3T made vow to support Michael’s kids

3T made a vow to help raise their uncle Michael Jackson’s children after he died.

The three band members Taj Jackson, Taryll Jackson and TJ Jackson are Michael’s nephews and after his shock passing in June 2009 they all told their grandmother Katherine Jackson they would always be there for his kids, Prince Michael, 16, Paris, 15, and 11-year-old Blanket.

During an appearance on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, TJ said: "Since my uncle passed – we lost our mother at young ages too – and that’s a very hard thing to get over so when my uncle passed, my brothers and I, we told our grandmother we’ll be there for her and do everything we can to help her and the kids. It’s been hard, it’s been tough, this is why it’s taken us so long to come out [into the spotlight again] as well because our focus has been them, to make sure they’re back on track and adjusting as best as they can. They’re doing really well … it’s a hard position they’re in but they’re doing well."

3T – whose father is Michael’s brother Tito – are currently featuring on TV show ‘The Big Reunion’, which shows them making a new bid for pop success.

The ‘Anything’ hitmakers are delighted to have been given another opportunity to perform together again.

Tarryll said: "It was just more politics and things that prevented us to continue our career … A lot has happened since the last time we were on stage."

TJ – who is co-guardian to Michael’s children – said: "Things in life got in the way so we went back to make sure our lives were in order before we continued our career."
