Emily Barrington: I watched 24 instead of revising

'24: Live Another Day' actress Emily Berrington watched the original series when she should've been revising for her exams.
The blonde beauty stars as Simone Al-Harazi alongside Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer in the follow-up to the hit series '24' and she's confessed she never imagined she'd be starring in the show herself when she was avoiding doing work for her University degree by catching up on the latest episodes.
Quizzed on how she felt to be offered a role, she said: "I just couldn't believe it. I watched it at University. I did a geography degree and if you told me whilst I was ignoring my geography degree revision in order to watch another episode of '24', that one day I wouldn't need that geography degree and I'd actually be in '24', I'd have been quite pleased I think."
'The Inbetweeners 2' actress insists the appeal of the series is that it follows real time, which hasn't been done before.
She explained: "The suspense that was created was just brilliant. And also it made it completely impossible to stop watching it. You couldn't stop because you thought, 'I must see what the next five minutes are and the next five minutes and the next five minutes'."
'24: Live Another Day' is out on DVD now.

Rose Leslie: I used to hate my ginger hair

'Game of Thrones' star Rose Leslie used to hate her ginger hair.
The 27-year-old beauty has admitted that it took her several years before she began to embrace her natural auburn locks.
Rose - who played Ygritte opposite Kit Harington in the HBO drama, 'Game of Thrones' - shared: "When I was younger, I wanted to dye my hair black. I've only recently begun to love and accept the colour. I wouldn't cut it though. I'm constantly plaiting or twisting - it's a comfort thing - and I like to hide behind it!"
It may have taken her a while to accept her hair, but Rose has revealed that she quickly realised that she wanted to be an actor.
She told InStyle magazine: "I am one of five children - I'm the middle child in a rather loud family - so wanting to be heard and to be the centre of attention was a big thing. No one else in my family acts and my parents approached my going to drama school with a bit of trepidation, but they were phenomenal; they have always backed me."

William Shatner ‘agrees’ to Star Trek 3 role

William Shatner has agreed to appear in 'Star Trek 3', according to a report.
The actor, now 83, rose to worldwide prominence in the 1960s when he appeared as Captain James Kirk in the popular TV series - and it appears he is about to return to the ever-popular sci-fi franchise.
Shatner is set to share a scene with the current Captain Kirk - played by 34-year-old Chris Pine - as well as Spocks of present and past - played by Zachary Quinto, 37, and Leonard Nimoy, 83 - Badass Digest reports.
Over the last few weeks, it's been widely speculated Shatner has been approached by the movie's producer JJ Abrams about making a return.
And speaking recently, Shatner said he is "open to the idea" of appearing in 'Star Trek 3'.

Quizzed on what it was like seeing a much younger man playing the role of Captain Kirk, he explained: "It was like seeing your mortality.
"Here comes a young, handsome and talented guy playing what I was playing years ago. It makes you realise time is passing - if I needed reminding, which I don't."

Kanye West gatecrashes bachelorette party

The 'Yeezus' rapper was sat having dinner at French-Creole eatery Galatoire's in the city with a group of heavyweight names from the high-tech world, including Dropbox founder Drew Houston, when he notice another group sat a few tables away were busy celebrating an upcoming wedding.
The 37-year-old husband of Kim Kardashian West - with whom he has a child, North West - subsequently sent a bottle of Champagne to the bride-to-be and her friends, the New York Post's Page Six Column reports.
The ladies then made their way towards the table of Kanye and his friends, where the rapper "wished the bride well and said that getting married was 'the best thing that's happened to him'".
What's more, Kanye was happy to pose for pictures with the women, some of whom sported eye-catching metallic temporary tattoos.
Onlookers noted that Kanye was "really nice and soft-spoken".
This comes shortly after Kanye and his wife sparked controversy at Paris Fashion Week by reportedly showing up 40 minutes late to Lanvin's runway show.
However, the married couple insisted it was only because they were backstage with the brand's designer, Alber Elbaz.
Kanye responded to the criticism by saying: "Don't boo us. Alber asked to see us. Don't boo us. We're not late. We're not late."

Emily Ratajkowski admits kissing Ben Affleck felt ‘surreal’

Emily Ratajkowski found it "surreal" kissing Ben Affleck in new movie 'Gone Girl'.
The 23-year-old British-born American actress admits she grew up watching Affleck on screen and was never quite able to get her head around making out with the 42-year-old Hollywood star.
Asked what it was like getting intimate with the 'Argo' actor, Emily said: "The whole experience was a little surreal."
She continued: "I have to be honest. Obviously Ben Affleck is one of those - you know his face. I grew up with his face. Not sure if he would love that.

Emily rose to worldwide prominence after featuring in Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' music video, but she admits she's not sure where her career will go next.
She told LA Confidential: "It's no longer a culture of 'Are you an actress? Are you a model?'
"It's an overarching 'You are a figure. What do you want to do with yourself?"'
"I hope in five years that I'm doing both... and have figured out exactly how to manage that!"

Daniel Radcliffe: I’m sexier than Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe insists he's "sexier" than Harry Potter.
The 25-year-old actor - who shot to fame playing the boy wizard in the movie adaptations of J.K. Rowling's novels - doesn't understand why people were "surprised" when he was cast as the romantic lead in 'What If?' because there's a lot more to him than his magic alter-ego.
He told Marie Claire magazine: "Can you tell me why people are surprised?
"You saw me growing up like a f***ing boy in a school robe. Of course there's a sexier side to me than that."
Daniel is dating his 'Kill Your Darlings' co-star Erin Darke and admits he likes to plan romantic gestures - though he sometimes ruins the element of surprise.
He said: "I was going to fly to New York to surprise her once, but then I kind of ruined my own surprise the night before because I was on the phone to her and she'd had a terrible day and was in a bad mood and I wanted to make it all go away.
"I just went, 'Guess what? I'm going to be there tomorrow, we're going to see each other' "
The 'Horns' star is wary of who he allows to get close to him and isn't afraid to stand up for himself.
He said: "I have a finely tuned bulls**t censor for when people are around for the wrong reason.
"I am polite but I also don't take s**t. I've been brought up to stand up for myself. If someone is being a d**k, then it's easy for me to call that out."

He added: "They're great parents. Ryan's going to be a great father. He's just such a down-to-earth, nice guy. You couldn't ask for anything better."

Nicki Minaj is "too busy" to have children right now.
The 'Anaconda' hitmaker, 31, doesn't feel ready to start a family at the moment with her boyfriend Safaree Samuels because it'll mean she'll have to take a break from her career to focus all of her attention on her kids.
Speaking L'Uomo Vogue magazine, she said: "I don't want to work my whole life without ever experiencing the joys of a family.
"The time is not yet ripe, but when I decide to get married and become a mother, I would like to take a hiatus and dedicate myself completely to my child.
"Family has always been very important to me, and that is why I want to wait until the right moment before starting my own. Right now I am too busy, but at a certain point the situation will change."

Mariah Carey takes subtle swipe at Nick Cannon during gig

Mariah Carey appeared to take a subtle swipe at Nick Cannon during her concert in Tokyo at the weekend.
The 'Hero' hitmaker took to the stage for her 'Elusive Chanteuse World Tour' on Saturday night (04.10.14) and seemed to break her silence for the first time about her split from her husband two months ago.
While performing Billie Holiday's classic 'Don't Explain,' the 44-year-old singer changed the lyrics to the angry line of "I know you cheated, motherf****r," which left fans wondering if it was a sly reference to Nick.
Rumours that the 'America's Got Talent' host, 33, had cheated on the brunette beauty, with whom he has three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, began circulating in July after he admitted they were living separately, but he later denied that infidelity had anything to do with the shocking break-up.
He added at the time: "My main focus is my kids."
However, Nick, who married Mariah in 2008, has proved things aren't good between him and his former spouse as he recently had his tattoo of the stunning star's name covered up.
The hunk had the inking, which is across his shoulders, transformed it into an elaborate tattoo of Jesus Christ and made sure he flaunted his new artwork during a night out at the Playhouse nightclub in Hollywood last week in celebration of his upcoming 34th birthday.

Sarah Hyland secures 3-year restraining order against ex-boyfriend

Sarah Hyland has been granted a three-year restraining order against her ex-boyfriend.
The 'Modern Family' star has secured a permanent protection order against Matthew Prokop, whom she recently split from after five years of dating, after claiming he assaulted her and threatened her life.
According to the order, obtained by TMZ.com, Matthew must stay 100 yards away from Sarah, her house, her workplace, her dog, and not own or possess a gun or ammunition otherwise he could risk going to jail.
The 23-year-old actress was granted a temporary restraining order against her ex-beau last month after accusing the actor, 24, of terrorising her verbally and physically during the last four years of their romance.
Matthew also allegedly pinned her against a car during an argument about her outfit in May before repeatedly calling her a "c**t" and choking her.
The Emmy Award-winner stated in the court documents: "His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life."
Following their split, Sarah claimed her former boyfriend "relentlessly bombarded me with vile, threatening and emotionally disturbing texts and voice mails including his own suicide threats."
The former couple started dating after meeting while auditioning for 'High School Musical 3: Senior Year' in 2008. They later starred together in the Disney Channel film 'Geek Charming' in 2011.

Kelly Rowland hopes exercise will speed up her labour

Kelly Rowland has been exercising throughout her pregnancy in the hope of having an "easier delivery."
The 'Kisses Down Low' hitmaker, who is expecting her first child with her husband Tim Witherspoon, has been sticking to a regular fitness routine over the past eight months because she believes it'll increase her chances of having a faster and more comfortable labour.
Speaking to ELLE magazine, she said: "Everybody always tells you to go crazy with food, and you can eat whatever you want. It's fine to have your cravings but I wanted an easier delivery. All the women that I've talked to, that have worked out, have such an easy and speedy delivery. Exercise really helps that."
However, that doesn't mean the 33-year-old singer hasn't been gorging on calorific treats and sugary snacks when her pregnancy cravings start to strike.
She explained: "I love cherry pie and chocolate ice cream with peanut butter mixed in it. And I had a week straight where I was obsessed with nachos."
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty, who is expecting a boy, has been trying to stay calm throughout the third, and final, trimester of her pregnancy because she hopes her positive energy will reflect onto her son.
She said previously: "I don't want no cortisol levels going up. I just want to keep it very serene and calm for myself -- and definitely for the baby -- because that's the kind of environment I'd want to bring him up in."

Kendra Wilkinson ‘talking’ to husband again

Kendra Wilkinson and her husband aren't "together."
The 'Kendra On Top' star, 29, was left devastated when a transsexual woman claimed to have had an affair with Hank Baskett - the father of her children Hank Jr., four, and four-month-old Alijah - earlier this year and, although they're starting to move on from the scandal, they still haven't rekindled their romance.
Speaking to the HuffPost Live about where their marriage stands now, she said: "I wouldn't say we're back together. We're still married, course we're not divorced.
"But, we're at a place where we can talk right now, not about everything, but we're talking and we're parenting.
"That's our number one priority is making sure these two kids are raised with two parents, and we want to give them a great life."
Hank is insistent the infidelity claims are false, but Kendra admits she's unsure about what she believes and is determined not to make any drastic decisions.
She explained: "I'm still trying to piece things together. I feel like I'm in this fog. I'm in a dream I'm trying to wake up from. Initially, I believed everything that was said.
"They claim that there's a polygraph out there, they claim that there's proof out there that my husband cheated on me. But as time went on, four months later, if you really look at it, there really is no proof."
She added: "At the end of the day, I don't want to be a stupid girl. I don't want to be stupid. But I know Hank loves me. But at the end of the day, I have to take things one step at a time and really figure things out."
