Julianne Moore could "barely breathe" she was so excited about her Oscar nomination.
The 54-year-old actress was announced among the contenders for the Best Actress prize for her role in ‘Still Alice’ earlier today (15.01.15) and she is so happy to have got the nod, she made herself "dizzy".
She tweeted: "thank u everyone for the congratulations! i am so happy i can barely breathe #makingmyselfdizzy #AcademyAwards (sic)"
Julianne – who will contend for the honour alongside Reese Witherspoon, Felicity Jones, Rosamund Pike and Marion Cotillard – picked up the same accolade at the Golden Globe Awards at the weekend and revealed afterwards she was unhappy with the way she accepted the prize.
She said: "Now I wish I had taken a deep breath and managed to get [co-stars] Kristen [Stewart]’s name out, for one thing, and Alec [Baldwin]’s. Slowing down, I think, is the message.
"[And] I didn’t stand up straight. As I walked up to the stage, I was all hunched over."
However, the actress insisted her errors wouldn’t spur her to practice accepting awards in the future.
She said: "I also feel like it’s bad juju. I’m oddly superstitious, too. You know, you feel if you’re too prepared, you’re asking for it."
