Stephanie Nala has been branded a "spiteful" bully by her former classmates.
'The X Factor' hopeful - who is being mentored by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini - has been hit by claims that she was a "horrible and spiteful" bully while she was studying at Turnford School in Hertfordshire.
Stephanie Shaw, a former pupil and classmate of the singer, told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "She was the worst bully at our school. Steph made my life a living hell for four years.
"She'd say I was fat and threaten me. I went home crying again and again.
"I was terrified. She was known for starting fights."
These claims come after Stephanie told 'The X Factor' audience that she had been the victim of bulling herself and explained that it was affecting her self-confidence on the show.
Angered by these claims, another former student, Sam Gritton added: "She wants everyone to think she's this sweet little innocent. She's actually an intimidating bitch. The second I saw her on TV, I switched off."
Chloe Smedley, who also studied at Turnford School, wrote on Facebook: "It's a shame she's going to gain success. She made girls feel worthless."
Although Stephanie has yet to comment on the accusations made against her, a show source said: "Steph is devastated by these claims as she was often the victim of bullying."

Chloe Sims and Elliot Wright are "taking a break" from their relationship.
'The Only Way Is Essex' stars have reportedly broken up, just one week after ITVBe viewers watched them argue in Ibiza over Chloe's friendship with her ex-boyfriend, Mario Falcone.
According to The Sun on Sunday newspaper, a source revealed: "They're both cut up about it. They'd introduced their kids to one another and had moved in together to make it work.
"It's not one person's decision over the other, but they have decided to take some time apart."
Earlier this week, Elliot was described as "controlling" by Twitter users after the spin-off episode, 'The Only Way Is Ibiza' - which aired on Wednesday evening (08.10.14) - showed the businessman refusing to let Chloe and her former beau, Mario have lunch together.
He later retweeted a message of support on Twitter, which said: "Everyone calling @elliottwright_ controlling, so you'd let your girlfriend go for lunch with her ex yeah #towii (sic)"
Despite the split rumours, the couple - who started dating in June 2014 - still appeared to be on friendly terms.
Before the show on Wednesday, Chloe shared a photo on Instagram of a huge bouquet of pink roses. She captioned the picture: "These were such a nice surprise this afternoon... Thank you @elliotwright_ (sic)"

Frankie Bridge practices her 'Strictly Come Dancing' lifts with her husband.
The Saturdays singer is determined to master her tricky routines for the ballroom show so has soccer star Wayne Bridge help her out when professional partner Kevin Clifton isn't around.
She said: "I've been practicing my moves at home and Wayne and I tried some of the lifts in the garden so if I fell, I'd fall on the grass.
"We also tried in the bedroom while waiting for the bath - full of muscle soak - to run, but I wouldn't be too comfortable trying some of the lifts I do with Kevin with Wayne, way too dangerous."
Ahead of her performances on the show, Frankie has to have fake tan applied and she bans her husband from going "anywhere near her" in bed afterwards because she doesn't want to mess up their sheets.
She told OK! magazine: "It's funny, whenever I put on my pyjamas after I've had a spray tan, I always wear my longest ones and Wayne knows he can't come anywhere near me because we have lovely bed sheets and I don't want it to go everywhere.
"They're not sexy but they're so comfy. I don't care - I'm married now."

Graham Norton used alcohol to help him "fit in".
The 51-year-old talk show host has admitted that he began drinking a lot of alcohol whilst he was studying drama at university, which triggered a life-long "love affair with the bottle".
Talking in the Daily Mail newspaper, Graham shared: "Drugs have, of course, crossed my path from time to time, but for me it has always been about the bottle.
"It helped me to fit in. Even now when I walk into some showbiz bash, I feel a rush of teenage fear and insecurity. Where's the waiter with the tray? Find him and then let the small talk begin!"
Referring to the time that he moved to a hippie commune in Los Angeles after he dropped out of university, he explained that he thought he became "very good" at covering up his drinking, despite waking up with "dried vomit" down his face.
He said: "I became very good at disguising my drinking and hangovers - or so I thought."
However, the 'Graham Norton Show' presenter did note that his drinking was now mostly under control and he doesn't let it interfere with his work on the BBC show.
He told the newspaper: "More than 30 years later, I still allow myself only one glass of wine on my chat show.
"Most weeks it never comes close to being finished and even back in the early Nineties, when I had drifted into stand-up comedy, doing the rounds in the pubs and clubs, I kept to the one-glass rule."

Charlotte Riley wants to star in a movie version of 'Geordie Shore'.
The 'Peaky Blinders' actress - who is believed to have recently married partner and co-star Tom Hardy - is a huge fan of the MTV reality show and would love to play its star Charlotte Crosby in a movie of her life.
She said: "'Don't Tell the Bride' and 'Geordie Shore' back to back with salt and vinegar crisps, that's my night sorted.
"Maybe I could play Charlotte in 'Geordie Shore the Movie', she's my favourite."
Charlotte has enjoyed playing aristocratic horse trainer May Carlton in 'Peaky Blinders' but admits she longed for a more masculine appearance to be "in the cool gang".
She told Grazia magazine: "Because my character is always working with horses, there were a lot of trousers and culottes, which you didn't see many of the other women wearing.
"Filming the scene where May and Tommy meet, all the Peakies were standing to one side and I remember thinking, 'I want to be one of the lads! I want short back and sides and to have razor blades in my cap. I just want to be in the cool gang.' "

Bobby Norris wants to take Charlie King for a drink following his admission that he's gay.
'The Only Way Is Essex' star - who put his heart on the line for his former co-star only to be rejected live on television because Charlie insisted he wasn't interested in men - is happy his old pal has finally come out and would love to show him the gay party scene.
He said: "Most men know the offside rule - I've got a good gaydar. I can spot a gay man in a dark room. Charlie just didn't come out at the time.
"I've always known. I've known probably before he's known. Before he's taken the time to realise what he is. I've obviously known as long as I've known him - I've known him for about three years now."
Offering his advice to Charlie - who was dating TOWIE star Gemma Collins when Bobby revealed his feelings for him - he warned him to take things slow.
Bobby told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Take your time. Test the water and get in the scene.
"I'll happily take him clubbing and to the bars. I would love to show him the gay hotspots - and maybe a trip to Brighton."
Meanwhile, Charlie himself has said he'd love to show Bobby the "real him" after making his admission live on television.
He confessed: "I would like to think that now with clarity I have got, with the journey that we went on together, I'd love to hang out and have some fun, I'd love for him to see the real me."

Stephen Fry has slammed 'Downton Abbey' for it's "ghastly snobbery".
The 'QI' host has spoken out about the much-loved ITV period drama in his new autobiography 'More Fool Me', insisting the series created by Julian Fellowes is "horrible" compared to the channel's previous drama 'Upstairs Downstairs'.
According to Radio Times magazine, he wrote: "The excellent balance of 'Upstairs Downstairs' stands up very well against the ghastly snobbery and tacked-on noblesse oblige of that horrible Abbey programme."
The 57-year-old star - who has also opened up about his previous drug dependency in the book - went on to apologise to a number of his friends who actually star in the show.
He added: "I say this guilty, having actor friends I like very much who play in it, and play excellently, but the truth must come out."
Stephen's book is not the first time he's commented on the Emmy award-winning series, however, as he took to his Twitter account in 2012 to discuss his hatred for it.
He wrote: "I do so wish that every 'Downton Abbey' reference didn't make me want to puke. Nice talented people involved but ... is it just me? (sic)"
