Katy Perry has admitted she writes songs about people who have hurt her.
When asked in a recent interview about where she got her ideas for the songs for ‘Witness’ from, she revealed: "I get my inspiration for songs from watching everybody else … I’ll make stories about people that I love, or I’ll make stories about people that have hurt my feelings, or I’ll make stories that are just for me."
Among those who have hurt her in the past are her ex-husband Russell Brand and former lover John Mayer.
