Chris Martin has been told by his daughter Apple not to worry if Coldplay's Super Bowl 50 performance goes wrong - because it'll only be remembered as an Internet meme.
The band - Chris, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland and Will Champion - will provide the half-time entertainment for the NFL championship final between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos on February 7.
Chris and his bandmates do have a few nerves about playing to such a massive audience at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and to approximately 115 million viewers watching on TV, but 11-year-old Apple - his child with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow - has reassured him if the worst happens it'll just become a joke that goes round the web for a week or so.
Speaking to 'CBS Sunday Morning', the singer said: "My daughter said the sweetest thing (to me). She said, 'How are you feeling about the Super Bowl?' I said, 'Of course we're a little bit nervous.' She said, 'Dad, the worst that could happen is that you'll get turned into a meme.'
"The fact we make it onto our kids' playlists still, is good. They're not impressed with anything."
Chris, 38, also let slip the show will be a greatest hits set condensed into 12 minutes, which he joked he thinks they just have enough material to fill, and confirmed that Beyoncé and Bruno Mars are to be their special guests.
He shared: "I love the whole concept of trying to present your entire musical life in 12 and a half minutes. We've possibly got 11 good minutes. So we have some special guests and they'll cover the rest."
Revealing who the guest stars are, he said: "There's a spot on the stage which may be Beyoncé's footprint ... And we could look for a Bruno Mars one."

Kanye West is considering changing the name of his upcoming album again.
The 38-year-old rapper is getting ready to release his eagerly anticipated new record later this month but according to his wife, Kim Kardashian West, he is still unsure about the title.
After Kanye changed the name of the album from 'Swish' to 'Waves', Kim took to Twitter to ask fans for their opinion on the title and added another option.
Tagging Kanye in a post, she wrote: "Which album title do you like best? Swish, Waves or So Help Me God?"
If Kanye does decide to change the name of the record, it won't be the first time as he recently decided to ditch the original title 'Swish' in favour of 'Waves'.
Sharing the news with his 17.6 million followers in a series of tweets, he wrote: "New album title, WAVES ... #Waves the album formally known as Swish ... I got this record n*****s can't even play before 2 am. (sic)"
Whatever the album is called, Kanye has already declared it "the best album of all time".
Taking to the micro blogging site, he wrote: "This is not album of the year. This is album of the life ...
"So happy to be finished with the best album of all time (sic)"
Meanwhile, his sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian previously revealed he was finding it difficult to narrow down the track list as there were so many "genuinely terrific songs".
She said: "He has so many songs that we - I act like I'm recording them - that he can't figure out what he wants to put on his album. And they're all genuinely terrific songs."
"He is so passionate. He's like, every bit the meaning of an artist."
The album is expected to be released on February 11.

Fun Lovin' Criminals recorded their 1996 debut album 'Come Find Yourself' in less than a week.
The 'Scooby Snacks' hitmakers are set to release a three disk expanded edition and deluxe boxset edition of the classic LP to mark its 20th anniversary and have revealed the tracks came together very quickly.
Bassist Brian Leiser - better known as Fast - revealed: "We did most of the record in five days because we'd been writing it our whole lives."
The most difficult aspect of making the album for the New York trio - which also includes drummer Frank Benbini and frontman Huey Morgan - was getting the samples used in many of the songs cleared, but luckily producer Tim Latham showed them how to re-record the music so they wouldn't have to worry about copyright.
Speaking in a video interview, Brian added: "Obviously the big issue in the recording was re-playing a lot of the samples because we couldn't clear five samples of songs. When we realised what we could and what we couldn't clear in the studio, Tim Latham, who is a master of sound, helped us recreate these sounds and change them so we wouldn't have to clear them. And we ended up clearly most of the record with him."
'Come Find Yourself' will be reissued on February 19.
The band are heading out on a world tour this month kicking off in Leeds on February 4.

Chris Stapleton and Eric Church lead the nominations at the 51st annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
Both artists received five nods each, with Cam, Chris Young and Little Big Town following closely behind with the trio in contention for four accolades each.
Both Stapleton and Church will battle it out in the Male Vocalist of the Year category and for Album of the Year, with their LPs 'Traveller' and 'Mr. Misunderstood' in the running respectively.
Miranda Lambert is up for three prizes; Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for 'Smokin' and Drinkin'' which features Little Big Town.
Keith Urban - Nicole Kidman's husband - is up for Vocal Event Of The Year for his performance of 'Raise 'Em Up' with Eric Church.
Kacey Musgraves could take home the prize for Video of the Year for the promo for 'Biscuits', while she will compete against Miranda for the Female Vocalist of the Year accolade.
The 2016 ACM Awards return to Las Vegas on Sunday April 3, and will be broadcast on CBS with comedy duo Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley hosting the ceremony.

Jeff Lynne's ELO will perform at Glastonbury this year.
Following in the footsteps of music icons such as Dolly Parton, Tony Bennett and Lionel Richie, the 'Mr. Blue Sky' singer has been confirmed to be playing the legend's Sunday afternoon slot at the world famous music festival in Somerset, South West England.
Announcing the news on his BBC Radio 2 Show, Chris Evans revealed: "There's nostalgia, there's a bit of retro in there, there's solid gold. Who is worthy of that slot today?
"Well, it's more of a case of is that slot worthy of this artist this year ... playing the Sunday afternoon slot on the Pyramid Stage this year will be the one and only Jeff Lynne and his ELO."
Chris also confirmed that most of the line-up for this year's festival - which sold out in just 30 minutes - has already been booked.
He added: "Emily Eavis, who runs Glastonbury now for her dad, has stated they've booked over 80 per cent of the 2016 line-up. And those rumours have been Muse, Foo Fighters and Coldplay headlining on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday."
Jeff Lynne's ELO briefly appeared on BBC's Children In Need Rocks in 2013, before being convinced by Chris Evans to perform in full at Radio 2's Live in Hyde Park in 2014.
No other acts have been confirmed for this year's Glastonbury, which will take place between June 22 and June 26.

Status Quo have announced their last ever electric tour.
The 'Whatever You Want' hitmakers - consisting of Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Andy Bown, John 'Rhino' Edwards and Leon Cave - are to head out on their 'Last Night Of The Electrics' European tour in October and afterwards they will be hanging up their electric guitars for good.
Frontman Rossi, 66, is adamant this will definitely be the band's last ever electric concerts as they are finding it more and more difficult to tour a full blown rock show.
In a statement posted on their official website on Monday (01.02.16), he said: "We've talked about it for some time and have decided that it's time for us to hang up the electrics. It's getting harder and harder for us to play those shows. It's 30 years since we last said we were stopping but this is a final decision. It doesn't mean we won't do other things, perhaps the odd special, but we're agreed that the moment has come. There's more to come from us in the years ahead, but we won't tour the electric set ever again".
Parfitt, 67, admits performing live "hurts physically" now and although he is sad that Status Quo's rock shows are coming to an end he accepts they cannot continue.
He added: "We always thought we'd see a red light when it was time to stop. The show hurts now, physically. It's hard to maintain that level of energy and without that it's not really a Quo show. So we don't feel we should continue. This is definitely the end of our lives on the road with the electric set, life won't be the same for us - or many of the fans - but we can't go on at this pace any more."
In 2014, Status Quo released 'Aquostic (Stripped Bare)' - their first ever fully acoustic album - and played a stripped down set at The Roundhouse venue in London to launch the LP.

Andre 3000 invited a random Uber Pool passenger to a recording session at Kanye West's studio.
According to TMZ, the 'Hey Ya' hitmaker ordered the Uber ride on Friday (29.01.16) to pick up multiple people by mistake, but he got on so well with the girl that he invited her into the 'All Day' rapper's Los Angeles studio.
Kanye was busy making music with fellow rap artists French Montana, P. Diddy, Kid Cudi and 2 Chainz, when Andre arrived with his fellow passenger.
2 Chainz posted a picture of the group of musicians on Instagram.
Kanye is currently putting the finishing touches to his eagerly-anticipated studio album 'Waves', which he recently said will have a "gospel" vibe.
'Waves' - originally titled 'Swish' - will be released on February 11.
The 38-year-old star is expected to debut his record in its entirety for the first time at New York's Madison Square Garden on its release date.
However, he won't be performing, it will simply be a listening session.
A poster for the event promises a "world premiere of the album in its entirety."
However, a source said: "He's not performing. It's not a concert. He'll premiere his new album, so it's sort of like an album preview party and fashion preview.
"It's a very large production and the first time fans will be able to hear the full album."

Craig David has recorded a track with WSTRN.
The 7 Days' hitmaker has made an "old-school garage" track with the British R&B trio.
Haile of the group told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We were in the studio a few weeks back and worked on a track together. It's got an old-school garage sound. Craig's a legend and we grew up listening to him."
The 34-year-old singer could be preparing himself for working with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, who reportedly wants to get together with Craig to work on songs for her next solo record, which she wants to have a "more urban".
The 'Born To Do It' hitmaker spoke with the former Girls Aloud singer backstage at 'The X Factor' live final last year about aligning their busy schedules to spend time in the studio together.
A source previously shared: "Cheryl and Craig are fans of each other's work. Cheryl listened to Craig as a teenager and also likes his new material. He's keen to help write a track as the timing is perfect for both of them musically - she wants to go for a more urban sound."
Meanwhile, Craig is gearing up to release his highly-anticipated new album 'Following My Intuition'.

Coldplay are to perform at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend event.
The 'Adventure of a Lifetime' hitmakers will play in frontman Chris Martin's English hometown of Exeter, in Devon, at the annual music extravaganza held on May 28 and 29.
Coldplay are joined on the bill by and Chase & Status, who have been confirmed for the event.
Speaking about playing Big Weekend, Chris said: "I lived the first few years of my life less than 500 yards from where we'll be performing so this couldn't be more of a homecoming for me.
"Guy, Will, Jonny and I are honoured to be on the bill and we're looking forward to a very special show."
Joining them are pop sensation Ellie Goulding and rock band Bring Me The Horizon, who've enjoyed huge success since releasing their 2015 LP 'That's The Spirit', which reached number two in the official UK album chart. It will be the rock group's debut BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend performance.
And DJ Nick Grimshaw also announced on his breakfast show that electronic pop duo Chase & Status and Craig David are part of the bill.
Many more acts are expected to be announced in coming weeks.
Ticket details for the event held at Exeter's Powderham Castle will be revealed on 21 March.
