Chris Hemsworth wants to do comedy

Chris Hemsworth wants to improvise more when making films.

The 31-year-old actor recently attempted to improvise in his first ever comedy, ‘Vacation’, and admitted although he was initially terrified about the prospect, he really enjoyed the challenge because it was so fun in comparison to his typically hard-hitting roles.

He said: "I haven’t been that nervous in a long time,

"But very quickly I realised, this is fun. There was no ego. Every day we’d be on set, laughing. I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me? Why wouldn’t I do more of this?’ "

The hunk – who is known for his roles in ‘Thor’, ‘Avengers Assemble’ and ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ – revealed he is also hoping to star in some romance movies in the future because he doesn’t want to be typecast as a violent character.

Speaking about the 2004 film ‘The Notebook’, he said: "It was solid. I need to do a romance, something where I’m not swinging a weapon and beating someone up."

The father of three – who has two-year-old daughter India, and nine-month-old twins Tristan and Sasha with his wife Elsa Pataky – also admitted despite the fact he often plays the hero, he never takes his work home with him.

Talking about his advice for other actors, he America’s told GQ magazine: "Don’t bring it home. Don’t even bring it to the makeup trailer."
