Artists changing release dates to avoid Adele

Major artists are changing their release dates to avoid clashing with Adele's new album.
A slew of acts including Ellie Goulding, Little Mix, One Direction and Justin Bieber are set to put out albums next month but they've moved their release dates forward so they aren't engaged in a chart battle with the superstar, whose third studio album is scheduled to be released on November 20.
A music industry insider said: "Adele's album is coming and it's likely to be an epic release.
"The major labels have realised it's essential they get out any big releases before then because from November 20, it's very likely to be about one woman only. She will dominate pre-Christmas sales.
"That's why Justin Bieber, Kylie Minogue and 1D are going head-to-head the week before - usually the record companies would want a No1 album with artists that big but in this case they simply want to get the album out there before Adele."
The album - tentatively titled '25' - will be the 'Rolling In The Deep' hitmaker's first album since 2011's '21', which went on to shift 30 million copies, meaning she's a real threat to other acts hoping to find chart success at the same time.
And her release means some artists have had their albums delayed until next year because record labels believe they would be easily overshadowed.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "It's still possible there might be a surprise release from Coldplay or Beyonce who would be confident to put music out at any time of the year.
"But Emeli Sandé and Michael Buble, who share the same market as Adele, are both delayed into next year for certain."

Britney Spears back in the studio

Britney Spears is back in the studio.
The 'Toxic' hitmaker has teased she is hard at work on her new record by posting photos from the studio on her Instagram with 29-year-old producer BURNS, who has previously worked with Pitbull and Calvin Harris.
Alongside one of the snaps, she wrote: "Making magic in the studio with @thisisburns4real yesterday! (sic)"
In another photo she posed with producer Mischke who has produced tracks for Gwen Stefani, Little Mix and Jennifer Lopez.
The 33-year-old star previously released her single 'Pretty Girls' from her ninth studio album and has been working on the collection in between her Las Vegas residency stints.
She's also been working with producers including DJ Mustard and Diplo on the record which she previously hinted is going to be an eclectic collection.
She said: "I have ballads and, of course, dance music -- fun cheeky sexy stuff."
However she is not expected to tour the collection as she recently signed on for another two years of her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, which she announced during one of her shows last month.
In a video of the announcement posted on Instagram, she said: "Okay I have some big news tonight. Usually I get you guys to help me count to three, but tonight I want you to help me count to two because I'm going to be in Vegas for two more years!"

Little Mix and 5SOS for Radio 1’s Teen Awards

Little Mix and 5 Seconds of Summer will perform at Radio 1's Teen Awards.
The 'Black Magic' hitmakers have admitted they "can't wait" to play at the event on November 8 at Wembley Arena in London, where the four-piece pop rock band will also perform.
Little Mix said: "We literally can't wait, it's been three years since we last performed at the Teen Awards.
"It was the first time we performed 'DNA' and we loved it but we were so nervous, we were terrified."
Other acts confirmed for the annual event, which honors the UK's unsung teenage heroes, include Nick Jonas and All Time Low.
And Australian rockers 5SOS - who have also announced a UK and Ireland tour for April 2016 - said they are particularly excited about the event because it is for such a good cause.
They said: "A big thanks to Radio 1 for inviting us to be a part of this year's Teen Awards.
"We really appreciate their support and we're proud to be involved in an event that celebrates inspirational teens. Gonna be a big night."
The event will be hosted by Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw, with a selection of special co-hosts helping him out during the event, which will be broadcast live on Radio 1.

The Vaccines had fights over album track listing

The Vaccines' Justin Young has admitted the band had "fights" over the track listing of their album 'English Graffiti.'
The 28-year-old frontman penned over 150 songs for the rockers' new track collection but whittling it down to just 10 resulted in one band member getting a broken nose.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I would write every day and I think I probably had about 150 songs. In the past, it's always been so easy to know what a Vaccines song is, but this time it took us a while. We had fights about the track listing because we had to work out what we wanted the record to sound like. I won't say whom, but someone in the band got his nose broken over it at 5am!"
He added: "It took a few months but then everything became so clear and we just chose the ten or 11 best."
The English musician, who previously revealed he suffers from clinical hypochondria, believes the band - also consisting of Freddie Cowan, Árni Árnason and Pete Robertson - has contributed to his mental health issues.
He explained: "It's hard and all tied into addiction and OCD, so it's constant and hard to escape. It causes me to have all these sensations and pains.
"But at the root of it is sensitivity and self-obsession and without those, you wouldn't be talking to me now."

Rudimental ‘scared’ of Disclosure collaboration

Rudimental are "scared" of making music with Disclosure.
The drum and bass quartet - comprised of Kesi Dryden, Amir Amor, Piers Agget and DJ Locksmith - have revealed they're eager to collaborate with the duo having been friends for such a long time but admitted mixing business with pals could prove fatal for their friendship.
Asked if they're planning to work with the pair, Piers exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Why not? We're good friends with them so yeah."
But DJ Locksmith added: "I'm kind of scared about going into the studio together with them because I feel like it might break our friendship."
The group - who released their second studio album 'We The Generation' last week - have previously worked with them by developing Wild Life festival in Brighton, south England, so revealed it's only a matter of time before they collaborate with their music too.
Amir explained: "We did our own festival, Wild Life, and it's something we've been talking about with Disclosure for a long time, and we haven't even got into the studio together yet but we ended up doing a festival together. So that was really exciting and we're hoping to carry that on forever."
Piers added: "With us and them, we kind of came up together and we're of the same producer/artist ilk so I think it would be fun."

FKA twigs never went to concerts

FKA twigs never went to concerts as a youngster.
The 27-year-old star - who is dating 'Twilight' actor Robert Pattinson - insisted she's never had much of an interest in celebrities so focused on her own talents instead of going and seeing musicians when she was younger.
Asked if she ever hung outside shows to meet famous people as a teenager, she said: "I never did that! I never went to any shows. I went to ballet class, or opera lessons. I was a bit too focused when I was a kid.
"I've never had that, 'Oh my god, I've gotta wait backstage!'"
The 'Two Weeks' singer revealed she still has no interest in fame and has only ever felt starstruck when she met Prince, with whom she played table tennis.
She explained: "I met Prince when he did a little show at Paisley Park in Minneapolis, where I supported him. I was a little bit like, 'Wow. I met Prince.' Because he is, obviously, so epic. But even then, he just gave me some black currant juice and we played table tennis."
And she confessed her feelings about superstars mean she has no desire to become part of Taylor Swift's exclusive "squad".
She told Paper magazine: "I think Taylor Swift is great, but I wouldn't necessarily think, 'Oh my god, I have to be friends with her.' When I meet fans, they're quite creative and intelligent, kind, sensitive. Some are old ladies, witch doctors from Louisiana, kids that have just left art school. Gay or lesbian couples, straight middle-aged couples."

Madonna wants stand-up comedy in future tours

Madonna wants to do stand-up comedy on her future tours.
The 'Music' hitmaker is currently on her 'Rebel Heart' world arena tour but has hinted it might be one of her final major tours as she likes the idea of putting on alternative shows as she gets older.
Asked if she thinks she'll still be touring in a decade, she said: "I don't even think that far in advance, but if I did travel around and perform and connect to audiences, I'm sure it would look and feel different than, say, the extravagant sort of musicals that I put on right now."
The 57-year-old star - who released her 13th studio album 'Rebel Heart' in March - explained she likes the thought of putting on more intimate concerts instead, in which she can incorporate her skill for making people laugh.
She told Rolling Stone magazine: "I quite like the idea of just sitting on a stool with a bottle of wine, a guitar and working my stand-up comedy into the whole scenario. I like talking to audiences, telling stories. I think I could make an interesting show, to tell you the truth. I quite like the idea of doing something simple."

Rihanna reveals album title

Rihanna's new album will be called 'Anti'.
The 27-year-old star revealed the name of her eagerly-anticipated eighth studio album at an event in Los Angeles' Mama Gallery on Wednesday (07.10.15) where she also unveiled the cover art for the record.
Speaking to the exclusive crowd invited to the event, she admitted: "This is my favourite album cover I've ever done."
The artwork - designed by Israeli-born New York-based artist Roy Nachum - features an image of Rihanna as a child holding a balloon and wearing a crown which obscures her eyes.
Over the top of the red, white and black image is a poem written by Chloe Mitchell in Braille, which the star explained is part of the album's statement about vision.
She said: "Sometimes the ones who have sight are the blindest."
The long overdue album does not yet have a release date although she has already released singles 'FourFiveSeconds', 'Bitch Better Have My Money' and 'American Oxygen' from the collection.
Last month, Rihanna revealed fans may still have a long wait for the album - which was tentatively named '#R8' by her fans - as she is still working on it.
She said: "It's not done!
"To me it's never done until it's done. Until the final moment.
"I have so many songs I love - and they're so different - that it's hard to actually put them all on the same album."
