Debbie McGee appreciates life more after beating cancer

Debbie McGee feels stronger than ever after beating breast cancer.
The 61-year-old star has been through a tough time after doctors had to remove two tumours from her left breast in January before thankfully giving her the all-clear and Debbie says she wants to inspire other women after battling through her illness.
Debbie – who will compete on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Christmas special – told The Sun newspaper: "Everything that’s happened this year makes me appreciate my life more. I want to enjoy myself now. I hope to inspire other women.
"I want people to go and get checked because mine was caught so early it was like going in with an injection. And I want them to know whatever happens you can get back to what you know – I always believed that."
Debbie first competed on ‘Strictly’ in 2017 and will return to dance the quickstep to ‘Jingle Bells’ with Kevin Clifton, 37, for the Christmas special.
Debbie sought medical advice before signing up to the show and was given the go-ahead to compete by her doctors.
Meanwhile, the star hasn’t been in a relationship since her late husband and magician Paul Daniels passed away in 2016 but recently admitted she is "open to finding love again" following her breast cancer scare.
She said: "I feel like I’m the luckiest person in the world. It’s made me think even more to make the most of today and I would say I’m open to finding love again. It’s the same with my career. I let things happen and that’s what I think about meeting someone else.
"If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. But how wonderful if it did."
