Bernard Sumner: Peter Hook is an angry man

New Order's Bernard Sumner says ex-bassist Peter Hook has "left a bad taste" in his mouth due to the way he left the band.
The 'Bizarre Love Triangle' hitmakers are set to release their first new studio album in 10 years when 'Music Complete' on Friday (25.09.15) and their first without Hook, who left the band acrimoniously in 2007.
Sumner think's it must be "boring" for their fans constantly hearing Hook's hateful comments towards the band, but he feels bad for him that he can't move on.
The frontman explained: "It's a real shame. My heart bleeds for him. He left the band, and then he complained about leaving the band. But I wish him good luck and that he gets on with what he's chosen to do instead of calling me all sorts of names. He's so angry. If you choose to take a path in life, don't blame other people for the path you've chosen to take ... It must be getting a bit boring for people. He did leave a bad taste in my mouth."
Despite their fallout, Sumner still respects Hook and the great albums they made together in New Order and before in Joy Division - the band that became New Order following the death of frontman Ian Curtis.
The singer - who is still joined in the band by drummer Stephen Morris - told Rolling Stone magazine: "I think we made some great records with Peter. I would never diss what he's done as a musician. But we couldn't get on together, so he's gone off to do his thing and it's his choice."
Morris agrees with Sumner and admits he hates it when band members criticise each other in public.
He added: "I really don't like it when members of bands sl*g each other off in the press. If you've got a problem, you should sort it out without going public. It's not very pretty, is it?"

James Morrison, 5 Seconds of Summer and Laura Mvula are among stars performing at 'One Big Night for BBC Children in Need'.
The evening will be hosted by Sir Tom Jones who said he is pleased to have the artists on the show as they will each bring something individual to the evening of live music and comedy.

All of them will bring something very different to the show, so I know people attending on the night will be in for a very special treat."
While the 'She Looks So Perfect' rockers are "really excited" to be coming to London specially from Australia.
They commented: "We are really excited to be coming to London to perform at 'One Big Night for BBC Children in Need,' it is going to be a great show, and all for a great cause. We look forward to seeing you all there!"
And 'Broken Strings' hitmaker James is "thrilled" to be supporting the show in aid of disadvantaged children.
He said of joining the line-up: "BBC Children in Need is a fantastic cause and I am thrilled to be taking part in what is set to be a great evening amongst some amazing acts. Sir Tom and Rob are pulling together something really special, so I look forward to seeing you all there."
The concert will be aired on BBC One on November 13.

Olly Alexander in love

Olly Alexander is in love.
The Years & Years frontman couldn't help but gush about his budding romance with Clean Bandit's Neil Amin-Smith, admitting the response to the news of their relationship has been incredibly "heartwarming".
He said: "I found someone that I love and that's a new thing and that has its own world. And then it exists in this world where we're both conscious about being open about it.
"The response has been incredibly touching and heartwarming and overwhelming, but I feel like if you invest too much of yourself in the construction of yourself as a gay couple in the media you end up f*****g up the real thing, so I try not to think too much about it."
And the 'King' hitmaker is thrilled to be a gay role model for younger fans.
Speaking to the tenth anniversary of GQ Style magazine, he added: "When I meet gay kids and they know who we are, I remember that's amazing because literally every gay person in every gay story I knew growing up was doomed to die. There weren't any positive gay stories and it's incredible that has changed."

Jennifer Lopez working hard on Las Vegas residency

Jennifer Lopez has "a lot of work to do" on her Las Vegas residency.
The 'On The Floor' hitmaker is set to bring her show to the Axis theatre stage in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in January but admits she is still "conceptually moulding" her performance to make sure it will be perfect.
She shared: "We have a lot of work to do. It is conceptually moulding the show and figuring out what that is going to be.
"Putting all the pieces together and seeing what we are going to do new, and what we are going to keep from other shows I've done and capturing the energy I bring to the stage."
The 46-year-old beauty is also preparing to shoot a music video for her duet with Jason Derulo and teased the possibility of shirtlessness - but insists it won't be from her.
She told Extra: "He will be shirtless, I'm sure. I'm not sure what I'm going to be, but I won't be shirtless, that's for sure."
Meanwhile, Jennifer cannot wait to launch the "glamourous and beautiful" show, something she has been preparing for her entire life.
She said: "It is going to be glamorous and beautiful and the costumes and all of it. The production is something that I haven't gotten to do yet. So it's going to be me in my element doing what I do at the highest level and it's exciting.
"I'm excited about it. You know, I feel like I've been preparing for this my whole life."

Zayn Malik makes music with ‘X Factor’ pal

Zayn Malik is making music with 'The X Factor' singer Aiden Grimshaw.
The 22-year-old former One Direction heartthrob and the talent show hopeful, 23, met on the 2010 series and now Zayn has turned to his old pal for inspiration and the pair will hit the studio together soon.
A source said: "They used to be close mates but hadn't spoken for years. When Zayn signed his solo deal with RCA they started messaging each other and decided to get into a studio."
Despite being offered a helping hand on his solo material by 'Body on Me' crooner Chris Brown and rapper 50 Cent, Zayn - who's been spending time in Los Angeles since quitting 1D - has chosen a lesser known face and but a firm friend for his new songs.
Aiden's representative told The Sun newspaper: "We can confirm Aiden and Zayn have been in touch with a view to doing some writing or working on a track."
And whilst Zayn was putting time in the studio with British producer Naughty Boy - who has just released new single 'Runnin' (Lose It All)' with Beyoncé - the pair fell out after the singer's old band mate Louis Tomlinson and Naughty Boy got in a Twitter spat.

Ariana Grande’s new album ‘most personal yet’

Ariana Grande's new album will be her "most personal yet" but won't feature songs about her ex-boyfriend Big Sean.
The 22-year-old singer split from the rapper, 27, in April after eight months of dating but has admitted her forthcoming collection 'Moonlight' won't include breakup anthems because she has moved on from the heartache.
Speaking to V magazine, she said: "You know, people found out quite [about the split] a while after it actually happened. By the time I was writing the new album, I had kind of moved on. It's not going to be captured on the album too much. I'm in a happy place. There aren't any breakup anthems because I had moved on. I was like, alright. Well, f**k it."
Since the split, the brunette beauty - who is releasing her upcoming single 'Focus' later this month - says she's felt "more empowered, grown-up, and independent."
She added: "I think that's part of the reason I didn't want to make a p****d-off break-up song. I was not focused on that.
"Everything is nice and great right now...why would I write about some bulls**t? I'd rather write about some really lovely things that are going on."

One Direction’s career crisis?

One Direction's extended hiatus looks set to lose them their title as the most popular pop band in the world.
The 'Little Things' hitmaker's decision to go their separate ways appears to have forced fans to seek music solace elsewhere as new statistics have revealed people aged between 18 to 24 would rather support Fleetwood Mac.
According to StubHub, which surveyed 2,000 Brits, 33 per cent claimed they were fans of the British-American rock band, whereas just 10 per cent liked One Direction.
Nick Harford, Interim General Manager at StubHub International said: "It's great to see that as well as producing some of the biggest musicians in the world, the UK also has some of the most passionate and loyal music fans.
"It's also interesting to see that long-time rockers Fleetwood Mac are still topping the fandom bill, over the more recent chart toppers One Direction."
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran is proving a big hit with the ladies as 38 per cent of UK women would prefer to see the 24-year-old singer in concert and sing along to his tracks.
Taylor Swift has walked away with the most popular female act title after being voted as the favourite by 20 per cent of British men, while Rihanna followed closely behind with 16 per cent. Beyonce, however, slumped into third place with just 12 per cent.

Stereophonics wouldn’t do Smiths cover because they eat too much meat

The Stereophonics' Kelly Jones has admitted they would never do a Smith's cover because they "eat too much meat."
The 41-year-old frontman has ruled out doing a rendition of one of the vegetarian rock band's songs because they quite often tuck into animal flesh while performing on stage and he thinks former lead singer Morrissey, who has compared eating meat to paedophilia in the past, wouldn't "like it."
Asked whether the band would do a Smith's cover, Kelly told Chris Moyles on Radio X: "We eat too much meat. We got meat on stage, we can't do it, he won't like it."
Pushed on whether he thought performing a Smith's song with his band would be really "sacrilegious", Kelly revealed a time when he and his band mates - consisting of Richard Jones, Adam Zindani, Jamie Morrison and touring member Tony Kirkham - strapped meat to a vegetarian lighting engineer while he was sleeping in his bunk bed.
He explained: "We had a vegetarian lighting engineer once and we gaffer tapped him to his bunk with Parma ham and sausages and he couldn't get out."
Meanwhile, the Stereophonics' new album 'Keep The Village Alive' went straight into the number one hot spot in the UK charts following the release earlier this month.
