Michelle Williams liked ‘larger scale’ of Venom

Michelle Williams wanted to "try something on a larger scale" with ‘Venom’.
The 38-year-old actress loved working with Tom Hardy on the comic book movie and enjoyed being pushed out of her comfort zone.
She said: "It’s not like people are always asking me to be in these kinds of movies. I thought it would be fun to try something on a larger scale and to see if I can relax."
And ‘The Greatest Showman’ actress wanted it to be obvious that ‘Venom’ was released as the #MeToo movement swept over Hollywood.
She added to gulf news: "There were certain lines that I felt were too passive or sweet. I wanted to make sure that she could stand her ground. I wanted it to be unmistakable that it was made in a #MeToo era. I said, ‘I know that you guys won’t let me wear a #MeToo T-shirt, but that’s the vibe that I want.’"
Meanwhile, Michelle previously revealed she loved working with someone as fearless as Tom on ‘Venom’ and says filming was taken in "all kinds" of unexpected directions.
She shared: "It’s super fun because you wind up in all kinds of situations that you wouldn’t have imagined. We would come up with things that weren’t scripted and all of a sudden you’re taking this non-linear leaps [to] places and then it’s just really fun. You’re truly improvising not only the particulars of what you’re saying to each other, but the situations you’re in. It feels almost like flying. You don’t know exactly where you just were, you don’t know where you’re going but you’re in it together."
