Duchess of York tweets about her ‘stupid recklessness’

Britain's Duchess of York has sent a series of cryptic tweets regarding her past "recklessness".
The 55-year-old posted the messages on the social media site yesterday (10.11.14) where she has almost 80,000 followers.
Tweeting under the username @SarahTheDuchess, the former royal - who was once married Prince Andrew - wrote: "Sometimes we look back at our life, dropping our jaw at our stupid recklessness. (sic)
"Forgiveness comes when we have the chance to see it as a learning curve and move forward with knowledge, also forgiving ourselves. (sic)"
According to the Mail Online, friends of the Duchess - who is mother to 26-year-old Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, 24, - think she is in a better place now after being accepted back into the royal family.
A source said: "She is in a good place at the moment. She has clearly got her life back together after the events of recent years."
Following her wedding to Prince Andrew in 1986 Sarah was caught having her toes sucked by her over John Bryan. The royal couple got divorced in 1996, leaving the Duchess with a settlement of just £300,000.
However, Britain's Queen Elizabeth extended an olive branch earlier this year, when she allowed her former daughter-in-law to throw a £50,000 party for her charity, Children In Crisis, at Windsor Castle.

Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge set for New York trip

Britain's Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge are set to make a trip to New York to unveil a new charity.
The royal couple will reportedly embark on a three-day trip to the United States of America next month where they will meet with conservationists and unveil a environmental charity, United for Wildlife.
According to the Mail on Sunday newspaper, Prince William, 30, and his wife will return to America, three years after their post-wedding trip to Los Angeles in 2011.
It is also thought that the couple will bring their 16-month-old son Prince George with them on their American voyage.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge - who is roughly 15 weeks pregnant with her second child - previously had to cancel a scheduled royal appearance in Malta in September after suffering from acute morning sickness.
A source told the newspaper that the 30-year-old brunette beauty is "very excited" about the impending trip because she has wanted to see New York since she was a little girl.
The insider said: "Kate has never been to New York and she is really looking forward to it now that she is over her illness."
Another source added: "Kate was upset she had to cancel her tour of Malta, but now she is over her morning sickness and really excited about America."

Report says physicians ‘failed’ in care of Joan Rivers

A federal report has claimed the New York clinic where Joan Rivers stopped breathing made a number of errors during her medical procedure.
The damning report released on Monday (10.11.14) stated that Yorkville Endoscopy "failed to ensure that patient care services are provided in a manner that protects the health and safety of all patients" and several procedures were not performed correctly when Joan went in for a routine throat procedure on August 28.
According to the filed documents, the medical team at the facility failed to notice the 81-year-old comedienne's blood-oxygen level was dropping below the normal level in the 15 minutes before she stopped breathing and inconsistently documented the amount of the sedative Propofol she was administered before the operation and did not weigh her before giving her the drug.
The report also claims an ENT doctor without privileges to operate at the clinic was allowed to perform procedures on Rivers, and a member of staff took a photo of Joan on her phone while she was sedated and awaiting the procedure.
In conclusion, the document stated the biggest error made by the physicians caring for Joan was that they "failed to identify deteriorating vital signs and provide timely intervention during the procedure".
It was confirmed that Joan was successfully resuscitated at the clinic before being moved to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was placed in a medically induced coma after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Joan never regained conciousness and her daughter Melissa Rivers made the decision to take her off life support on September 4.
Speaking through lawyers, Melissa admitted she was outraged by the findings in the report.
Attorneys Ben Rubinowitz and Jeffrey Bloom said in a statement: "Our client, Melissa Rivers, is terribly disappointed to learn of the multiple failings on the part of the medical personnel and the clinic as evidenced by the CMS report."
Law firm Gair, Gair, Conason, Steigman, MacKauf, Bloom & Robinowitz added: "As any of us would be, Ms. Rivers is outraged by the misconduct and mismanagement now shown to have occurred before, during and after the procedure."

Mark Ronson to release album in January

Mark Ronson will release his new album 'Uptown Special' in January.
The collection will be the producer-and-musician's first LP since 2010's 'Record Collection', and will feature acts including Bruno Mars, Hudson Mohwake and Tame Impala's Kevin Parker.
Speaking about his new music, he explained: "The real good stuff on the record came last year when I went out to work with Jeff Bhasker in Venice, out in California, and we started writing some songs and I felt like I had something to say that was not being said."
The 39-year-old star unveiled the first single to be taken from the record, disco-inspired 'Uptown Funk' last week, which features 'Locked Out of Heaven' star Bruno Mars, and revealed that the inspiration for that track, and the other songs on the album, came from a roadtrip around America.
Mark - who made his name working with Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen - explained to BBC Radio 1: "Jeff Bhasker, one night he was like, 'Yeah we're going to drive through the South and find this singer,' and it just sounded so ridiculous, like it was never going to happen, and we actually did.
"We got in the car and drove through Baton Rouge, Louisiana, New Orleans, Mississippi, Memphis, Little Rock, Chicago, went to all these great churches saw a couple of thousand great singers and found the one girl that we were hearing in our heads, this one amazing singer, Keyonce Starr. She's on the record."
'Uptown Special' will be released on January 26 2015.

Meryl Streep and Stevie Wonder awarded Presidential Medal of Freedom

Meryl Streep and Stevie Wonder are to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The 65-year-old actress and the 64-year-old musician are among the 19 people named by President Barack Obama to receive the US' highest civilian honour, which recognises those who make "especially meritorious contributions" to the country.
In a statement, Obama said: "I look forward to presenting these 19 bold, inspiring Americans with our nation's highest civilian honour.
"From activists who fought for change to artists who explored the furthest reaches of our imagination; from scientists who kept America on the cutting edge to public servants who help write new chapters in our American story, these citizens have made extraordinary contributions to our country and the world."
The awards - which are also being handed to the likes of composer Stephen Sondheim and author Isabel Allende - will be presented on November 24 during a ceremony at the White House.
The announcement comes shortly after Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway revealed she would love to work with Meryl again, having starred alongside her in the popular 2006 comedy-drama 'The Devil Wears Prada'.
Anne told 'The Graham Norton Show': "She's fun and super maternal. When I met her she gave me a huge hug and I'm like, 'Oh my god, we are going to have the best time on this movie', and then she's like, 'Ah sweetie, that's the last time I'm nice to you'.
"She then went into her trailer and came out the ice queen and that was really the last I saw of 'Meryl' for months, until we promoted the film."

Jennifer Lawrence: I’ll never use social media

Jennifer Lawrence insists she will never use social media because the internet has "scored her so badly".
The 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' star was recently the victim of internet hackers who posted hundreds of nude pictures of her onto the web, and while the blonde beauty "respects" that Twitter is a popular form of social networking, she also wouldn't get an account because she doesn't understand it.
She said: "If you ever see a Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that says it's me, it most certainly is not.
"The internet has scorned me so bad that I feel it's like that girl in high school, it's like, 'You want to talk about me, yeah I'll do that.'
"[Twitter is] like this weird enigma that people talk about which I think is fine, I respect that, but no I'll never get a Twitter."
The 24-year-old star also admitted she wouldn't ever join any social networking sites because she isn't great at using technology.
Speaking on Radio 1 this morning (11.11.14), she added: "I will never get Twitter. I'm not very good on phones or technology, I cannot really keep up with emails so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me, I don't really understand what it is."
Jennifer previously hit out at the hackers who stole dozens of private images from her iCloud account, insisting they had committed a sex crime against her.
She said: "It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change.
"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this.
"It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world."

Robert Pattinson to introduce FKA Twigs to Kristen

Robert Pattinson is to introduce FKA Twigs to his ex Kristen Stewart.
The 28-year-old hunk is said to have "no problem" about his new girlfriend - who he has been dating since the summer - meeting his 'Twilight' co-star, who he split from last year after failing to get over her fling with director Rupert Sanders in 2012.
A source said: "Rob and Kristen are inevitably going to cross paths. Tahliah (FKA twigs) is a huge part of his life and will be living with him when they are in LA. Rob has no problem at all introducing them to each other."
It is thought Robert and his 26-year-old beau - whose real name is Tahliah Barnett - may bump into Kristen when he takes the British-born beauty to some of the favoured spots in Los Angeles he used to visit with his 24-year-old former flame, who he split from after four years of dating.
A source added to HollywoodLife.com: "Rob's new house is in the Hollywood Hills. It's close to where Kristen lives and Rob will take Tahliah to some of his old favourite spots that he and Kristen used to go to.
"If he and Kristen could talk and break the ice before he introduces her to Tahliah, that would be ideal."
While they have only been dating for a number of months, Robert is said to be "falling in love" with FKA.
A source recently said: "They're very serious, Rob's only seeing her, he's not dating anyone else or even looking at other girls. He's really happy, they're falling in love, he's totally wrapped up in her."

Kendra Wilkinson joins I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! lineup

Kendra Wilkinson is to appear on 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!'
The former Playboy model arrived in Australia earlier today as the shock US contestant set to take part in the ITV reality series, which sees a number of celebrities attempt to survive in the jungle by completing bushtucker trials in return for food and rewards.
The 29-year-old reality star could be set to spill the beans about her relationship with American Football player Hank Baskett, with whom she has two children, after it was claimed earlier this year that he'd had an affair with a transsexual woman.
Joining Kendra in the jungle will be former Premier League footballer Jimmy Bullard, 36 - who played for teams including Fulham, Wigan and Hull City.
He said of his decision to take part: "I am a massive fan of the show. I'm doing nothing else. I'm retired. It was an easy decision."
Jimmy added: "I am not worried about being seen naked. I live naked half the time!"
Other celebrities who have arrived Down Under include legendary BBC journalist Michael Buerk, TV presenter Melanie Sykes, 'Coronation Street' actor Craig Charles, Tinchy Stryder, Carl Fogarty, Vicki Michelle and Nadia Forde.
'The Only Way Is Essex' favourite Gemma Collins is also reported to have confirmed her spot on the show, although she is yet to arrive in Australia.

Sharon Osbourne slams X Factor panel

Sharon Osbourne thinks 'The X Factor' judging panel is s**t this year.
The 62-year-old television personality returned to the show as a judge in 2013 following a four year stint from 2004 to 2007, but has slammed the current panel, featuring Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Mel B, insisting the former Spice Girls star is the only interesting mentor.
The feisty mother-of-three hit out at the ITV show, saying: "Mel B is the only one with a real opinion. Everything else is bulls**t."
Taking her torrent of abuse against the show to another level, she explained that she thinks the talent show should be axed due to tumbling ratings, with BBC One's 'Strictly Come Dancing' repeatedly pulling in more viewers.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she continued: "I think it's time they all went home.
"I think it would have been lovely to end it on top last year when the numbers were great. Now, they're going down and it's like a shame to keep something going when it's going downhill.
"You should always stop when you're on top."
Meanwhile, Sharon - who is married to Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne - revealed she would be returning to TV screens with her family in 2015 for eight new episodes of their reality show 'The Osbournes', which tracks their hectic day-to-day life.

Claudia Winkleman to return to Strictly Come Dancing this weekend?

Claudia Winkleman could be set to return to 'Strictly Come Dancing' this weekend.
The much-loved TV presenter was forced to pull out of co-hosting the BBC One celebrity dance contest with Tess Daly for the past two weeks after her daughter was badly burned in a Halloween accident.
However, after spending a fortnight at eight-year-old Matilda's hospital bedside, BBC bosses are optimistic Claudia will return in time to present this weekend's Blackpool spectacular at the Tower Ballroom, the Daily Express newspaper reports.
The 42-year-old host - who has proved a huge hit on the show since joining earlier this year after Sir Bruce Forsyth decided to step down from his role - was replaced by spin-off show 'It Takes Two' presenter Zoe Ball during her absence.
Claudia and husband Kris Thykier's daughter Matilda had to be rushed to hospital on October 31 after her Halloween costume reportedly caught fire and burnt her legs.
In a statement, the couple - who also have sons Jake and Arthur together - said at the time: "Our daughter was involved in an accident on Friday night while celebrating Halloween. She is having the best care possible and we are hopeful of a full recovery."
Meanwhile, 'This Morning' reporter Alison Hammond was the latest celebrity to be voted out of the competition last weekend after she and former 'Xtra Factor' host Caroline Flack found themselves in the dance off.
Paying tribute to Claudia and her family, Alison said: "Our thoughts are with her."

Paul Akister is rooting for Stereo Kicks

Paul Akister hopes Stereo Kicks will do well on 'The X Factor'.
The wannabe popstar - who was voted off the ITV talent show last weekend - has confessed he's grown close to the boy band's Barclay Beales and is rooting for them to go far in the competition.
Quizzed on who he was going to miss the most, Paul exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Barclay out of the eight piece, Stereo Kicks. It has just really been Barclay, the closest one, because he's like me so we've been getting along and it will be nice to see him out of this competition."
The 25-year-old hopeful went on to confess that he admires the group as he doesn't think he would've been able to cope if he'd been put together with seven contestants he'd never met before and asked to perform.
He said: "They're really nice and they're ... It's weird to see them all get along well because for me, if I was in a group I'd be quite uptight all the time but they're really cool together and I want them to do well because it must be hard to be shoved into a group. I couldn't do it."
Meanwhile, Paul has rubbished claims his quiet personality could prevent him from pursuing a career in the music industry.
He added: "100 per cent not true. You don't have to be flying about to be a credible artist. You don't have to be doing cartwheels onto the stage and jumping around in interviews. I think it's quite good to see different people."

Star Wars Episode VIII to be filmed at Pinewood Studios

'Star Wars Episode VIII' will be filmed at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
The news - which comes just a week after filming on 'Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens' wrapped at the studio in Buckinghamshire, South East England - has been confirmed by Pinewood CEO Ivan Dunleavy, who said that the iconic franchise will be returning during a CBI Conference.
He said: "I'm delighted to be able to tell you that a new 'Star Wars' movie is already booked in."
All of the existing 'Star Wars' movies have featured some UK production, including JJ Abrams's much-anticipated 'Episode VII: The Force Awakens'.
Last month, meanwhile, it was confirmed that Warwick Davis is to appear in 'Star Wars Episode VII'.
The 44-year-old actor will star alongside returning actors Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher as well as new faces John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac.
Warwick - who also portrayed Wicket in two TV spin-off movies 'The Ewok Adventure' and 'Ewoks: The Battle for Endor' - appeared in prequel 'Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace'.
'Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens' will open in December 2015, while 'Star Wars: Episode VIII' will be released in 2017.
