David Beckham wants acting career

David Beckham is gunning to be an actor.
The football icon turned his hand at acting with a cameo in short 'Outlaws' and next year he has a part in pal Guy Ritchie's film 'Knights of the Roundtable' and fans have even taken to social media urging David to be the next 007.
One follower tweeted: "People talking about Idris Elba. But for me, David Beckham is the perfect role to be a James Bond 007. And he is British (sic)."
While another wrote: "Wouldn't it be awesome if David Beckham be the next James Bond (sic)."
However, the 40-year-old hunk doesn't want to be one of those sports stars who rushes into a career in the movies and fails, but said he has "loved" the small roles he has had so far.
He told The Times newspaper: "I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed. But what I have done so far I have loved."
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid footballer is sure he is doing well so far as a film star because Madonna's ex-husband wouldn't cast him if he "thought I was going to ruin it", but also admitted he'd "love to do more" despite not wanting to dive into roles which are "too big for me".
He added: "[Guy] wouldn't put me in a film if he thought I was going to ruin it.I had 13 lines and practised a huge amount.
"I would love to do more, but I can't just jump into roles that are too big for me. I want to build up my experience and see where it takes me."

Daryl Hannah: My film role offers are insulting

Daryl Hannah gets offered "mostly c**p" film roles.
The 'Blade Runner' actress reignited her career in 2003's 'Kill Bill: Vol. 1' but admitted she has become disillusioned with the movie industry since because she gets offered so many bad roles.
However, asked whether being offered poor parts bothered her, she said: "Not really, because I've been working for a long time and, to a certain extent, I'm satiated. I'm not ambitious or desperate to be working all the time, because I have a lot of other interests and creative outlets. But, at the same time, it's insulting when you read a piece of c**p and you're like, 'Is this really what it's come down to? Thanks a lot'."
The 54-year-old star admitted she doesn't love all aspects of being a famous actress and feels "very uncomfortable" when promoting her films.
She explained to Style magazine: "I always loved the process, but was very uncomfortable with other aspects of the job, the publicity and stuff.
"I never got that kind of satisfaction, that people might be looking at me because they think I'm great. It made me feel weird and conspicuous, and more withdrawn and self-conscious. It doesn't imbue you with happiness or self-esteem, or any of those things that people project onto it."

50 Cent’s junk food binge

50 Cent loved eating cookies and cake while watching Jake Gyllenhaal go through intense training for 'Southpaw'.
The rapper stars alongside the actor in boxing movie 'Southpaw' and enjoyed having the "luxury" of having to gain weight while Jake slimmed down.
He said: "I enjoyed myself on the set. Jake did a great job, he really slimmed himself down. People say that they can't get rid of five pounds for the summer, you know what I'm saying?
"I had to put on weight for my role. I had the luxury of cookies. I enjoyed myself. While he was going through intense training, I was having cookies and cake and s**t."
The 40-year-old rapper was previously approached to star in a movie with Eminem and couldn't believe his friend turned down a huge pay deal for what seemed like an easy job.
He told Q magazine: "I remember I flew from LA to Detroit to talk to Em about a movie. It was a film where we were supposed to be playing two guys from different sides of the tracks. I'm like the head of this gang in Detroit and he's the head of another gang.
"His thing was he didn't like to leave Detroit, he didn't tour as often as he could because he didn't want to come back from tour and have Hailie [his daughter] be grown, you know? So I said, 'Hey, they want to give you eight million dollars to do it and we don't have to leave Detroit so you can go home every night.'
"He read the synopsis and was like, 'It's cool, but we should do something like 'The Warriors'. I said, ''The Warriors'? What the f**k? Did you just hear me say they want to give you eight million dollars and you don't have to leave Detroit? He didn't give a f**k."

Kerry Washington’s dance parties

Kerry Washington has dance parties with her daughter.
The 'Scandal' actress loves grooving around the house with 16-month-old Isabelle - her first child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha - to the youngster's favourite songs.
She said: "We're firm believers in at-home dance parties. She has this little Apple radio and for a while our favourite song was 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams, but she now also likes 'Uptown Funk' by Bruno Mars."
The 38-year-old actress is keen for her daughter to grow up to be comfortable in her own skin and doesn't want her to have other people's ideas of beauty imposed on her.
She said: "I'll tell her [when she's older] that it's important to not put the value of beauty in other people's hands.
"You have to nurture a relationship with yourself that makes you feel beautiful and not give that power to anyone else."
Though she is comfortable with herself, the 'Django Unchained' actress found she felt "pressure" to lose weight after her daughter was born.
She told Red magazine: "I remember after my daughter was born thinking there was a lot of pressure about how quickly you could lose the baby weight or not.
"It's like your duchess, Kate. You know, the minute her kids are born we all expect her to be outside the hospital with a perfect blow dry and for her to look effortlessly flawless. There's definitely still a pressure there."

Andrew Scott has ‘lovely suits and nice desk’ in Spectre

Andrew Scott has "lovely suits and a nice desk" in 'Spectre'.
The 38-year-old actor admits he is sworn to secrecy about the role he plays in the new James Bond movie but revealed he plays the head of the Centre for National Security and his part is linked to exploring the "ethics" of surveillance.
He said: "I play the head of an organisation called the Centre for National Security. It's about ethics and how the new world of surveillance compares with the old world of surveillance and the tension between them.
"And that is officially all I can say. Although I can tell you that I get to have lovely suits and a nice desk."
Andrew also reprises his role as villainous Moriarty in the upcoming 'Sherlock' Christmas special and admits it is tough not being able to speak about his work.
He said: "I seem to be in the habit of doing projects I can't talk about. Plot is everything in Bond. You don't want to give the fun away."
But the Irish star did reveal his parents were "delighted" by his Bond casting.
He told Red magazine: "I was at home when I got the call and rang my parents right away. They were delighted. I've done a lot of experimental theatre, so I say I'm doing a play at the Royal Court and they're like, 'Oh...' But everybody has t least heard about Bond."

Neil Patrick House wants to host Oscars again

Neil Patrick Harris would love to host the Oscars again.
The 42-year-old actor presented the prestigious awards ceremony in Los Angeles earlier this year and admits he would definitely be up for the challenge if he's approached to do it a second time.
The former 'How I Met Your Mother' star said: "I knew what I was getting into. It's a beast, but I'd love to do it again if I was asked!"
The four-time Emmy winner is gearing up for the launch of his new live weekly variety series, 'Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris,' on NBC later this month and claims it's a dream come true.
He explained: "You'll get to see a bunch of cool s**t. It's essentially showing audiences six or seven shows simultaneously. There are singing-competition shows and there are dancing-competition shows already. I didn't think there was room in the world for another version of that.
"I'm going to be pranking celebrities... I went and photobombed a wedding. It will be fun and, I'm hoping a little bit game changing."
Neil also plans to invite some of his celebrity friends to join him on the show.
He told Us Weekly magazine: "We have a celebrity announcer every week. I'm not supposed to say who our first one is, but it rhymes with Peace Mithertroon."

Daniel Craig is the ‘best Bond of all time’

Marc Forster thinks Daniel Craig is the "best Bond" of all time.
The 45-year-old film-maker - who helmed the 2008 Bond movie 'Quantum of Solace' - has claimed Daniel has created the best version of the iconic secret agent, ahead of the likes of Sir Sean Connery and Sir Roger Moore.
The director, who's just finished making the new Amazon series 'Hand of God', told BANG Showbiz: "I don't want to be that actor who is filling his shoes, because I think it would be a very difficult task, because I think he has been, for me, the best Bond and he's just really special."
A number of big names have been linked to the coveted role, including Idris Elba, Eddie Redmayne and Damian Lewis, and earlier this week, Australian actor Hugh Jackman also admitted he would "seriously consider" playing the part.
Hugh, 46, said he was approached about taking on the role of the spy 10 years ago before Daniel Craig got the job.
He shared: "I sort of have [been asked]. At the time I was just about to do 'X-Men 2' and I was like, 'Ah, I don't think it's the right time'. But it was not an easy one to give up."
Season one of the Forster-directed Amazon original series 'Hand of God' is available to view on Prime Video now.

Joaquin Phoenix: I don’t need Oscar success

Joaquin Phoenix isn't interested in Oscar glory.
The 40-year-old actor has enjoyed three nominations for 'Gladiator' (2000), 'Walk The Line' (2005) and 'The Master' (2012), and is widely accepted as one Hollywood's greatest actors - but confessed he doesn't give a second thought to winning at the annual Academy Awards.
He said: "That doesn't mean anything. That's other people's idea of success. Whereas I still feel that I'm not satisfied."
With a career CV that includes playing historical figures, modern philosophers and music icons, his acting career is packed with diversity but Joaquin hopes his best is yet to come.
He told The Times newspaper: "It's impossible for me to say. I just know that I'm not satisfied yet. I just know that I haven't done that thing where I've achieved something. I don't feel that I've done that yet."
And the star credits his siblings Rain, Summer, Liberty and River Phoenix - who died in 1993 of a drug overdose - for his lack of competitive nature and interest in grand accolades.
He said: "I never grew up with that idea of competition. We didn't compete as kids, and maybe because we were such a close family our parents downplayed the idea of competing.
"So the idea of all these big movies having awards campaigns with money behind them kind of bothered me."

Tom Hardy reveals Ronnie make-up routine for Legend

Tom Hardy has revealed it took him over an hour to switch between the roles of Ronnie and Reggie Kray for 'Legend'.
The 37-year-old actor portrays both twin brothers - who were notorious London gangsters in the 60s - in the new real life crime film and he had to don fake teeth, hair and a nose to portray Ronnie compared to his natural look for Reggie.
Hardy and his make-up artist had to master the process quickly because they only had seven weeks to shoot the movie.
Speaking at the press conference for the film in London on Thursday (03.09.15), he said: "It took about an hour to an hour-and-a-half (to change). It had to be quick, we had teeth, a wig, we had to plump up the nose, ageing stipple make-up. So there was about an hour's worth of make-up between Ronnie and Reggie but we only had seven weeks to shoot so couldn't faff about, we had to do it quite quickly. There were also wedges in the shoes because Ronnie had to be a bit taller, and an extra layer of shirts so he's shirts were bigger, a double-breasted suit, waistcoat, glasses so there was a different silhouette between the two guys but it all had to come in an hour to an hour-and-a-half."
Christopher Eccleston plays Detective Chief Superintendent Leonard 'Nipper' Read, the police officer who pursues the Krays for their crimes and eventually puts them behind bars.
His make-up routine was significantly quicker than Hardy's but he was astonished by how much he looked like his late grandfather when dressed as his alter ego.
Eccleston explained: "I looked exactly like my paternal grandfather, and he was a frightening man! I was struck by that when they put me in the gear and I based it on him, his effect on me as a child and his basic outlook as I imagined it."
Both Hardy and Eccleston attended the world premiere of 'Legend' at the Odeon Leicester Square cinema in London last night.
At the event, Hardy and his wife Charlotte Riley - accompanied by their pet dog Woody - announced to the world they are expecting a baby together as Charlotte's figure-hugging dress showed off a burgeoning baby bump.
Hardy and Eccleston were also joined by their co-stars Emily Browning, David Thewlis and Tara Fitzgerald on the special blue carpet as well as a host of stars such as former Smiths singer Morrissey.
