr - wants to "protect" her little girl, and though she allows the youngster to listen to Rihanna's music, she won't let her see her "sexual" promos.
Mel told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "My girl Scarlet is a big fan of Rihanna, but I won't let her watch the videos - they're too sexual.
"I protect my daughter from it while I can, but she's growing up fast."
In the 1990s, Mel and her fellow band members, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton, championed the term "girl power" to promote female empowerment amongst their legions of fans.
However, the 'Wannabe' hitmaker believes that things have changed since then and some of today's female pop stars, like Rihanna, are encouraging women to be objectified.
Mel explained: "For me it's almost like what we did with girl power has gone too far the other way, which defeats the object.
"I appreciate that it's a different generation now, but I don't consider that empowering."
Meanwhile, Mel has previously slammed young female pop stars for not taking their younger fans into consideration when revealing things in interviews or taking part in more risque photoshoots.
Mel said: "It's a long time ago since the Spice Girls were first together and we were criticised for being sexual.
"Yes, we wore crop tops, I mean look how much has changed. We always sat down as a group, be it photoshoots, videos, interviews, and if somebody felt something was inappropriate for our young fans, we did something about it.
"I think that's something young people in the music industry today, like Rihanna, should do now."
Miley Cyrus has hinted she is heart broken.
The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker - who split from fiance Liam Hemsworth a year ago - posted a picture of a crying alien surrounded by thought bubbles, entitled 'early a.m. drawin', on her Instagram account, and the surrounding text appeared to suggest she is mourning a lost love.
The thought bubbles make numerous references to a failed relationship, with messages like, "I must go. I will miss yiew (sic)" and "why does love make me cry".
The singer also asks, "Will I ever be happy again" and "Gravity has nothing to do with me falling for you".
Miley followed up the eye-catching images with another drawing of an alien, though this one made no references to love and is instead just seen blowing bubbles.
Earlier this month, Billy Ray Cyrus - Miley's father - warned his daughter about becoming a "bitter ole man".
Miley posted a screen shot of a conversation she had with the 53-year-old country music singer.
The message from her father read: "You are crazy to be down. You are one of the luckiest people in the world right now. ENJOY IT!
"Don't be like me and miss it all worrying about s**t beyond control ALL the time.
"That would make you a bitter ole man and that's not cool" (sic)."
Jeremy Renner is married.
The 43-year-old actor was previously reported to have split from girlfriend Sonni Pacheco - with who he has 18-month-old daughter Ava - but he has now admitted they are actually wed but he prefers to keep the model out of the public eye.
Asked if he is married to Ava's mother, he told Capitol File: "I have tried to protect my family's privacy, my wife's privacy. I don't need her to get hammered with my life.
"Privacy issues are important because I want her to go about her day without being bothered."Paps follow me around . . . that's fine. But . . . I don't like being followed when I'm with my family."
The 'American Hustle' star can understand why there is so much speculation about his personal life because he doesn't give away too much information.
He added: "I've been talked about a whole lot, because the less I put out there, the less people know, and it makes it interesting, I assume."
The 'Kill the Messenger' actor also admitted he feels "miserable" when he's away from his daughter.
He said: "The only thing I think about when I'm not with my baby is, 'How do I get to my baby?' I need to get to her, and I'm very miserable when I don't see her. I really love being a father."
Ariana Grande and Hope Solo have slammed hackers for the latest spate of nude celebrity photographs leaked online.
The 21-year-old singer and the team USA soccer star hit out at the unknown people behind the latest release of topless pictures purportedly also including Amber Heard, Kim Kardashian West and Kate Bosworth, with the 33-year-old soccer star - a victim of the scandal - insisting the theft goes "beyond the bounds of human decency".
She told TMZ: "It is extremely sad and unfortunate that the rights of so many women were violated by the unauthorized release of private photographs.
"This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency and, as such, I stand united with all the women affected and am exploring every option to protect my privacy."
Meanwhile, 'Problem' hitmaker Ariana - who described the incident as "invasive" - maintains the images that were leaked of her earlier this month are fakes and swore she has never taken any x-rated photos of herself.
She said: "Those aren't me. It is funny though. That's not my room, that's not my cat, that's not my belly button ring, that's not my hair that's not my profile. Whoever that is... I was like alright.
"It is invasive but at least it wasn't me. I wouldn't take pictures like that. I don't do that. I swear I don't. I promise."
The brunette beauty also took to Twitter at the time of the release to quash the rumours, claiming her bottom is "a lot cuter" than the one pictured.
She wrote: "to every1 going on about my "nudes" & my "m&g prices" neither are real! my lil ass is a lot cuter than that lmao & tour details r comin soon.
"but forreal tho whoever thought those were actually me...... love u but I'm praying for u (sic)."
'Coronation Street' bosses have reportedly given Michael Le Vell a new 12-month contract.
The 49-year-old actor has secured a deal, believed to worth £250,000, to play mechanic Kevin Webster in the ITV soap until November 2015 following a year of legal issues and battling to beat his addiction to booze.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Michael is over the moon and can now concentrate on getting his career back on track. He really feels now that he has beaten the booze and all his problems are in the past ...
"Like many of the stars, Michael is on a rolling 12-month deal, which means his future in the show is only guaranteed for a year at a time."
Michael, who has played Kevin for three decades, was written out of the soap last year as he awaited trial for child abuse allegations, but he returned earlier this year after being cleared of all charges in September.
However, his comeback was short-lived as Michael took another break from the show in March in order to seek treatment in rehab for drugs and alcohol abuse after he hit the bottle and turned to cocaine to help him deal with the long and emotional trial last year.
Michael now claims he's been teetotal for six months and is ready to throw himself back into filming.
Lindsay Lohan wants a 'Mean Girls' sequel.
The 28-year-old actress - who played Cady Heron in the cult movie 10 years ago - is keen to persuade Tina Fey to pen a follow-up to the popular 2004 film, which also starred Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried.
When asked about a possible sequel, she told Time Out magazine: "People love the movie. How do you top that? I was with Tina the other day and I said we should do another 'Mean Girls' - like an older version, where they're all housewives and cheating.
"That would be really funny. I'll harass Tina to write it."
Meanwhile, the troubled star, who documented her battle to get her career and life back on track following her sixth stint in rehab last year, is set to make her West End debut in 'Speed-the-Plow' at the Playhouse Theatre in London tonight (24.09.14).
However, she recently admitted that she's nervous about performing the lead role in the revival of David Mamet's production but has been working hard at it.
She said last month: "I'm working hard, and yesterday was my first day of reading lines on stage.
"It was hard work and very scary, but that was what I came prepared for.
"I've been acting since I was a child, but this is completely different and out of my comfort zone."
Lindsay will star in 'Speed-the-Plow' until November 29.
'Downton Abbey' star Allen Leech was once sent a pair of Christmas socks by a fan.
The 33-year-old actor - who plays the role of Tom Branson in the ITV period drama - has revealed he often gets bizarre presents from fans of the show.
Quizzed on who out of the cast receives the most fan mail, he told Now magazine: "We never discuss it. I got sent some Rudolph socks last Christmas and a marriage proposal on Twitter this morning. I said I'd think about it!"
'The Imitation Game' star also revealed that the cast have nicknamed 'Harry Potter' actress Dame Maggie Smith - who stars as Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham in 'Downton Abbey' - 'The Notorious MAG', in homage to the late rapper The Notorious B.I.G.
Meanwhile, while Allen insists he never Google searches his own name, he does search the internet for old modelling shots of one of his cast mates.
He added: "I've Googled Rob [James-Collier]. There are some lovely modelling shots of him."

Cara Delevingne has struck up a "deep friendship" with Nicki Minaj.
The 21-year-old model bonded with the 'Anaconda' hitmaker, 31, after meeting her backstage at Beyoncé and Jay Z's 'On The Run' gig in Paris earlier this month and has been talking to her almost every day since.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Cara has developed a new and deep friendship with Nicki.
"The pair have been talking almost every night since they met in Paris."
The wannabe pop star, who recently launched her music career in a "dive pub" in New York, has even been asking Nicki for advice on how to become a huge success in the industry and has played her a few tracks she's been working on in order to get some feedback.
The source explained: "Nicki has been giving her advice on everything from music to relationships.
"Cara has played Nicki music that she's been working on to get feedback."

"His people haven't offered her a record deal but have been interested in talking to her."
Jessie J "can't wait" for her naked photographs to leak online.
The 26-year-old singer isn't worried about her explicit images being published on the web as part of the recent hacking scandal, which has affected over 100 celebrities so far, as she believes those kind of attacks are expected to happen if you're famous.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "I can't wait for mine to come out.
"There's a bad girl in every good girl. I'm human and every single woman in this industry is in a long distance relationship so sometimes you gotta throw things down to keep your man.
"At the end of the day, yes, its awful and disgusting it happens, but I think if you're famous you're going to have to expect those things will happen."
Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst and Kate Upton were among the first stars to have their racy snaps leaked online after an identified hacker stole explicit images and videos from Apple's iCloud service last month.
However, three weeks later, alleged sexy shots of Kim Kardashian West, Gabrielle Union, Amber Heard, Rihanna, Hayden Panettiere, Lake Bell, Avril Lavigne and Vanessa Hudgens began emerging online.
Apple said it was "outraged" by the attacks and encouraged users to update their accounts with a "strong" password and enable two-step verification.
