Felipe Alviar-Baquero like a dad to Apprentice candidates

Felipe Alviar-Baquero felt like a father to the other 'The Apprentice' candidates.
The father-of-two was fired from the BBC One business programme in last night's episode (03.12.14) and admitted some of the other hopefuls may struggle now he has left the process.
He said: "I am a dad and I have two kids, and I was the dad of the house. I tried to live with everybody, I got on with everybody, cooking more-or-less every night for everyone in the house. As you may have seen, I helped the guys with things they didn't know how to do."
The 33-year-old solicitor was frequently shown doing up fellow candidate, Solomon Akhtar's tie during the series, and joked the 22 year old still doesn't know how to do it for himself, so might be stuck now that Felipe has left the show.
He added: "To be honest I don't think that he's worn a tie since then, or he must have kept all the ties that I have done for him since I left."
The upbeat entrepreneur found himself in the boardroom after Team Tenacity lost out on a task in which they needed to purchase a selection of items for the lowest possible cost, and was fired over fellow candidates Daniel Lassman and Katie Bulmer-Cooke.
Although the Colombian-born dad was disappointed to leave the process, he revealed his daughter Isabella may be more upset about his departure as she has loved seeing him on television.
He said: "I've got a seven-year-old Isabella, and four-year-old Sophia, and Isabella watches every single episode with me. She says that Lord Sugar is too mean with me and is scary, and they have a Lord Sugar dance that they do every week, they call it the fire dance. Their dad is on the TV and they have enjoyed the experience."

John Altman teases ‘pretty evil’ EastEnders plot

John Altman has teased a "pretty evil" 'EastEnders' storyline involving his character Nick Cotton.
The 62-year-old actor has appeared in the soap on-and-off since 1985, and hinted at more despicable behaviour from his criminal character Nasty Nick.
In a previous storyline, he attempted to poison his on screen mum Dot Cotton (June Brown) and suggested his upcoming plot will be equally horrible.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "He's going to be just as nasty [as the plot to kill Dot]. It's pretty evil, pretty awful. A bit of a shocker but I can't say what it is."
Nasty Nick returned to screens last month after five years away from the BBC One show - a move which shocked Albert Square residents who had been led to believe he was dead.
However, now that the bad boy is back in Walford, John said he has a hectic schedule ahead of him due to the plot in which he is involved.
He added: "They offered me a pretty big storyline. I didn't think it would make any difference going back one more time in terms of being typecast."
Upon rejoining the soap, Altman has observed it has evolved in a huge way since he originally joined the cast almost 30 years ago
Talking about the changes to 'EastEnders', he said: "It's so much bigger. It's a huge operation. It's hard work and it takes over your life when you've got a big storyline."
Meanwhile, Altman has released a Christmas single, a festive rendition of Iggy Pop's 'Real Wild Child (Wild One)', with all-girl rock band JOANovARC.
The single is out now and can be downloaded from iTunes.

Mariah Carey ‘didn’t show up’ for performance

Mariah Carey "didn't show up" to pre-record her performance at the switching on of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lights.
The 44-year-old star took to the stage at the iconic venue in New York last night (03.11.14) but it's been revealed TV bosses intended for her to pre-record the Christmas songs ahead of the live show, but she never arrived for filming.
A source shared: "The diva was supposed to pre-tape her performance of Christmas songs like she's done before. The show is live Wednesday, but producers have learned their lesson with her over the years and that they must pre-tape her. She always shows up late. On Tuesday night, she didn't show up at all."
The 'We Belong Together' hitmaker is said to have kept producers, staff and crew from NBC waiting in the rain for three hours when she failed to show up at the recording session for the 82nd annual tree lighting extravaganza.
The source told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column: "Her camp kept saying she was ten minutes away, which was technically true because her hotel, The Palace Hotel, where she was staying, is about a 10minute ride away from 30 rock. But she was not en route."
The event organisers were then forced to send the audience home without seeing the star after they'd waited in the cold for hours.
The source added: "They left without seeing Mariah and now producers are scrambling to figure out what to do since NBC has already advertised she is a part of the show, and usually a big draw for it as well."
However, Mariah later took to Twitter to apologise to fans claiming the situation was "beyond" her "control" and performed tracks including 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' at the live show.

Kendra Wilkinson had suicidal thoughts

Kendra Wilkinson has suicidal thoughts during her marriage crisis.
The former Playboy model has admitted she felt like ending her life after discovering her husband Hank Baskett, 32 - with whom she has four-year-old son Hank Baskett IV and six-month-old daughter Alijah - had allegedly cheated on her with a transsexual model.
According to PEOPLE magazine, she said: "I was at a real low. I even questioned my life. If it wasn't for breastfeeding Alijah, the bond I had with her, I feel like I would have probably ended my life. I felt like I'm not even supposed to be here."
The 29-year-old star makes the confession in the special two-part finale of her reality series 'Kendra On Top', which is set to air in the US tomorrow (05.12.14).
The episode will also feature Kendra's first on-screen interview with her former American football player husband since the news broke of his alleged infidelity.
Meanwhile, a close friend of Kendra's recently revealed the blonde beauty is taking part in British reality show 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' in a bid to cure her heartache.
Jessica Hall revealed: "She wanted to do it to prove to herself what a strong person she is, because she has had a tough year. She needed the time out."
Kendra's pal added that she hopes the couple will be able to put their differences aside in the future.
She admitted: "I would love to see them make it work, because I adore both of them and they are terrific together. I'm rooting for Hank."
Meanwhile, speaking in the 'I'm A Celeb' jungle in Australia, Kendra told her campmates viewers wouldn't find out whether there is any truth behind the allegations made against her husband until April.

Peter Jackson relieved to complete The Hobbit

Peter Jackson is looking forward to sitting on a beach having completed 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies'.
The award-winning director admits he's keen to escape the stresses that come with trying to bring the novels of J. R. R. Tolkien to the big screen.
Peter, 53, admits he felt a pressure to do justice to the iconic novels, but he explained: "I don't have those responsibilities any more. I can go to the beach.
"But I mean, any film has responsibilities because you're spending money that's not yours, and so you've got to be responsible for their view."
Peter also admitted he's been desperate to entertain fans with 'The Hobbit' trilogy.
He said: "I also feel very responsible for the fact that you're trying to entertain people and for me, a failure is to make a film that people go to and pay their money to go see and they don't like.
"So from that point of view, I'm sure that there are people who have seen these films and they don't like them. But the majority of people have gone and enjoyed them, which, for me, is why we do what we do."
What's more, Peter explained that 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' will be the last Tolkien story he turns into a film, because the author's other work is legally protected.

Agyness Dean used to fake US accent

Agyness Dean used to fake an American accent.
The 31-year-old former model - who was born in Greater Manchester, England - moved to Los Angeles almost five years ago but local residents still have a hard time understanding her Lancashire tones.
She said: "In LA, everyone thinks I'm Australian. I tell them I'm English and they say 'same thing'.
"My accent has definitely softened because when I first came over, I had to put on an American accent as no one understood a word I was saying."
The 'Electricity' actress - who is married to actor Giovanni Ribisi - gave up modelling because she wanted a new "challenge" and admits it is only now she is out of the fashion industry that she can really see what a good time she had during her catwalk days.
She added to Stylist magazine: "When I was modelling, I found the attention embarrassing and surreal. Not in a bad way, but because it felt like the attention was undue.
"I now feel like I didn't have perspective because it was all so much, but it was a great time in my life.
"Getting out of modelling was a conscious decision though. I fell into it after I was spotted and had an amazing 12 years, but I was craving a challenge.
"I've always been very private and I didn't intentionally drop out of the public eye, it happened because I moved to LA and all my focus was on my career change."

Azealia Banks: Drugs changed me in ‘a good way’

Azealia Banks changed "in a good way" when she started taking drugs.
The 22-year-old rapper split from her much-older boyfriend when she found fame and though she initially slipped into a "deep depression", she began experimenting with mood-altering substances and enjoyed the effect they had on her.
She said: "He got into jealously and all that. So once we broke up, I went into this deep, deep depression.
"I was doing a lot of drugs. And I went to a lot of places with myself. I saw a lot of things in other realms. My circuitry started to switch. In a good way.
"Those things, they knock the crust off your third eye. Just like, wooooo - you can see ghosts and s**t."
Azealia was 17 when she began dating the 43 year old and he didn't like her partying because of his own past experiences with substance abuse.
She added to NME magazine: "I was a little girl. Everything he said was like what I had to do. And he was very controlling.
"He didn't want me to do drugs because he'd had a substance problem and been to rehab. When '212' came out, I'd barely had a beer."

Paul McCartney made game song for kids

Sir Paul McCartney agreed to soundtrack a video game to "infiltrate" his children and grandchildren's lives.
The Beatles legend has recorded the theme tune for new game 'Destiny' and agreed they could use his song 'Hope for the Future' because he thinks it's the only way he can now get his family to listen to his music.
He said: "I know from my kids and my grandkids, they just bury themselves in a game and I don't think they've got time to listen to my music.
"Their agenda is pretty full with all the other stuff, you know, so I like the idea of infiltrating into their agenda."
The 'Hey Jude' singer admitted to trying his hand at the game but "wasn't very good" and his lives didn't last very long.
He confessed: "I wasn't very good at it, but I'm not very good at games.
"I've got so much else to be getting on with, I can't have my face in a screen, you know, bopping along in a game.
"I had a go and it was great, but I got mashed almost instantly. The aliens mashed me."
Paul previously appeared as a playable character in 'The Beatles: Rock Band' and even though he stuck to his own instrument, he still lost against his family.
He told NME magazine: "I played that with my kids and they creamed me.
"I even played the bass thinking I'd have an edge, but it's all these little bombs coming at you and it's not like playing bass for real.
"I just said, 'It doesn't matter if I win or lose - I wrote it.' "
'Hope for the Future' is released on December 8.

Scott Disick is taking care of Kourtney Kardashian

Scott Disick is "taking care" of Kourtney Kardashian as she prepares to give birth again.
The couple, who have been arguing over the 31-year-old entrepreneur's drinking and partying in recent months, are reportedly in a much better place ahead of the arrival of their third child later this month, as there has been a noticeable change in Scott's behaviour.
A source said: "For the first time in a long time, Kourtney said she has nothing to complain about when it comes to Scott."
Scott checked into rehab for five days over the summer after being hospitalised for alcohol poisoning, but is now attempting to get his life back on track for the sake of their family, including son Mason, four, and daughter Penelope, two.
The insider told gossip website RadarOnline.com: "Even though Kourtney is moody, Scott has actually been good to her and to the kids this past week.
"He is taking care of her and she says she is content right now. She even referred to him as her sweetheart!"
Scott recently admitted he was convinced he was going to die when he nearly overdosed on alcohol and sleeping pills in June and Kourtney, 35, threatened to leave him unless he sought treatment.
She said on their show 'Kourtney & Khloé Take The Hamptons': "You're either going to be away for a month - or be away from them [the children] forever."

Blake Lively feels her "strongest and sexiest" when she gets dressed up.
The 27-year-old 'Savages' actress, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Ryan Reynolds, admits she feels a lot more confident when she gets pampered by professionals.
She said: "When do I feel my strongest and sexiest? I don't know. Maybe when I've got a lot of good hair and makeup on."
The former 'Gossip Girl' star, who recently launched her new lifestyle website Preserve, hinted she has no plans to take a step back from her Hollywood career after she gives birth.
She told E! News at the L'Oréal Women of Worth Celebration in New York City on Tuesday night (02.12.14): "The women that I'm attracted to are the women who never sit back and say, 'Okay, I'm done, I'm good.' And you see that here tonight with the women who are being honoured. You look at the changes they've made in the world and they're just not complacent and that's pretty cool to hear their stories."
The blonde beauty is looking forward to Christmas and admits it was very difficult for her to select gifts for her recent gift guide on her lifestyle blog.
She said: "It was very hard to narrow it down. I like Christmas too much so it was just like I wanted everything Christmas-y. And I really actually use everything that's on the site, so my poor husband, our house is just like filled with this stuff that I'm using all the time. So I love it."

Kesha’s mother countersues Dr. Luke

Kesha's mother is countersuing Dr. Luke.
Pebe Sebert claims the music producer, who is also embroiled in a court battle with the 'Tik Tok' hitmaker, claims she suffered emotional distress and post-traumatic stress disorder after he allegedly raped her daughter in a way "not to be tolerated in civilised society."
The 58-year-old singer also alleges the record executive - real name Lukasz Gottwald - acquired the name 'Dr.' because he used to deal drugs to celebrities when he worked as a guitarist on 'Saturday Night Live' for 10 years, and claims he boasted about taking girls out, getting them drunk and having sex with them.
She says the 41-year-old musician tormented and abused her by violating her daughter and she had to be medicated during a therapy session because she became hysterical when talking about him.
Her court documents largely restate claims made by Kesha in her lawsuit, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
The 27-year-old star filed legal papers in October seeking to have her record contract with Dr. Luke dissolved and accused him of sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally abusing her for almost a decade.
Shortly afterwards he filed a countersuit against the blonde beauty and also a separate lawsuit against her mother, claiming Pebe orchestrated a smear campaign of lies against him and tried to extort him in a desperate attempt to get Kesha out of her contract with him.
