Noel Gallagher: Liam comes off well in Supersonic

Noel Gallagher says the new Oasis film ‘Supersonic’ has made his brother Liam out to be an angel.
The 49-year-old rocker has seen the final cut of the movie, which focuses on the band’s formation in 1991 and journey to their historic concerts at Knebworth Park in 1996, and says he’s not in the "f***ing mood" to talk about something that happened two decades ago, suggesting he’s not too pleased with the outcome.
Talking about the forthcoming documentary – which the pair contributed separately to – Noel said: "I’m a bit too close to judge it, aren’t I? Liam comes out of it well though.
"I’ve been on tour and making records, so I’m kinda not really in the f***ing mood for jumping on to something that happened 20 years ago. I’ve done 20 hours of interviews. I’m involved to the point of I was interviewed, I’ve seen it, and I’ve gone, ‘Yeah’."
However, he does think fans of the Britpop group will enjoy watching it and seeing it has reminded him just how massive they were and how much they changed people’s lives.
He told Canadian website www.exclaim.ca: "I do think the fans will love it because it looks great. I had forgotten about the size of Oasis and what it meant to people and the impact we had on people’s lives."
Meanwhile, Noel has shared details of his new solo album and was keen to clarify that it is not going to be an electronic sounding record.
He said: "Can I point out that it’s not electronic? Everyone thinks it’s an electronic record, and it isn’t.
"For some reason they all associate David Holmes [producer] with electronic music. To be honest with you we might do something electronic, but it’s turning out to be a rock ‘n’ roll record, which is fine with me."
The follow-up to 2015’s ‘Chasing Yesterday’ is expected to be released in 2017 and ‘Supersonic’ will be released in October.
