Keira Knightley and Benedict Cumberbatch are "beastly" to each other.
'The Imitation Game' actress has admitted she can give as good as she gets with her co-star Benedict Cumberbatch - who she first met whilst filming the 2007 movie 'Atonement', in which Benedict played the rapist Paul Marshall and Keira played Cecilia Tallis.
Talking about their working relationship to the Daily Mail newspaper, Keira said: "Actually, I think I'm quite beastly to him as well. We're sort of mutually beastly to each other. But Benedict's been a friend ever since [2007] and it's always nice to work with friends.
"You look at him in 'Atonement' and he's all horrible and a rapist and quite disgusting, and in 'Imitation Game' he's a tortured genius who's affable and misunderstood. He can just do anything really."
In 'The Imitation Game', Keira and Benedict play the cryptanalysts, Joan Clarke and Alan Turing, who are attempting to decipher the Nazis' enigma code during World War II, something which made the actress more aware of the issues women used to face.
She explained: "Even though she did get into the room with the boys, and do the job she was hired to do, she never got anywhere near the same pay as any of the guys.
"They had to lie and say she was a linguist to get her more money - even though she spoke no other languages."

Sir Michael Caine considers director Christopher Nolan to be his "lucky charm".
The 81-year-old actor and Nolan, 44, have worked together on six films - including 'Inception' and the 'Batman' franchise - and Caine lauded the achievements of his collaborator during 'A Night Out With... Sir Michael Caine' at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday (01.10.14).
Speaking at the event, Caine reflected on their new sci-fi movie 'Interstellar', saying : "By all accounts he's done it again, Christopher Nolan, three 'Batmans', 'Inception' and... another one. I think he's brilliant."
The 'Zulu' star - who appeared at the event in aid of the NSPCC, which helps disadvantaged children - continued: "Failure doesn't worry people cause you have to get up and dust yourself off. I've never worried about a movie that failed, I never had any money in them anyway.
"Me and Christopher have now done six movies. He always says I'm his lucky charm and I'm always saying he's my lucky charm. It's been an incredible ride."
'Interstellar', which centres on a team of space travelers who travel through a wormhole, features a star-studded cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain.
Asked what people can expect from 'Interstellar', Caine told BANG Showbiz: "Fans can expect something entirely different from what we've done before like Inception and Batman.
"Take my word for it, the film is going to be extraordinary. I haven't seen it yet, I'm seeing it this week but from what I hear it's fantastic. It's no surprise to me because I think Nolan is the best British director since David Lynne."

Ben Affleck is reportedly in talks to star in 'The Accountant'.
The 42-year-old actor is believed to be in negotiations with Warner Bros. about the long-developing thriller, which has been written by Bill DuBuque, reports Variety magazine.
The plot of 'The Accountant' follows the story of an average bookkeeper who in his spare time, becomes a lethal assassin.
After success directing 'Argo' - for which he picked up a Golden Globe for 'Best Director' amongst other awards - Ben signed up to direct period crime drama, 'Live By Night'.
However, it is expected to be delayed further due to Ben's roles in 'Gone Girl' and 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', with production now expected to begin in July 2015.
Meanwhile, Ben has revealed that his children are unimpressed with his upcoming starring role as Batman, because they prefer 'Frozen' to superhero films.
The actor - who has three children with wife Jennifer Garner - Violet, eight, Seraphina, five, and two-year-old son Samuel - are all obsessed with the 2013 Disney animated movie.
He said: ''Because of the fact I'm playing Batman now, people say, 'Are your kids into it?' The truth is, they're not. If I was doing the sequel to 'Frozen' I would be a hero.
"My two older daughters couldn't give a s**t about Batman and they've now passed that affection onto my son. He's always like, 'Papa, can I watch Frozen?' And I'm like, 'No, dude, it's not on again!'"

Robert Downey Jr has suggested he will continue to play the role of Iron Man in the Marvel films.
The 49-year-old is contractually obliged to play the iconic character in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' - which he's already completed filming - as well as another 'Avengers' flick.
And Downey Jr hinted he will continue to play the role thereafter, telling The Hollywood Reporter: "I'm sure we'll ride that thing. You've got to surf that all the way in to shore."
He added: "I think I was at the forefront of something that was coming into being, and I think it has carried me as much as I have informed it.
"That's the healthy way to look at it. It's so easy to become inflated by the successes, but what they really are are long, strong trends. It's just another wave."
Downey Jr assumed the role of Tony Stark - who is more commonly known as Iron Man - for the first time in 2008.
He has since appeared in two additional 'Iron Man' movies, grossing more than $2 billion worldwide.
However, in an interview conducted with Variety last month, Downey Jr was asked whether there are plans to make a fourth 'Iron Man' movie and he said: "There isn't one in the pipe. No, there's no plan for a fourth Iron Man."

When asked how he thought Affleck would do in the superhero role, Caine said: "I think he's going to do very well because it's a different outlook and he's a very good actor, Ben Affleck is a wonderful actor."
Caine is so sure the 'Man of Steel' sequel will be great he's going to go to the cinema to watch it.
He added to BANG Showbiz: "I think it will be a really interesting film, I'll definitely go and watch it."
The movie icon is very proud of his work in his three Batman films because they introduced him to a whole new generation of fans.
He said: "There's a whole generation of kids who know who I am because of Batman. I've gone from Alfie to Alfred. I've got new fans."
Caine was speaking before he appeared at The Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday night (01.10.14) for 'A Night Out With... Sir Michael Caine', a retrospective of his career hosted by Jonathan Ross to raise money for the NSPCC charity.
During the Q&A, the movie legend revealed Nolan personally delivered the script for 'Batman Begins' to his house and wouldn't leave until he read his part as Alfred.
The actor recalled: "It's amazing when you're an actor, things happen. One Sunday morning there's a knock at the door, and there's a guy standing there who I've never met and I don't recognise and he's holding a script and he says, 'I've got a script for you.' So I said, 'OK, thank you very much.' He goes, 'Can I come in and talk to you.' I thought he was just delivering it, but I suddenly got a feeling this guy was quite important. So he comes in and introduces himself and he's got the script for the first Batman. 'I want you to play the butler,' he tells me. I said, 'So what do I say? Dinner is served? Would you like a beverage with that?' He says, 'No it's better than that Michael.'
"He's a very secretive director. So I said, 'OK leave it with me, and I'll get my driver to send it back to you tomorrow.' He said, 'No, I want you to read it now. I'll wait and you tell me if you like it.' And of course it was an incredible part, of Alfred the butler. He wasn't just a butler he was Batman's foster father. And so began a thing with Christopher."

William Shatner is "open to the idea" of appearing in 'Star Trek 3'.
The 83-year-old actor found international fame playing the role of Captain James Kirk in the TV series of the sci-fi franchise in the 1960s, and has recently been linked to a role in director JJ Abrams's next 'Star Trek' movie.
Asked whether he would like to reprise the iconic role, Shatner told the Metro newspaper: "It depends how it would be written and how they'd do it. But I'm open to the idea."
Shatner is a fan of the two 'Star Trek' films JJ Abrmas has directed, saying he's "enjoyed them very much".
Quizzed on what it's like seeing Chris Pine, 34, playing the role of Captain Kirk, he explained: "It was like seeing your mortality.
"Here comes a young, handsome and talented guy playing what I was playing years ago. It makes you realise time is passing - if I needed reminding, which I don't."
Shatner is set to appear at a 'Star Trek' convention at London's ExCel Centre this weekend, and he says it's something he's really looking forward to.
He remarked: "I've discovered I feel renewed from having the contact with the fans.
"Standing in front of a lot of people and making them laugh and informing them and doing essentially an hour-long ad-lib show and getting the approbation at the end of it is terrific."
'Star Trek 3' is set to be released in 2016.
