Meghan Markle’s half brother ‘hopes’ for Prince Harry proposal

Meghan Markle’s half brother "hopes" Prince Harry proposes soon.
The 36-year-old actress’ half brother Thomas Markle Jr. has described his sibling as a "hot commodity", and thinks her royal beau Prince Harry – whom she has been romancing since July 2016 – should get a move on and pop the question to her soon.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, Thomas said: "I hope Prince Harry proposes. She’s a hot commodity right now – he better get on it. I do have a sense of pride in Meghan being successful. It was just obvious from day one that she was destined to be somewhere really big. She’s always been a princess. She’s carried herself on that level from day one."
Thomas, 51, also described his large extended family being linked with the monarchy as "’Dukes of Hazzard’ and ‘The Simpsons’ versus the Royal Family," and even offered to help organise 33-year-old Harry’s stag do, should he eventually propose.
His comments come after Meghan recently claimed in a Vanity Fair interview that she and Harry are "in love".
She said: "We’re a couple. We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story."
And royal commentator Richard Fitzpatrick also recently claimed the interview’s "unprecedented" nature could mean a proposal is on the cards.
He said: "All the signs have pointed that way for some time. The Vanity Fair interview was unorthodox and unprecedented so I expect an engagement at any time. It is so clear Meghan, actress, humanitarian activist and someone who has had to fight her way to the top, is ideal for him."
