'Britain's Got Talent's dancing grandma Paddy Jones didn't notice Simon Cowell had pressed his red buzzer.
The show boss initially rejected the 79-year-old dancer and her partner Nico on the opening show at the weekend (12.04.14), but he was left stunned when the energetic duo launched into a stunning Salsa routine.
However, Paddy claims she didn't let the negative buzz affect her routine because she wasn't actually aware it had been pressed at all.
Speaking on ITV's 'This Morning' today (14.04.14), she said: "I didn't see very much because Nico was moving me around ... it wasn't like I was stood there and could see the audience and get nervous - I was just going around like a whirling dervish!"
However, the flexible grandmother was automatically put through to the next round of the show after judge Amanda Holden pressed the golden buzzer.
Asked what it was like receiving the first ever golden buzzer, she replied: "It was really special. To be the first act to get it was really really super."
Meanwhile, Paddy must have impressed Simon, 54, as he took to Twitter yesterday (13.04.14) to defend her after it emerged she'd already won a Spanish talent show.
He wrote: "Don't knock Paddy for performing on a Spanish talent show. She is British and wants the chance to perform in front of our royal family.
"She is 80 years old. Let her have that chance. You the viewers will decide (sic)".

'Coronation Street's Nick Tilsley is to suffer a breakdown after discovering his estranged wife has a new lover.
The restaurant owner - played by Ben Price - is set to go off the rails after his former beau Leanne (Jane Danson) strikes up a relationship with his pal Kal Nazir (Jimi Mistry).
In scenes to air next month, Leanne admits to Kal she's worried about telling her former husband the truth.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, she says: "I was sitting there, looking him in the eye and I couldn't do it.
"He's been doing really well and this could really set him back to square one."
Kal replies: "You and me - if we are going to do this, then sooner or later he's going to get hurt."
Nick and Leanne have been living apart since he lashed out at her earlier this year as a result of the injuries from his nasty car crash, which left him with irrational mood swings.
The businessman had hoped he'd be able to patch things up with the blonde beauty, but it looks like the end of the road for their marriage after she falls for the fitness guru.
After weeks of sneaking around, the truth finally comes out and the heartbreak is enough to push Nick over the edge.

'Britain's Got Talent' fans are furious at the lack of British acts on this year's show.
TV viewers have criticised the producers for lining up so many foreign acts after half of the auditionees on Saturday's debut episode (12.04.14) hailed from abroad.
Controversial star Katie Hopkins led the rant, venting on Twitter: "Right that's it, Ukip. I am singing up. Britain has got talent. The clue is in the title."
Another user said, "Why can't foreigners go on telly in their OWN country?", while another raged, "I see #BGT is full of foreigners again".
The launch episode drew a record 12.3 million viewers, with highlights including dance act Light Balance from Ukraine, French drummer Jerome Dehedin, and German violinist Peter Panduranga.
Other memorable acts include Giorgio The King of Karaoke from Greece and salsa dancing granny Paddy Jones and her partner Nico Espinosa, who live in Spain.
A 'BGT' spokesperson told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's a testament to the success of the series that so many people from across Europe want to travel to the UK to appear on it following the global success of people such as Susan Boyle and Paul Potts."
Show boss Simon Cowell also defended the rules, which allow anyone who has the right to work in the UK to apply.
He said: "It makes it more of a contest. It's Brits against the rest of the world."

Sam Faiers is planning to have a boob job.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star hasn't ruled out going under the knife in the future because she's worried her bust will begin to sag after she has children.
When asked if she would like to have cosmetic surgery, she told Fabulous magazine: "I want four children, so after that if they're deflated and like udders, then yeah!
"I'm not against surgery, but I haven't had any yet."
The 23-year-old beauty, who lost a lot of weight after developing Crohn's Disease earlier this year, is already unhappy with her boobs as she believes her recent fitness regime has caused her bust to shrink.
She said: "The downside of all the training is I've lost my boobs a bit. I was a 34DD and now my 32D bra gapes. Boobs are important, but you can't have it all, can you?"
Meanwhile, the blonde stunner, who quit 'TOWIE' earlier this month, is adamant she won't be returning to the reality show this year after deciding to rekindle her romance with her ex-fiancé Joey Essex.
However, Sam was a little disappointed when her departure was screened two weeks ago because she believed her final scenes were cut short.
Taking to Twitter at the time, she wrote: "Can't believe my last ever scene was cut down...I said some lovely things to & about everyone over the last 4 years...Very disappointed. (sic)"

Michelle Collins has banned her daughter from working in showbiz.
The former 'Coronation Street' star - who played Stella Price from June 2011 until April 2014 - admits she'd have never become an actress if she'd known what the business was really like, and she's now warned her 17-year-old daughter Maia to stay away from the competitive industry.
She told The Sun newspaper: "In this business there's so many people who are deeply unhappy with themselves."
The 51-year-old beauty recently admitted she found life as a soap star difficult from the start and she even tried to kill herself after quitting 'EastEnders' in 1998 and splitting from her partner Fabrizio Tassalini shortly afterwards.
She said earlier this month: "I felt like I'd been tipped over the edge. I felt like a failure and found myself sinking lower and lower as the days went on, until in the end I couldn't seem to pull myself out of the hole.
"I remember swallowing some pills. There was no definite plan or explicit decision behind my actions. It just happened."
However, despite quitting 'Coronation Street' due to suffering with extreme tiredness, Michelle will be back on screens in mid-July after agreeing to join 'Casualty' as the love interest of paramedic Jeff Collier (Matt Bardock).
She said: "I'm going into 'Casualty' as a key character's love interest. It is only for a few weeks, which is perfect."

Lee Ryan has reportedly been pleading with Jasmine Waltz to take him back.
The 'Blue' singer split with his fellow 'Celebrity Big Brother' star girlfriend last month, but following his arrest on suspicion of drink driving in the early hours of Saturday (12.04.14) morning, it's been revealed he's been trying to get her back for the past week.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Jasmine is sick of Lee's antics. All last week he was trying to persuade her to come back to London to patch things up."
The 30-year-old star - who stunned viewers when he ditched love interest Casey Batchelor for the American model on the Channel 5 reality show - is said to have cheated on Jasmine, 31, with a man, according to claims she made on her Twitter account.
But she's since been showing him what he's missing by refusing to take his calls and partying at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in her native California, where she's said to be getting close to Blur rocker Dominic Howard.
The source added: "Jasmine ducked talking to him.
"Then Lee found out she was going to Coachella, which upset him deeply.
"He knew Dominic's band were there too."
Lee has since been charged with failing to provide a breath specimen and criminal damage, and the father-of-two has confessed he will be seeking help for his "problem" at rehab.
He said: "Me going to rehab isn't a cop out ... I am doing this because I have finally admitted I need help. I want to stop hurting the people around me."

Simon Cowell will want a baby daughter next, according to Amanda Holden.
The 54-year-old music mogul welcomed his first child, son Eric, with Lauren Silverman in February and his 'Britain's Got Talent' co-star predicts he will want another child.
Amanda recalled Simon's sweet demeanour around her own daughters, Lexi, eight, and Hollie, two, whom she shares with husband Chris Hughes.
She said: "Simon was so cute when Hollie sat on his lap and shared a biscuit with him. Now when she sees Simon on TV, she calls him 'My Simon'. I think Simon will have more children - he'll want a girl next."
Amanda, 43, also admits she never thought she'd see the day Simon became a father.
She added to Closer magazine: "If a fairy had come along and said, 'Simon will be cradling a son this year', I would have laughed in its face. He has softened so much since he became a dad.
"I think Simon thought children and families weren't for him, but he is so happy. Simon brings Eric on set at 'BGT' and he's adorable. He has Simon's lips. He's such a good baby!"

'The Voice' winner Jermain Jackman wants to name his debut album 'Genesis'.
The 19-year-old London singer was crowned the winner of the show earlier this month, after beating finalists Sally Barker, Christina Marie and Jamie Johnson, and has revealed plans for his first record, which is inspired by the Bible.
He told BANG Showbiz: "We're just collecting songs and working with producers, we're striking while the iron is hot.
"I've very religious and I want to call my first album maybe 'Genesis' or something. It's the beginning of the Bible, a beautiful, wonderful and influential story.
"It's the beginning of something special and my first album is the beginning of an epic journey [for me], I want to acknowledge that biblical term."
The singer and Labour party activist is "in talks" with coach will.i.am for him to produce the album but insists it's "early days", although he is hopeful original material will feature on the new record.
He added: "I love song-writing and I'd love there to be original material on the album. I write songs at home with my twin sister, we write rhymes, if I get a flash of inspiration, I'll wake up with a melody in my head and I'll get my phone out and record it."

Sir Bruce Forsyth has admitted 'Strictly Come Dancing' made him ill.
The 86-year-old entertainer recently announced he was stepping down from co-hosting the ballroom show, and he has now revealed his exit has come after he was "getting the flu" because of his workload.
Speaking on 'The Michael McIntyre Chat Show', he explained: "You get to the stage where you think this is enough. And I do get tired doing it.
"Live television is very strenuous, especially when some shows are an hour and 40 minutes. I have to do all the announcements and run up the stairs to get out of the way.
"I probably do that 40 or 50 times. And I was getting the flu. I always got flu in studios. They were so full of germs."
The veteran star had previously missed shows in both 2009 and 2013 due to illness, and it is believed he battled through on other occasions.
While he admitted it will "miss it like made", he is confident he made the right decision.
Bruce added: "I will miss it like mad, but it is a decision I would rather do this year than wait another year because you never know."
