Owen Wilson says Ben Stiller behaves coldly towards him if he thinks he's coasting on set.
The two comic actors have worked together on numerous occasions and appear on screen with one another again in 'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb'.
However, Owen has joked Ben isn't always impressed with his laid back and gives him the silent treatment if he jokes around too much on set.
Speaking in a 4Music movie special, Owen said: "It's not so much tantrums that you get with Ben, it's just a real coldness - at least that I get sometimes. He is an extremely hard worker and sometimes he believes that I have a tendency to coast a little bit more than he does."
Despite their differences, Owen insists ultimately their different styles compliment each other really well.
Discussing their working relationship, he added: "We do have conflicting styles but somehow it all works out."
Owen, 46, and Ben, 49, previously starred together in 'Zoolander', 'Starsky & Hutch' and the other two 'Night at the Museum' films.
The pair are joined in 'NATM 3' by Rebel Wilson, Steve Coogan, Sir Ben Kingsley and the late great Robin Williams.
The 'Night at the Museum Special' airs on 4Music this Saturday (20.12.14) at 9.30am.

An untitled Steve Carell movie has been scrapped in response to the recent Sony hack.
Following a series of threats made by a group known as Guardians of Peace, it's been decided that the movie - which was set in North Korea - should not continue as planned.
Entertainment firm New Regency has opted to bin its latest project set in the Communist state over safety fears, according to Deadline.
The film was due to begin shooting in March, with Gore Verbinski having already been installed as director on the "paranoid thriller" movie.
The news comes shortly after it was confirmed that Seth Rogen and James Franco's new movie 'The Interview' will no longer be released this month.
Sony Pictures Entertainment cancelled the film's planned release in the US after several cinema chains refused to screen the movie, which concerns an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
In a statement, the studio said: "In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film 'The Interview,' we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release.
"We respect and understand our partners' decision and, of course, completely share their paramount interest in the safety of employees and theatre-goers."

Neil Gaiman wants Tom Hiddleston to play Morpheus in the Sandman movie.
The 'Sandman' author and producer of the much-anticipated film based on the comic books has revealed he would like to see the 33-year-old Brit play the iconic role.
He shared: "It's a funny thing with Morpheus.
"Again, it's that thing where you look around and think, 'Yes this person would be a fantastic person', and then time passes.
"There was a time Johnny Depp would've been a great Morpheus, but now he's too old and it's fine. I think the first time I saw Benedict was as Sherlock Holmes, I thought, 'wow, that's incredibly Morpheus'. And fans probably thought the same because they immediately started doing fan-art, meshing the two of them up.
"Then again, Tom Hiddleston is still out there! And the truth is, as far as I'm concerned, anybody who sounds English with great cheekbones can probably pull it off."
Although casting for the film appears to be a little way off, Gaiman is pleased to be involved with the project.
He told the Radio Times: "My position on it has always been, for over 25 years now, I would rather see no Sandman movie than a bad Sandman movie.
"A couple of times, people say, 'It's a crime there's never been a Sandman movie', and a couple of times, to be honest, I have thrown my body in front of a bus on a couple of bad ones over the years. I'm just happy that no bad Sandman movie has ever been made. But I'm really hoping that a good one will be."

Sacha Baron Cohen has turned down mega money offers to revive his hit characters Borat and Bruno.
The 43-year-old British actor - who is also famous for his character Ali G - has been offered as much as £16 million to return to the roles, but has opted against it because he feels they are too well known throughout the world.
Sacha, who is married to actress Isla Fisher, 38, feels that in order for the characters to return to their previous levels of success, the public would need to be oblivious to them, the Daily Star newspaper reports.
And given the success of both movies, he thinks it's impossible for this to be the case.
Between them, the films featuring the iconic comedy characters earned as much as £320 million at the box office.
Dan Mazer, co-writer of the blockbuster movies, has already ruled out the prospect of making any sequels, saying: "It just won't happen."
Next year, however, Sacha and his wife will both star in 'Grimsby', a comedy film about a British black-ops spy whose brother is a football hooligan.
The film will also feature Hollywood superstar Penelope Cruz.

Ben Stiller has a magical golden tablet in his house.
The 49-year-old actor was gifted the Tablet of Ahkmenrah when filming wrapped on 'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb', in which the fictional Egyptian artefact has the power to bring the exhibits to life.
Stiller was thrilled when director Shawn Levy presented him with the prop as a keepsake from his time playing night guard Larry Daley in the movie trilogy.
When asked if he has any mementos from the film series, he told BANG Showbiz: "I got the tablet; it was given to me by Shawn. I haven't gotten up at night yet to watch it to see if it works."
Stiller is not the only cast member to have a keepsake from the film as Rebel Wilson - who plays British night guard Tilly - still has her hat.
However, Dan Stevens is still waiting to receive the sword he wielded as Sir Lancelot in the comedy adventure - which is in cinemas now.
He said: "I want my sword, I want it but they haven't sent it to me yet."
Director Levy has promised Stevens he will get the prop, saying: "If we haven't sent you the sword, I'll make that happen."
'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb' - which also stars Owen Wilson, Sir Ben Kingsley, Ricky Gervais and the late Robin Williams - is out in cinemas on December 19.

Seth Rogen and James Franco's new movie 'The Interview' will no longer be released this month.
Sony Pictures Entertainment has cancelled the film's planned release in the US after several cinema chains refused to screen the movie, which is about an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, after being threatened by Guardians of Peace hackers.
In a statement, the studio said: "In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film 'The Interview,' we have decided not to move forward with the planned December 25 theatrical release. We respect and understand our partners' decision and, of course, completely share their paramount interest in the safety of employees and theatre-goers.
"Sony Pictures has been the victim of an unprecedented criminal assault against our employees, our customers, and our business. Those who attacked us stole our intellectual property, private emails, and sensitive and proprietary material, and sought to destroy our spirit and our morale - all apparently to thwart the release of a movie they did not like. We are deeply saddened at this brazen effort to suppress the distribution of a movie, and in the process do damage to our company, our employees, and the American public. We stand by our filmmakers and their right to free expression and are extremely disappointed by this outcome."
Meanwhile, American intelligence officials have concluded that the North Korean government was "centrally involved" in the recent cyber attacks against Sony, which saw the hackers release confidential information about several upcoming projects and leaked offensive emails between top producers.

Aaron Paul "dreamed" of working with Ridley Scott.
The 35-year-old actor - who had a chance to work with the legendary director, 77, in his latest film 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' - admitted that it was "everything" he was expecting.
He said: "It's really everything you would think it would be. It's such a huge dream of mine; he's just such a legendary director, a legendary man with a legendary story.
"I grew up reading the Bible, my father was a Southern Baptist Minister so I know the book of Exodus and so this is just such an incredible thing."
The 'Need for Speed' star also revealed the most "epic" scene for him was the parting of the Red Sea, even if it meant they had to wade through camel excrement.
When asked what his best day on set was, he told Collider.com: "When we were parting the Red Sea, it was a time I will never forget. It was just such an epic, crazy thing. It was in the Canary Islands; gorgeous.
"And the sea and how they were creating the current to move that it actually looked like the sea was being pulled out. They had 20 jet-skis lined up in a row just creating current, thousands of extras all looking very biblical.
He added: "[There were] lots of camels pooping everywhere because they were terrified but it was creating a giant toilet bowl that we were all walking through all day long for days and days. It was disgusting and I couldn't help but dry-heave."

Orlando Bloom is "in talks" to return to 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.
The 37-year-old actor - who played Will Turner in the first three instalments of the franchise - has admitted that he would consider returning for the fifth film, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'.
He told IGN UK: "I'm not entirely sure that [I'll be back] just yet, but there are talks.
"Basically they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son.
"I'm of course Davey Jones now, so I'm down the bottom of the ocean. It might be kind of fun to do something where I'm rumbling round the bottom of the ocean, because I won't look anything like me."
The only actor confirmed for the fifth 'Pirates of the Caribbean' film is Johnny Depp, who will be reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Geoffrey Rush is expected to return as Barbossa, whilst Javier Bardem is the hotly-tipped to play new villain Captain Brand, a ghost who blames Captain Jack Sparrow for the murder of his brother and is hell-bent on getting his revenge.
Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg will direct the new instalment and shooting will begin in Australia in early 2015.
The film is expected to be released in July 2017.
