Selena Gomez ’emotional’ ahead of American Music Awards

Selena Gomez is "emotional" ahead of her performance at the American Music Awards tonight (23.11.14).
The 'Come And Get It' hitmaker posted a black and white Instagram video of her at the rehearsals for the AMA's, where she spoke about the song she will be performing, 'The Heart Wants What It Wants'.
In the video, she says: "More than anything I'm just excited that people can, everywhere, who are feeling what I feel and feel that, will get to see that.
"And I just want people to be able to relate to that."
A source has also revealed that the 22-year-old singer - who recently split from on and off boyfriend, Justin Bieber - is likely to cry during the show.
The insider admitted to HollywoodLife.com: "[She] knows she'll cry during the AMA's performance!"
Meanwhile, Justin is reportedly planning to "surprise" Selena at the music award show.
Another source revealed: "He came back to LA because he wants to see Selena. He's even talking about showing up at the AMA's to see her. No one on his team thinks that's a good idea but Justin's going to do what he wants to do.
"He really wants to be with Selena, he feels like that's the only thing that will make him happy. He's struggling big time. He's got his friends trying to talk to her, he just wants to see her face to face because he's convinced that if she sees him they can work it out. But so far she's shutting him out completely."

Amber Heard ‘unhappy’ with Johnny Depp

Amber Heard thinks Johnny Depp made a "fool" of himself.
The 28-year-old actress and model - who is engaged to the 'Transcendence' star - is "unhappy" with her fiance's strange presentation at the Hollywood Film Awards last week (15.11.14) where he appeared to be drunk.
A source revealed to Star Magazine: "Amber couldn't believe he had made such a fool out of himself.
"This reflects really badly on her, and she's not happy about it."
Meanwhile, Amber is reportedly bonding with Johnny's children - 15-year-old Lily-Rose and Jack, 12, who he has with his ex-wife Vanessa Paradis - and has become a "true" part of the family.
A source recently revealed: "It took Johnny a long time to get to this point with the kids, but this spring has marked Amber becoming a true part of the family and being involved with the upbringing of Johnny's kids - albeit on a somewhat limited basis.
"Amber sees Johnny's children nearly every weekend Johnny does, especially when they're in Los Angeles and not working on sets."
Johnny, 51, has been encouraging his kids to develop their relationship with Amber by organising "weekend getaways" so they can get to know each other.
The source added: "Johnny has gotten in the habit of setting up remote weekend getaways with Amber and the kids, and usually he will lease a helicopter and have them all ferried to a remote location or resort in Southern California."

Benedict Cumberbatch’s hope for new fiancee

Benedict Cumberbatch thinks his fans will like his fiancee.
The 'Imitation Game' star - who recently revealed he was engaged to Sophie Hunter - believes his loyal fans will love his future bride because they love him.
He explained: "Since the woman I'm engaged to is as much a part of me as anything else in my life, if they like me, by extension they like her."
The 38-year-old actor also revealed that he doesn't mind the attention he gets from women.
He said: "I think most of it is good-natured and like anyone who's ever been in the public eye and kind of revered in a way that I've been by these fans, the possession only takes on a sinister quality if the [fan] is really not very secure."
Benedict - who confirmed his engagement last month by placing an announcement in the Times newspaper - has revealed that he chose that method so he had more "control".
He told the New York Daily News: "There are other operations in newspapers that find things out or try to publicise rumour and gossip.
"I wanted to take control over the facts of it and announce it in a way that I would've done if I wasn't famous."
The announcement in the newspaper, published on November 5th, read: "Mr B. T. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter: The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London."

Kate Hudson plans birthday presents

Kate Hudson plans her mother's birthday presents years in advance.
The 'Almost Famous' star has revealed that she had been planning for years what present to get her mother, Goldie Hawn, for her 69th birthday, which took place on Friday (21.11.14).
Speaking about the present she bought, she said: "I got my mom this beautiful china that just embodies my mom. She loves table settings, but they're so extraordinarily expensive that I kind of have been buying them over the years.
"I give her a place setting, it's been six years now. This year I got her the coffee setting, with the creamer and the sugar."
Meanwhile, Kate previously revealed that she credits her mother for giving her body confidence.
She said: "My mom always celebrated the female body so she gave me confidence. I felt that when I started becoming a woman and getting my figure, it was celebrated.
"I have been able to deal with the pressures of Hollywood, thanks to those early lessons from my mom."
Kate - who has Ryder, 10, with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson, and 5-year-old Bingham, with her current partner, Matthew Bellamy - is hoping to pass on her mother's wise words to her own kids.
She explained: "I will instil in my children the idea you should always be open about your body - though you should respect your body."

John Mayer helped Katherine Heigl to get husband to commit

Katherine Heigl used John Mayer to convince her husband to commit to her.
The 'State of Affairs' star - who has been married to Josh Kelley since December 2009 - has admitted that she threatened her now-husband to commit to her or lose her to John.
She explained: "Around the same time I met Josh, I also met John Mayer. John Mayer and I are from neighbouring towns and knew some of the same people.
"My Josh had gone off on tour and was playing hard to get. So I didn't know - are we a thing? Are we a couple?"
The 35-year-old actress - who admitted that her relationship with John was always only ever platonic - revealed that she kept the secret from Josh until they had been married for a year.
Speaking on 'The Meredith Vieira Show', she said: "These musicians, they are competitive and jealous of each other. [So] over the phone, because he was on tour, I was like, 'Josh, I've got to be honest. I just want to know where we stand because if not, I might try to pursue something with John.'
"[I confessed] probably a year into our marriage. I was like, 'You got played!'"
The couple - who first met in 2005 when Katherine played his love interest in the music video for 'Only You' - have two children together: Naleigh, 5, and 2-year-old Adalaide.

Baby boy for Kourtney Kardashian?

Kourtney Kardashian is believed to be having a baby boy.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star - who is currently pregnant with her third child by Scott Disick - was reportedly spotted stocking up on blue outfits for the baby, according to reports by RadarOnline.com.
Meanwhile, Kourtney recently hinted that her baby is due around Christmas time.
She revealed that she'd be keeping her obstetrician and gynaecologist close by, after her 4-year-old, Mason, came ten days earlier than expected.
The 35-year-old television personality - who also has Penelope, 2 - joked: "I'm going to keep him handcuffed to me!
"With Mason, I was due on December 24 and my mom said, 'No, not on the night of my Christmas Eve party! But he was born 10 days early, so we'll see what happens this time."
Kourtney also admitted that this pregnancy has so far been the hardest for her out of the three.
She said: "I love being pregnant in general. This time I'm more tired than I was the other times. I think it's because I'm always running around and working on different things.
"But I feel comfortable with how I look and feel. I find a pregnant body to be beautiful and an incredible reminder of what a woman's body is made to do."

Mila Kunis: Jupiter Ascending was like boot camp

Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum "got in trouble" for losing too much weight filming 'Jupiter Ascending'.
The 31-year-old actress - who has two-month-old daughter Wyatt with fiancé Ashton Kutcher - admits the futuristic action adventure was the most physically demanding project she has ever undertaken and felt like a "massive boot camp".
She said: "The whole film was a massive boot camp. I have no body fat in this movie for the first time in my life.
"For five days a week, you train every single day, for six months. Just work out all day long for six months and yu too will have no body fat.
"We both got in trouble for losing too much weight. It was really bad."
Mila doesn't think she is very much like her character Jupiter because she has always believed in herself and felt supported.
She told SFX magazine: "Even at my lowest when I was trying to figure my life out or going through puberty I never doubted myself like Jupiter did.
"I always had a very good backbone, being my family. Which was always an incredible support system.
"So anytime I questioned anything it was never as dire as Jupiter. I think Jupiter feels like she's alone. I've always been very lucky where I never felt alone."

The Charlatans’ new approach

The Charlatans took a "completely different approach" to working without Jon Brookes.
The 'One to Another' group - who were left devastated after the drummer passed away from a brain tumour last year - found it "cathartic" recording new material but didn't worry about getting a replacement for their late bandmate until they needed to.
Frontman Tim Burgess said: "I suppose it felt a little bit different making it, but we just kind of made it with lots of optimism.
"It was a completely different approach. We wrote the songs without drums. We wrote them with drums in mind, and then decided who we would like to play the drums after. "
His bandmate Martin Blunt added: "We started in January and finished in June and as the process went along with the songs, it was quite cathartic for the rest of us. We've probably done our most optimistic second record."
One track on the album, which is entitled 'Modern Nature' and will be released in January 2015, was partly written by John and they hope its inclusion is a "fitting tribute" to their friend.
Martin told BANG Showbiz: "Before Jon suddenly passed away, he began to write some lyrics for a song he had in mind. He'd started to demo it with a friend of his, and we managed to unravel that. It's like an extra track on one of the CDs.
"He wrote them in hospital. Pretty heavy, but, it's not the end."
Tim added: "We just did our best and did it very slowly, a fitting tribute I think."
However, the singer admitted he found it tough to sing Jon's words so opted just to take backing vocals.
Asked if he found it hard to sing the song, he said: "You know what, it was, so I didn't. Jon had this song in mind and he presented it to the band, in a written demo form, with some kids singing it, some students from a music college. It just sounded so great that I only did backing vocals. They were pretty tough to sing."

Claudia Winkleman receives Strictly Come Dancing applause

Claudia Winkleman received a standing ovation when she returned to 'Strictly Come Dancing' on Saturday evening (22.11.14).
The 42-year-old presenter has been absent from the BBC One dancing competition for the past three weeks as she cared for her eight-year-old daughter, Matilda, who was seriously burnt after her Halloween costume caught on fire last month.
However, when co-host Tess Daly opened last night's show, she said: "Hello and welcome to 'Strictly Come Dancing' and of course, a big welcome back to Claudia."
Following rapturous applause and the audience rising to their feet to praise the mother-of-three, Claudia expressed appreciation for the support from viewers during the tough period, and thanked presenter Zoe Ball who filled in for her on the star-studded talent contest.
She said: "Thank you so much. It is wonderful to be here, a huge thanks to Zoe for stepping in."
On Friday (21.11.14), the star took to Twitter to urge fans to "bear with me" as she returned to the programme after a tough few weeks, now that her daughter is believed to have been discharged from hospital.
In a series of messages, she wrote: "Matilda is doing well and although it will be a long road to recovery, she is getting... The best possible care. Thank you so much for your lovely messages - they meant everything.
"I'm coming back to Strictly this weekend but am out of practice so please bear with me."

Beyoncé and Jay Z ‘newlyweds’ at Solange’s wedding

Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z acted like "newlyweds" at her sister's wedding.
The couple, whose marriage was rumoured be on the rocks earlier this year, reportedly looked more in love than ever as they partied at the 'Pretty Hurts' hitmaker's younger sibling Solange Knowles and husband Alan Ferguson's reception in New Orleans, Louisiana last Sunday (16.11.14).
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Beyoncé and Jay Z were dancing up a storm. It was like they were newlyweds."
The 32-year-old singer was moved to tears as her 28-year-old sister exchanged vows with the video director in front of 100 guests, including Janelle Monae and Questlove.
Guests dined on shrimp, grits, oyster bisque and chicken roulade before taking to the streets for a wedding parade.
The couple then hosted a cocktail hour in the yard of the city's Marigny Opera House after tying the knot there and then boarded a bus dubbed the Boom Boom Room to take them to the New Orleans Art Museum for an after-party.
Beyoncé and Jay Z, who have two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, renewed their wedding vows in Paris in September after getting their marriage back on track.

Ashton Irwin was close to death

5 Seconds of Summer's Ashton Irwin was hours away from death when he had his appendix removed.
The 20-year-old hunk decided to check himself in to hospital last month after feeling unwell, but has now revealed he could have died if he had waited any longer before seeking medical attention.
He said: "If I went on a plane it would've burst - and I was meant to get on a plane that day."
The four-piece band - which also includes Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings and Calum Hood - were set to take to the stage at the Radio 1 Teen Choice Awards in October (19.10.14) alongside The Vamps, Ariana Grande and Ella Henderson, but were forced to withdraw from the show just days before the performance when Ashton - who is the band's drummer - began receiving emergency treatment for appendicitis.
However, the playful star - who later underwent an operation to remove his appendix - wasn't too bothered about his scrape with death, and was more concerned by the fact he was unable to keep the organ as a souvenir.
He joked to The Sun newspaper: "It was taken out but they wouldn't let me keep it. You can't do that anymore."
During his stint in hospital, the bored star added that he was more concerned about the cosmetic appearance of his navel than the success of the operation.
He tweeted: "You know when ya think you have a normal belly button... And then you have surgery and you're belly button is now butt ugly. (sic)"

Lily Allen didn’t enjoy sex before Sam

Lily Allen didn't enjoy sex until her mid-twenties.
The 'Air Balloon' singer has admitted she found sex to be disappointing when she lost her virginity, blaming films for giving her false expectations, and has only loved getting down and dirty in the bedroom since meeting her husband, Sam Cooper, who she married in 2011.
She confessed: "Sex definitely lacked magic for a long time for me.
"Girls don't really start enjoying sex until their mid-twenties.
"I remember when I became sexually active thinking, 'Where's all that stuff that happens in the movies?' The reality was a disappointment."
The 29-year-old star - who released her third studio album, 'Sheezus', earlier this year - has been vocal about her sex life in her music, with 'Not Fair' scalding a partner for his premature ejaculation, while 'L8 CMMR' praised Sam for his sexual prowess.
However, the musician went on to slam the rest of the media industry for depicting sex in an unrealistic way.
She continued: "I think the way sex is presented in modern media is not a fair representation of what it actually is. There's too much emphasis on sex being almost an aesthetic thing - it's rarely presented as an emotive experience."
Lily - who recently supported 'Wrecking Ball' singer Miley Cyrus on a tour of the US - didn't talk about sex education with her parents, and said she hopes her daughters, Ethel Mary, two, and 22-month-old Marnie Rose.
Talking to the Mail on Sunday newspaper, she added: "I want my kids to know where they are and now that they're loved. And that they can always talk to me and Sam."
