Zendaya to present at Billboard Music Awards

Zendaya is to present at this year’s Billboard Music Awards.
The 19-year-old singer will take to the stage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas alongside the likes of Heidi Klum and Kelly Rowland on May 22 to dish out trophies to the artists.
‘Orange is the new Black’s Laverne Cox and Kate Beckinsale have also joined the long list of stars – Ashton Kutcher, Kristen Bell, Wiz Khalifa and Steven Tyler have already been announced as presenters – handing out gongs to the excited winners, according to ‘Access Hollywood’.
As well as the usual categories, Celine Dion – who tragically lost her husband René Angélil to throat cancer in January – will accept Billboard’s ICON award, while Madonna will pay tribute to the late music legend and 2013 ICON recipient Prince following his shocking death on April 21.
And the glamorous ceremony is set to be a loud one as performances from the likes of Rihanna, Meghan Trainor, Nick Jonas, P!nk, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are set to shake the arena in Paradise, Nevada.
Kesha, who was initially banned from performing, has also been given the go-ahead to rock the arena after Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe label – which she was prevented from leaving earlier this year despite her allegations she was abused by the producer – withdrew their permission for her to sing there amid concerns she would reference their legal dispute.
A statement from Kemosabe released on Thursday (19.05.16) read: "Kesha’s performance on the Billboard Music Awards was always approved, in good faith.
"Approval was only suspended when Kemosabe learned Kesha was to use the performance as a platform to discuss the litigation. Now that Kemosabe has obtained assurances, that it is relying upon, from Kesha, her representatives and Dick Clark Productions that neither Kesha nor her supporters will use the performance as such a platform, the approval has been restored."
The record label’s U-Turn comes just days after the ‘Tik Tok’ hitmaker, 29, vowed her planned performance of Bob Dylan’s ‘It Ain’t You Babe’ at the ceremony had nothing to do with her dispute with Luke, who has denied all the allegations against him.
The Billboard Music Awards, which will be screened across the US, will be co-hosted by Ciara and Ludacris.
