Maria Shriver ‘disgusted’ by Miley Cyrus’ nude shoot

Maria Shriver is "disgusted" by Miley Cyrus' nude photo shoot.
The mother of Miley's boyfriend, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is reportedly shocked by the 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker's latest antics, which saw her strip off for V magazine.
A source shared: "Maria is disgusted by the pictures. She just doesn't get it: why Miley would do this and what the appeal is for Patrick."
The 59-year-old journalist is not the most supportive of her son's new relationship but is feeling the pressure from her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 67.
The source added: "She's in a very hard place, she's getting pushed into a corner by Arnold, she doesn't want to be the bad cop.
"The only one still on her side is Katherine [her daughter] and Patrick's wearing her down too."
Despite his mother's protests, Patrick is believed to be sticking by his girlfriend.
An insider added to HollywoodLife.com: "He knows what he signed up for dating Miley. She wouldn't like him if he didn't accept her for who she is and he is totally OK with what she does to express herself.
"He is with her on everything she does, as long as she doesn't get hurt he is totally down with everything."

Katy Perry and John Mayer ‘in love’

Katy Perry and John Mayer are "in love".
The 'Dark Horse' hitmaker - who recently rekindled her romance with the 37-year-old singer-songwriter - reportedly went on a double date with friends Allison Williams and her fiancé Ricky Van Veen where the new couple seemed very loved-up.
A source shared: "They are in love. They missed each other.
"They seem very happy about being back together again."
The couple is now working on balancing their work commitments with their personal lives.
The source added to People magazine: "They have to make time for each other and figure out how they can be together in a smooth relationship."
Meanwhile, another insider recently revealed that the 30-year-old singer is giving John "another chance".
A source said previously: "Katy is giving John another chance because she feels like there could be something there."
The pair dated after Katy divorced comedian Russell Brand in 2012, but called an end to their romance in February 2014, shortly after releasing a duet together titled 'Who You Love'.
However, friends of the 'Fireworks' hitmaker are concerned she is moving too fast, following her split from producer Diplo at the end of 2014.
The source added: "Katy and John are back together.
"John pursued Katy relentlessly because it drove him crazy seeing her with Diplo.
"Although her friends have warned her to be careful, she is already ignoring all of the red flags. She is not listening to anyone and is going into this full force."

Jessica Biel ’embracing’ pregnancy

Jessica Biel is "embracing" her pregnancy.
The 32-year-old actress has yet to officially confirm she is expecting a baby with husband Justin Timberlake but was spotted with a noticeable bump whilst she enjoyed lunch in Los Angeles yesterday (14.01.15).
A source shared: "She's in her third trimester now and feeling good. She has stayed active during her pregnancy and tried to get in as much exercise as possible.
"She loves going hiking or on walks. She also does yoga at home and light stretching. She has spent a lot of time at home and plans to slow down on traveling in the next two months... she's embraced being a homebody and taking it easy."
The 'Total Recall' star has been feasting on organic foods to make sure she stays healthy ahead of the impending arrival.
The source added to E! News: "She has been having deliveries from local farms so she can eat fresh organic produce and be as healthy as possible throughout the pregnancy.
"Being healthy is really important to her. She is very aware of the importance of eating well. She wants to have the best pregnancy possible."
Meanwhile, Jessica is reportedly worried that Justin, 33, "isn't ready" to become a dad.
A source previously shared: "They've spent little time together during Jessica's pregnancy. Justin pretends he doesn't have a care, but you can see how antsy he is.
"He knows it won't be long before his life changes ... now she's concerned it might be more than Justin can handle."

Kristen Bell’s 33 hour labour

Kristen Bell was in labour for 33 hours.
The 'Gossip Girl' star - who gave birth to her second child, Delta, last month - eventually had a caesarean section.
Her husband, Dax Shepard, shared: "Kristen, God bless her was in labour for 33 hours. It was incredible.
"This was intense. And she got an epidural like hour 14, as you should, and I think dads need something. I deserve something because I was along for the ride. It's still a car crash and I'm in the passenger seat.
"I'm playing Katy Perry and I'm rubbing her back and I'm thinking, 'I need something for this! Help me!'
"And then at the last minute, which was heartbreaking, she then needed to have a C-section, which happens. It's all right. I have a healthy baby so everything's great."
Dax then joked that he "needed medication" if him and his 34-year-old wife were to have another baby.
The 'This Is Where I Leave You' actor - who also has 21-month-old Lincoln with Kristen - revealed how the name, Delta, was suggested by a friend as a joke.
When asked how they chose the name, he told The Ellen Degeneres Show: "It was a joke because our first daughter's name is Lincoln, which is very masculine.
"So, a friend of mine teasingly texted me: 'Oh, great! What's this one gonna be? Navy Seal? Delta Force? Green Burette?'
"I was reading this text out loud to Kristen. And I said, 'Oh, Louis Steve said what if we named her Delta?' Delta! Delta Bell Shepard! That's it!'"

Eddie Redmayne ‘intimidated’ by red carpets

Eddie Redmayne thinks red carpets can be "intimidating".
The 'Theory of Everything' star - who was announced today (15.01.15) as one of the nominees for Best Actor at the Oscars - has revealed that he finds events like those nerve-wracking and is glad he has his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, by his side throughout them.
He said: "It's so lovely - those events, the red carpets can be intimidating so having your partner there means the world.
"I'm not quite sure what she makes of them all but she's very supportive."
The 33-year-old actor - who married Hannah at a winter-themed ceremony in Somerset, south west England last month - tries to help his wife pick her outfits for Hollywood events, despite admitting he's not a great shopper.
He shared: "I tend not to be very good at shopping but she'll put things on and give me a [twirl] and she'll ask for me for advice ...
"I try and be helpful but I'm not sure I'm distinctly qualified for it."
Eddie - who earlier this week won a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in the biographical drama - admits that the he can get overwhelmed by the attention he receives but insists the best way to combat it is by focusing on the next movie.
He told People magazine: "It is extraordinary. The way I stay focused is because I'm working on something else so literally I'm preparing and rehearsing for a new film that's starting in a week or two so in some ways you're focus is on that and it's a very good way of remind yourself that the work is the important thing, as wonderful as this ride has been. But that's how I try and keep my focus."

Neil Patrick Harris loses Oscar bet

Neil Patrick Harris lost an Oscars bet with his daughter.
The 'How I Met Your Mother' star had to hand over $20 to his four-year-old daughter, Harper, after the award nominations were announced earlier today (15.01.15).
In a video posted on Twitter, he said: "The Oscar nominations just came out this morning and that could only mean one thing.
"I just lost $20. Here you go, Harper ... I had my money on you Sven Yorgen Finster. Best credit design of a foreign language film."
The 41-year-old actor - who also has Gideon, 4, with his husband, David Burtka - is hosting this year's ceremony and previously revealed that the job is a "dream come true".
He said: "It is truly an honour and a thrill to be asked to host this year's Academy Awards. I grew up watching the Oscars and was always in such awe of some of the greats who hosted the show.
"To be asked to follow in the footsteps of Johnny Carson, Billy Crystal, Ellen Degeneres, and everyone else who had the great fortune of hosting is a bucket list dream come true."
Neil is hoping to make the event fun for all those in attendance, even if they lose out on their prizes.
He shared recently: "Because out of the five nominees, only one wins. So as the show goes on, more and more of the people are unhappy... so that's kind of the game, is to try and figure out how to be fun and casual and confident and keep it moving and keep it a good show, regardless of whether you win or lose, that you're at least enjoying yourself for the evening."

Justin Bieber ‘hurting’ over Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber is "hurting big time" over Selena Gomez.
The 'Baby' hitmaker is reportedly upset over the rumours that his on/off girlfriend is dating music producer and DJ, Zedd, after the pair were spotted holding hands at a Golden Globes after party.
A source shared: "Justin is going to act like he doesn't care one bit, but in his inner circle, everyone knows he's hurting big time over the fact that Selena is with Zedd."
The 20-year-old singer is believed to be "shocked" about his ex's rumoured relationship but is confident he won't be replaced.
The source added: "No he does not think Zedd will replace him.
"He's shocked that she's with Zedd, to the point where he's been saying he thinks it's fake, that they're doing for attention."
The new relationship is "threatening" the ex-couple's chance of reuniting, with an insider revealing that Zedd is exactly what the 'Come And Get It' hitmaker is looking for.
The source told HollywoodLife.com: "Yes, Zedd is a threat to Justin. He's super talented and successful. He's got a ton going on and he's just a nice guy, with an awesome sense of humour.
"Plus, he's sensitive and quirky and Selena likes that kind of stuff in a guy."

Julianne Moore’s Oscar excitement

Julianne Moore could "barely breathe" she was so excited about her Oscar nomination.
The 54-year-old actress was announced among the contenders for the Best Actress prize for her role in 'Still Alice' earlier today (15.01.15) and she is so happy to have got the nod, she made herself "dizzy".
She tweeted: "thank u everyone for the congratulations! i am so happy i can barely breathe #makingmyselfdizzy #AcademyAwards (sic)"
Julianne - who will contend for the honour alongside Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Jones, Rosamund Pike and Marion Cotillard - picked up the same accolade at the Golden Globe Awards at the weekend and revealed afterwards she was unhappy with the way she accepted the prize.
She said: "Now I wish I had taken a deep breath and managed to get [co-stars] Kristen [Stewart]'s name out, for one thing, and Alec [Baldwin]'s. Slowing down, I think, is the message.
"[And] I didn't stand up straight. As I walked up to the stage, I was all hunched over."
However, the actress insisted her errors wouldn't spur her to practice accepting awards in the future.
She said: "I also feel like it's bad juju. I'm oddly superstitious, too. You know, you feel if you're too prepared, you're asking for it."

Benedict Cumberbatch proud of Oscar nomination

Benedict Cumberbatch says telling his parents he has been nominated for an Oscar is one of the "proudest moments" of his life.
The 38-year-old actor was "knocked for six" to be in the running for Best Actor at the Academy Awards for his role in 'The Imitation Game' and delighted in breaking the news to father Timothy Carlton and mother Wanda Ventham earlier today (15.01.15).
He said: "I am knocked for six by this. So excited and honoured to receive this recognition. It's wonderful to be included by the academy in this exceptional year of performances. To ring my parents who are both actors and tell them that their only son has been nominated for an Oscar is one of the proudest moments of my life."
Meanwhile, fellow Best Actor nominee Eddie Redmayne - who picked up the Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama at the Golden Globe awards last weekend - was woken up with the good news this morning.
The 'Theory of Everything' star told USA Today newspaper: "I'm in bed! 20 minutes ago I was in a deep, dark sleep, and there was this gigantic knock on the door. I stumbled in the dark and put a towel on and my manager was there brandishing a telephone with a lot of screaming coming out of it.
"[The nomination is] like cherries being placed on top of the most beautiful cake."
And the British actor - who married girlfriend Hannah Bagshawe last month - admitted his new wife was equally thrilled by the news.
He said: "I just spoke to her now, and she said, 'Ed, how am I meant to do the tax returns today when I'm so excited?' "
Meanwhile, Steve Carrell - whose turn in 'Foxcatcher' has earned him a Best Actor nomination - thanked his co-stars in the movie for the "great honour" of being nominated.
He tweeted: "Such a great honor. Thank you @TheAcademy. Love to @MarkRuffalo, @channingtatum, Bill Corso, and Bennet Miller. #Foxcatcher (sic)"
The three actors will contest the prize with 'Birdman' star Michael Keaton and 'American Sniper' hunk Bradley Cooper.
The quintet will find out who is taking home the prize when the Academy Awards take place on February 22.

Jennifer Aniston and Lego Movie among Oscar nod snubs

Jennifer Aniston, Timothy Spall and 'The Lego Movie' were among the surprise snubs from the Academy Award nominations.
The animated film's title began trending on Twitter just minutes after the Oscar nods were announced earlier this afternoon (15.01.15) after it emerged the motion picture - which featured the voices of Liam Neeson, Will Ferrell and Chris Pratt - had missed out on a nomination in the Animated Feature Film category.
The movie's director Phil Lord took the snub in good grace by jokingly taking to Twitter to post a picture of an Oscar made of Lego, but some of the movie's fans were clearly not in any mood to joke around and took to social media sites to vent their frustration at the film being rejected.
poniewozik wrote: "In honor of THE LEGO MOVIE, am going to buy HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 on Blu-Ray and destroy it with a hammer. (sic)"
AutumnSkye13 tweeted: "The Oscars snubbing The Lego Movie is why I have trust issues. Out of touch elitists.(sic)"
cmaka wrote: "I generally don't care about the Oscars, but how did The LEGO Movie not get nominated for Best Animated Movie? (sic)"
THATkrazGUY said: "The LEGO Movie not being nominated is easily the worst thing so far in 2015. (sic)"
Ahead of the nominations being announced 'The Lego Movie' was a huge 1/4 favourite to triumph in the Animated Feature Film category, which saw nods for 'Big Hero 6', 'Boxtrolls', 'How To Train Your Dragon 2', 'Song of the Sea' and 'Tale of Princess Kaguya' instead.
But real-life actors and actresses also missed out on Oscars nods including Jennifer in the Best Actress category for her role in drama movie 'Cake', in which she plays a woman who becomes addicted to painkillers and becomes obsessed with the suicide of a female in her chronic pain support group.
Jennifer - who lost out to Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones, Julianne Moore, Rosamund Pike and Reese Witherspoon - had said she wasn't going to wake up especially to hear the nominations for fear of disappointment.
She told E!: "I'm not going to torture myself. My phone rang yesterday at five o'clock in the morning and I was like, 'What's happening? Who's dead or b, is today Thursday?'
"I'll be in bed. I'll be in bed with my beloved and my dogs dreaming wild little dreams."
Several big names also missed out on Best Actor nominations including Ralph Fiennes, despite him picking up a BAFTA nomination just last week for his portrayal of concierge Monsieur Gustave H in 'The Grand Budapest Hotel', which received the joint most Oscar nods with 'Birdman', both picking up nine.
Timothy Spall was also snubbed for his titular role as an eccentric painter in 'Mr. Turner', which is up for four awards, while David Oyelowo was snubbed for a Best Actor nod for his portrayal of Martin Luther King Jr. in 'Selma'.
The pair both lost out to Steve Carell, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Keaton, Eddie Redmayne and Bradley Cooper, who has become the latest actor since Russell Crowe in 2000-2002 to be Oscar-nominated three years in a row.
But David wasn't the only member of the 'Selma' team to miss out on a nod as director Ava DuVernay wasn't nominated ether, with Richard Linklater, Alejandro Gonzalez Innirutu, Wes Anderson, Morten Tyldum and Bennett Miller all preferred in the Directing category.
There was also further disappointment for Clint Eastwood ('American Sniper') and 'Gone Girl' helmer David Fincher in the director section.
Foxcatcher's Steve Carell will have been delighted with his nomination in the Best Actor category, but the film failed to win a nod for Best Picture.
'Into the Woods' also missed out in the same category but Meryl Streep's portrayal of The Witch in the fantasy film ensured she extended her record as the most Oscar-nominated actress ever with a career total of 19 nods.

Dick Pope called Dick Poop in Oscars announcement

Dick Pope's name was accidentally pronounced "Dick Poop" during this afternoon's (15.01.15) Oscar nominations announcement.
Cheryl Boone Isaacs, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), made the unfortunate error about the 'Mr. Turner' cinematographer as she was reading out the nods for the Best Achievement in Cinematography category during a live broadcast in Beverly Hills, California.
She could be seen slightly chuckling after making the embarrassing mistake but continued reading out the names of the other nominees in the section alongside actor Chris Pine.
Following Cheryl's gaffe, the Twittersphere was sent into a frenzy with several people picking up on the blunder and comparing it to John Travolta's faux pas last year when he mispronounced Idina Menzel's name, calling her Adele Dazeem, while introducing her at the Academy Awards.
Aliarikan wrote: "Adele Dazeem: Out, Dick Poop: In. (sic)"
braedenpaul95 tweeted: "Thank god I watched the Oscar nominees. I got to witness one of the funniest errors on television #DickPoop #OscarNoms #stilllaughing (sic)"
Some stars even got in on the act with actress Brooklyn Decker joking: "I'm just happy The Academy is finally giving Dickpoop the recognition it deserves. (sic)"
Dick Poop also started trending on Twitter shortly after the awards were announced.
jar155 tweeted: "Well, we've all lived to the day when Dick Poop was trending on Twitter. I guess that about wraps it up for our life goals. (sic)"
Brazzers wrote: "Dick Poop is trending. We can close the internet now, good job everyone. (sic)"
Dick was recognised for his cinematographer work in 'Mr Turner', which received four nods but leading star Timothy Spall was snubbed for his titular role as the eccentric painter.
