Jake Gyllenhaal: Rachel McAdams ‘has a beautiful darkness’

Jake Gyllenhaal thinks Rachel McAdams "has a beautiful darkness" on screen.
The 34-year-old actor, who was rumoured to be romancing his 'Southpaw' co-star, has admitted she was "a joy" to work with as the pair shot the upcoming drama together.
He told the June edition of Marie Claire magazine: "She has that beautiful darkness, but exudes a real, true light. To be dark and light at the same time is as rare as it is infectious.
"I was excited to come to work. And that's no bulls**t. you can feel her heart when you are acting with her. I know the audience can, too, which is why people love to watch her."
The pair - who were seen enjoying dinner together at Odys & Penelopes in Los Angeles earlier this month - are reportedly taking their relationship slowly.
A source previously said: "They started dating recently. They've always had a strong connection but the timing was never right.
"Now that [her previous relationship to music manager Patrick Sambrook is] over, Rachel would like to see where things go with Jake. They're taking it slow - but Jake is enamoured by her! He cares a lot about her."

Amanda Seyfried hates being apart from her dog

Amanda Seyfriend hates being separated from her dog, Finn.
The 29-year-old star - who is dating 'Dodgeball' actor Justin Long - has admitted she is extremely dependent on the Australian Shepherd and is worried about having to live life without him in the future.
The 'Les Miserables' actress said: "I just don't want to leave him anymore. Maybe it's because I'm subconsciously aware of his mortality. I try not to think about it, but somewhere inside me, I'm like, 'He's going to die way sooner than all the rest of the people I know!'"
The blonde beauty is also extremely attached to Justin, who she started dating almost two years ago.
She said: "I really do have my own identity, both inside and outside the relationship, if that makes any sense. It just feels right. It's also really good to feel OK being alone."
Amanda added the couple are both extremely close to their families.
She told the June edition of Vogue magazine: "Justin likes being at home with his parents. And I like that about him. I was in Allentown [Pennysylvania, her hometown] last weekend and didn't want to come back."
But the actress admits she hopes to raise her future children in Stone Ridge, New York, where she bought a farmhouse last October.
Asked where she sees herself living in the future, she said: "Here. Because I want to have kids. And I want them to go to local schools, and there are some really good schools around here. I would like my life to be the same as it is now, but with a little less stress and a little less work."

Bradley Cooper would tell younger self to stop worrying

Bradley Cooper would tell his younger self to stop worrying.
The 'Aloha' star, who is dating Russian model Irina Shayk, claims he has no regrets, but wishes he had been less anxious about being successful in the past.
The 40-year-old actor said "I would probably tell myself not to worry so much. But I wouldn't change anything, gosh, no."
The heartthrob's co-star Emma Stone, 26, also wishes she had been more relaxed.
She said: "I'd tell myself to relax a bit around the edges when I took things very, very seriously."
Bradley told PEOPLE: "We're two people who have been so blessed, it's crazy. We get to do what we do and love, and work with the people that we get to work with. And I get to work with her."
The 'American Sniper' star is close friends with Emma in real life and confessed she makes him laugh more than anyone else.
He said: "We laughed so hard during the whole movie. We like to see comedy in everything, at the most dramatic possible moments. I laugh around her more than with anybody else."

Lewis Hamilton found Zoolander 2 cameo ‘strange’

Lewis Hamilton found it "strange" being in 'Zoolander 2'.
The 30-year-old Formula One driver filmed a cameo appearance for the long-awaited sequel in Rome last month and was overjoyed to get to meet one of his favourite actor's Ben Stiller, who he said was surprisingly "down-to-earth".
He confessed: "It was a scene set at a fashion show. Ben came to meet me when I arrived and I got to talk to him, and he was just so down-to-earth it was kind of strange."
The Mercedes driver - who recently signed a lucrative contract with Mercedes - continued to say he is a huge fan of the 49-year-old actor, who has previously starred in comedies including 'Dodgeball', 'Tropic Thunder' and 'Meet the Parents'.
Speaking to Evening Standard magazine, he recalled: "He was exactly like he is in the movies. I'm going to lose my s**t when I see myself in a film with him."
Meanwhile, other famous faces have signed up to star in the movie including Justin Bieber, Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West.
And speaking about the film - which is due to be released in February 2016 - Ben previously said a "confluence of events" made the movie possible, as a follow-up to the original film, released in 2001.
He said: "Last year, we started looking at it again, and it seemed like the confluence of events of everybody wanting to do do it, and it got to a point where it actually came together. And it's exciting to finally be able to talk about it, too."

Carla Gugino: San Andreas was emotionally demanding

'San Andreas' leading lady Carla Gugino admits making the film was one of the most "physically" and "emotionally" demanding roles of her career.
The 'Sin City' actress was pushed to her limits making the disaster flick and had to do many dangerous stunts, but she's convinced she's at her best when challenged on screen.
Speaking at the world premiere of 'San Andreas' at the Odeon in London's Leicester Square on Thursday night (21.05.15), she told BANG Showbiz: "I always think I am at my best when the most is being asked of me. In this case physically, emotionally on every level it was very demanding and I was ecstatic every day and never wanted it to end. So it's incredibly special that we get to give it away to the world tonight."
If it weren't for the support of the director Brad Peyton, Carla didn't think she would be able to do some of the more frightening stunts.
She said: "There were a couple of stunts like the moments on the roof where there was a 20 foot drop. I told him (Brad) before - I was like I don't know if I will be able to do this. I thought can I really do this? I've done a lot of live performances on Broadway. But he looked at me and I looked into his eyes and he was like everything is going to be OK."
Carla Gugino stars alongside lead actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson - who portrays her on-screen husband - Alexandra Daddario, who plays the couple's daughter in the film and Kylie Minogue.
'San Andreas' is out now in cinemas worldwide.

Maggie Gyllenhaal told she’s too old to play lover of 55-year-old man

Maggie Gyllenhaal was left stunned when she was told she was too old to play the lover of a 55-year-old man.
The 37-year-old actress was astonished when a Hollywood producer rejected her for a role in a movie because after deeming her too advanced in age to accurately portray the guy's partner.
Maggie - who tactfully did not name the production company or her proposed co-star - told magazine The Wrap: "There are things that are really disappointing about being an actress in Hollywood that surprise me all the time. I'm 37 and I was told recently I was too old to play the lover of a man who was 55. It was astonishing to me. It made me feel bad, and then it made me feel angry, and then it made me laugh."
The 'Dark Knight' star added that even after the negative experience, she is hopeful that Hollywood will become a better place for women: "A lot of actresses are doing incredible work right now, playing real women, complicated women. I don't feel despairing at all. And I'm more looking with hope for something fascinating."
Hollywood is renowned for casting young women against much older men although new James Bond Movie 'Spectre' won praise for casting 50-year-old actress Monica Bellucci opposite lead star Daniel Craig, 47.
Oscar nominated Maggie - who has two children with her actor husband Peter Sarsgaard - found fame when she was cast alongside her brother Jake Gyllenhaal in the indie cult film 'Donnie Darko'.

Dwayne Johnson’s impressed by beautiful Kyle Minogue

Dwayne Johnson 'The Rock' went onto the set of 'San Andreas' on his day off just to see Kylie Minogue.
The wrestling champion-turned-actor was so "impressed" with the Aussie pop star - who he got to know well while working on the disaster movie - and said she exceeded all expectations with her cameo.
Speak at the world premiere of 'San Andreas' at the Odeon on London's Leicester Square, he told BANG Showbiz: "I got to know Kylie and she is great. I've always heard throughout Hollywood and the world of entertainment and her reputation and personality preceded itself.
"Everybody's like, 'I've heard she is kind of like this'. I came to the set on my day off to just watch her work, I was so impressed with her, she is so nice and beautiful."
When asked what drew him to the film about an earthquake epidemic - also starring leading ladies, Carla Gugino and Alexandra Daddario - the 'Scorpion King' star joked he did it for his attractive female co-stars.
He quipped: "I just wanted to work with hot women, only kidding."
Meanwhile, the 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' hitmaker - who makes a short appearance in the film, directed by Brad Peyton - also spoke fondly of Dwayne.
She said: "He's really amazing and seems like a really great, genuine guy."

Salma Hayek to play German spy Mata Hari

Salma Hayek is set to play 1900s exotic dancer, Mata Hari.
The Mexican actress is in discussions about taking on the role of the controversial woman, who was executed by firing squad in 1917 after being accused of spying for Germany.
Director Sophie Fiennes - who is responsible for 'Hoover Street Revival' - has reportedly been working on a film about the woman, born Margarethe Zelle, for years.
The brunette beauty and Sophie are said to have been in deep conversation about the script at Charles Finch's filmmakers' dinner at the Hotel du Cap.
The Hollywood star told the Daily Mail: "Sophie told me that there are a lot of misconceptions about Hari, a polyglot who used her skill to seduce soldiers and diplomats.
"Many of the men who enjoyed her turned against her, but there's evidence now that she was unfairly labelled a traitor."
Salma was in Cannes for 'Matteo Garrone's Tale Of Tales', a picture about grotesque goings-on in a horror fantasy world.
In one disturbing scene, the actress eats a giant sea monster's heart.
The 48-year-old star said: "It was disgusting - however, producer Jeremy Thomas reassured me that the heart was made of confectionery and it looked worse than it tasted."
