Arnold Schwarzenegger bulks up

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been bulking up for 'Terminator Genisys'.
The 67-year-old actor is returning to play the cyborg assassin in the forthcoming fifth movie in the franchise and despite being in shape, he admits he wasn't as muscular as when he first played the role in 1984's 'The Terminator' so has been working hard to get back to his best and says his routine is the same now as it was then.
He said: "I wasn't as big as I used to be so I gained 10 pounds and trained for an extra hour a day with heavier weights.
"And I got back into the things I did in the old days, eating more protein, taking food supplements, drinking more protein drinks, that sort of thing."
The former Governor of California has been enjoying working on the film and admits it was easy to get back into character.
He told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I'm having a good time on this movie. It's a terrific story and it was not difficult at all to slip back into the character - it's in bred in me by now. I have been very fortunate to be doing these films through all stages of my career, from the body-building to movies to the political world and now back to the movie world
"I think few people do that and have the pleasure of being accepted in all worlds."

Julianne Moore: Beauty is perceptual

Julianne Moore wasn't "perceived as pretty" until she swapped her glasses for contact lenses.
The 'Still Alice' actress still doesn't understand why her classmates didn't think she was "terribly pretty" until she ditched her specs when she was 16 years old because she was still the same person on the inside.
She said: "That's the thing about beauty, it's perceptual, not about what you look like.
"I had glasses and no-one thought I was terribly attractive. Then suddenly, I wore contacts and everyone thought I was pretty. But I was the same person perceived as pretty."
The 54-year-old actress - who has children Cal, 17, and Liv, 12, with husband Bart Freundlich - has ruled out undergoing cosmetic surgery and can't understand why people think it will make them look younger.
She added: "I don't know why people have work done. It doesn't make them look younger, it just makes them look like they've had work done.
"You're never going to look like you did at 25. What are you going to do about it?"
Though Julianne has happily stripped in several of her movies, she admits she doesn't always feel good about herself.
Asked if she is comfortable in her own body, she told Psychologies magazine: "I wouldn't go so far as to say that. I don't think anybody is comfortable in their own skin.
"Sometimes you think, 'This is who I want to be' and you feel quite good about it, you feel attractive. But it's not possible to feel good about yourself at all times."

J.J. Abrams went ‘old school’ on Star Wars: The Force Awakens

J.J. Abrams went "old school" when making 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'.
The 48-year-old director claims that although he had top of the range software and effects available to him when making the highly-anticipated film, he admits there were times when he reverted to "old school" methods.
He shared: "I feel like the beauty of this age of filmmaking is that there are more tools at your disposal but it doesn't meant that any of these new tools are automatically the right tools. And there are a lot of situations where we went very much old school and in fact used CG more to remove things than to add things."
The 'Star Trek Into Darkness' filmmaker - who claims he's not yet seen a first cut of the movie as it's still being edited - insists that while there are obviously a lot of visual effects involved, he tried to limit them where he could.
Abrams added to Collider: "It was very important that we build as many sets as we could and that the film have a tangible, sort of authentic quality that you believed that these things were actually happening in a real space with real sunlight, if it was an exterior scene, or if we could build a big portion of a scene and not have anything be blue screen, do it where we could. It was a very important piece of work."

Sir Roger Moore offers to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond

Sir Roger Moore has offered to replace Daniel Craig in the new James Bond movie 'Spectre'.
Craig - who currently plays the iconic secret agent - recently sprained his knee while shooting a fight scene for the 'Skyfall' sequel at Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire and Sir Roger, 87, has offered to step into the breach.
He joked: "Sorry to hear Daniel Craig has sprained his knee on set #Spectre. Being 007 is not without its hazards. I'm available to step in if needed. (sic)"
Sir Roger starred as James Bond in the films between 1973 and 1985.
However, in a recent interview, Sir Roger said Sean Connery and Daniel Craig - as well as the much-maligned George Lazenby, who starred in 1969's 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' - were all superior to him in the role.
He reflected: "I believe [Daniel Craig is] an excellent Bond.
"He's much stronger than I am. I think he does a hell of a good job of it. He and Sean are, I think, undoubtedly the best Bonds."
Asked where he sits in the hierarchy of Bond actors, Sir Roger said: "I think a little bit behind George Lazenby, I suppose."

Amy Pascal steps down as co-chairman of Sony Pictures

Amy Pascal is stepping down as the co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The business executive, who has attracted lots of headlines in recent months following the hacking and publication by 'Guardians of Peace' of private emails, is also stepping down as chairman of Sony's motion picture group, but is to remain with the company.
In May, Pascal will take control of a new production firm, with Sony retaining the worldwide distribution rights to the company's output, Variety reports.
In a statement, Pascal explained: "I have spent almost my entire professional life at Sony Pictures, and I am energised to be starting this new chapter based at the company I call home. I have always wanted to be a producer."
In one of the leaked emails, Pascal was involved in an exchange with movie producer Scott Rudin in which he described Angelina Jolie as a "minimally talented spoiled brat".
Jolie apparently wanted director David Fincher to be detached from the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic and instead be put in charge of her Cleopatra movie.
Pascal apparently replied: "She is upset about us giving David Jobs. She wants to talk. She'll survive it. I don't want to waste my time on this."

BAFTA bosses want Tom Cruise to star at ceremony

BAFTA bosses are hoping to get Tom Cruise to appear at the ceremony on Sunday night (08.02.15).
The Hollywood superstar is currently in London, where he has been filming scenes for 'Mission Impossible 5', and bosses of the glitzy event are locked in last-minute negotiations to get Tom to appear as a surprise guest.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "There's a lot of excitement about Tom having a role at the BAFTAs.
"It's not a done deal yet but it looks very likely he's going to be one of the night's big surprises."
BAFTA bosses have already secured a stellar guest list for the much-anticipated event, which will be opened by British rockers Kasabian, while David Beckham has been booked to hand out an award.
What's more, Professor Stephen Hawking will be a guest of honour at the ceremony, where fellow Brit Eddie Redmayne is expected to win the best actor gong for his portrayal of the theoretical physicist in 'The Theory of Everything'.
Eddie, 33, has seen his profile skyrocket since the release of the film, but he recently insisted returning to work has kept him down to earth.
He said: "It's been the most exhilarating thing. It is in some ways the stuff dreams are made of.
"But you get back into the cold rehearsal room on the outskirts of London somewhere and its back to the gritty of filmmaking. It's certainly a crash to reality, but a wonderful one."

Daniel Craig injured filming Spectre

Daniel Craig has been injured while filming the new James Bond movie 'Spectre'.
The 46-year-old actor sprained his knee while shooting a fight scene for the 'Skyfall' sequel which is due to hit cinemas in November.
The accident - which happened at Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire - has sparked panic amongst movie bosses as the film was already on a tight shooting schedule.
A source said: "Bond bosses would have been panicking.
"Filming deadlines are so tight, any sort of delay can bring mayhem to the schedules."
The movie's extras were even told to go home for the day after the star injured himself on the set.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "The extras were simply told, 'You can go home - Daniel's injured his knee'."
However, a spokesperson for the movie ensured fans last night (05.02.15) that Craig is on the mend and filming is set to resume this weekend.
They said: "Daniel Craig sustained a knee sprain this week while shooting a fight sequence on the set of Spectre.
"He will be filming on Saturday as planned."

Vin Diesel’s Facebook feedback

Vin Diesel lets his Facebook fans choose who he stars alongside.
The 'Fast and Furious' star has revealed that he chose to work with Jason Statham on the latest instalment of the action film series after it was suggested by a number of his fans.
Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he said: "I listen to Facebook feedback. It's always been important to me. I feel like if Marlon Brando had a Facebook, there would have been an 'On The Waterfront 2'.
"When you're alone and you're reading the feedback, it hits you so if I go and I say, 'Who would you like to see me work with?' And I see the comments saying, 'Jason Statham, Jason Statham,' it's a good idea to listen. And now it is him."
The film also features the late Paul Walker - who died in a car crash in November 2013 - and the 47-year-old actor admitted that he wishes Paul could have been around to see the finished production.
He said previously: "I must also say, that it was emotional and bittersweet.
"We all went above and beyond to make Pablo [Paul's nickname] proud, but man, I wish he could see what we have created and just how far we have come."
The film also stars Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson and will be released in early April.

Rosamund Pike’s Gone Girl dream

Rosamund Pike thinks her 'Gone Girl' character was an actress' "dream".
The 36-year-old star - who plays Amy Dunne in the thriller - has admitted that a role like the one she played is "very empowering".
She said: "There's no actress who wouldn't dream of a character like that. As an actor, you think, 'I'm never going to be good enough. I can see how far I want to reach with this and the potential, but I'm never going to reach it.'
"But the other side of that, is you go home and think, 'I can do anything I want. This is so extreme. It's a version of being a woman that isn't contained in any way.'
"She's extreme. Yes, it's a film about a murderess, but it's very empowering, in some ways. It's great to stretch every muscle and get to make good on every insane thought you've ever had."
The 'Die Another Day' actress also admitted that she felt like the character for six months because the film's director, David Fincher, swore her to secrecy about the plot.
She added to Collider.com: "You play a part like this and people always ask you when you got the character out of your system. We finished the movie, and then, it wasn't until the New York premiere that we could finally talk about it, and I was like, 'I've basically been playing Amy for the last six months. I've been lying and hiding things and not telling the truth...'
"Obviously, the book found a huge readership, but many, many more people saw the film than read the book. Those people who didn't know what was coming had an extraordinary experience in the cinema because it's an extraordinary story. So, it was worth keeping those secrets."
