Gwyneth Paltrow has thanked fans for their support following her marriage split.
The ‘Iron Man 3’ actress and husband Chris Martin used her Goop website this week to announce they were separating after 10 years of marriage and now the blonde beauty – who has children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, with the Coldplay singer – has used the online newsletter to express "deep gratitude" for the well-wishes they have received.
She wrote: "CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many."
The message also included a small love heart symbol.
Announcing their separation this week, the couple revealed they had worked on their marriage for "over a year" before deciding to part.
In a post titled "Conscious Uncoupling," the former couple wrote: "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate.
"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.
"We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been."
Appealing for privacy because they are "parents first and foremost," they added: "We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner. Love, Gwyneth & Chris."
