Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take romantic stroll

Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a romantic stroll up to a Buddhist monastery yesterday (14.04.16).
The royal couple – who are currently on a tour of India and Bhutan
 – hiked for five hours to reach Paro Taktsang, a prominent sacred site and temple complex, located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley, as they took in the sights.
Speaking before their adventure, a spokesperson for the pair said they were "thrilled" to be visiting such a
"magical place" as it "would allow them to get a real sense of the natural and
 spiritual beauty of the country."
The Duke and Duchess – who left their children Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, 11 months, back home in London for the trip – started their mammoth journey in the early hours of the morning as they left their five star hotel in capital Thimphu
on for a 90 minute drive to the mountain.

The duo were then greeted by horses as the four-legged creatures accompanied them on their trek to the monastery, which is situated near the cave where Guru Padmasambhava – who introduced Buddhism to Bhutan – meditated for three years, three
months, three weeks, and three days in the 8th century.

Along the way, the royal pair were offered beverages such as water, guava juice,
apple juice, mango juice and fried rice, as they battled against the blistering heat.
