The 17-year-old singer is so obsessed with the picture-sharing site, which she has over 1 million followers, that she is constantly checking her page for updates.
She said: "I’m kind of cruising Instagram every hour or so, it’s the one I check back to when I’m bored."
However, the ‘Royals’ singer caused a stir last week when she used the social media site to attack over-the-top re-touching of celebrity snaps.
The teen-sensation slammed the use of Photoshop by posting before and after shots of her edited self, encouraging her many followers to embrace their "flaws."
She wrote: "i find this curious – two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. remember flaws are ok (sic)."
Despite encouraging her fans to go natural on Instagram, Lorde, who is famed for her signature purple lipstick, recently revealed she will be paring up with cosmetics brand MAC to deliver a limited edition range that will debut in stores this summer.
She said in a statement: "I have loved MAC cosmetics since I was a little kid. I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends!"
