Kara Tointon was "empowered" by her sister.
The 'EastEnders' star has admitted that fellow actress, Hannah Tointon, inspired her to take rejection from acting roles better.
She said: "It was with acting that I found my comfort zone. At first, it was heartbreaking if I went to an audition and I didn't get a part, but I got used to rejection and I just hoped that if I was right for a role I would get it - I was only 22 when I got the part in 'EastEnders'.
"But the difference between me and Hannah is she's far more direct; she knows what she will and won't do, whereas I fluster a bit. She has her own vision and she won't falter from it. She's actually taught me to be more like that too, and it's quite empowering."
The 31-year-old actress is starring alongside her sister in 'Mr Selfridge' but revealed that it was initially "weird" joining her on set.
She told The Sunday Times magazine: "Admittedly, at first it was weird seeing Hannah at work, not to mention the giggles we had on the first day of filming, but it was a wonderful experience."

Perez Hilton doesn't "give a sh*t" what the public thinks of him.
The celebrity blogger, who is currently starring on the reality TV show 'Celebrity Big Brother' in the UK, said he's unwilling to censor his behaviour to please his fellow housemates or the British public.
The 36-year-old star said: "I am going to behave as I see fit and manoeuvre myself in this house to only please myself ... If that doesn't please the public, then f**k you, I don't give a sh*t!"
Perez's outburst came after an explosive argument between himself and journalist Katie Hopkins.
During their verbal confrontation, Perez told the mum-of-three: "If I was one of your children I'd kill myself."
Katie, 39, responded to the insult by saying her children "loved their mummy" and "had the benefit of a mother and father", unlike the blogger.
Perez - who has one child, named Mario Armando Lavandeira - replied: "How dare you bring my child into this. Shut the f**k up, b***h'."
At that point, Perez stormed off towards the diary room, saying Katie is "hungry, she's thirsty, famished".
He added: "I'm not here to feed her. She should get her nourishment from [fellow housemates] Michelle's t**s and Cami's p***y."

Beverley Callard is helping to plan Anne Kirkbride's funeral.
The 57-year-old actress - who appears as Liz McDonald in 'Coronation Street' - will help Anne's grief-stricken husband, David Beckett, give the actress a send-off, after she died on Monday (19.01.15) following a short battle with cancer.
A source said: "Annie's death was very sudden - no one had time to prepare for it.
"It's not like David had months or even weeks to come to terms with losing his wife. He is all over the place and struggling to take things in.
"Bev is helping him with the funeral. They want it to be a personal ceremony that celebrates Anne as her family and friends knew her - as well as her career as Deirdre.
"That is really important to David. Anne was loved as Deirdre but he loved her as Anne and the tributes will reflect that."
Anne was known for her role as Deirdre Barlow in the ITV soap, a character she had played for 40 years.
All the cast and crew have been invited to the funeral, which takes place on Wednesday (28.01.15).
The source continued to The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "All of the cast and crew have been invited on Wednesday.
"There are so many people from 'Corrie' going that the bosses have laid on coaches. The venue will be packed and it will be very emotional."
Meanwhile, Beverley previously paid tribute to her dear friend and co-star.
Tweeting after the news of Anne's passing was confirmed, she said: "My beautiful darling friend, Anne Kirkbride, passed away in a room filled with love. God Bless, my Darling Girl! Peace and rest! (sic)"

Alicia Douvall thinks Katie Price is "jealous" of her.
The 35-year-old model - who also dated two of Katie's ex's, Dwight Yorke and Dane Bowers - has revealed that her 'Celebrity Big Brother' housemate has an "underlying insecurity".
Recalling an incident in the house, she shared: "We were having a singing competition and when it was my turn she walked out. And she'd compliment me but then make a silent dig.
"She's just had a baby and she isn't the most secure about her body. So she was trying to make sure I wasn't showing mine.
"There was a twinkle of jealousy - she has an underlying insecurity."
Alicia - who was evicted from the house on Friday (23.01.15) - has revealed that she is glad to have left when she did because of the pair's "history".
She added: "When Katie arrived I was really disappointed. I thought there would be a fight and it would be too much for me to contend with.
"There is a lot of history between us. There was definitely a rivalry between us in the house. So it's good I went when I did."
Alicia also recalled the event that led to them falling out initially and admitted that they will always have a "turbulent relationship".
She told the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper: "Years ago she intimidated me in a big way on a night out. Her and her friends were surrounding me and calling me nasty stuff. It wasn't nice.
"It's years on and the problems between us were still brewing in the house.
"We were friends but there were cracks in the friendship. I know we'll always have a turbulent relationship."

Sheridan Smith is dating Greg Wood.
The 'Cilla' star has reportedly started romancing the 'Hollyoaks' actor, leaving his wife Catherine - who he split from three months ago - "devastated".
A source close to Greg's partner of ten years said: "Catherine was devastated when she realised that Greg was dating Sheridan so soon after they split.
"She found out in November that they were sending each other flirty messages on Twitter, but didn't know things had gone any further.
"So it came as a real shock to her that they were dating. Her split from Greg was far from amicable, but they were together for a long time.
"The two of them aren't even divorced yet, though they are going through the process."
The soapstar - who plays Trevor Royle in the Channel 4 show - has two children with his ex-partner; Serena, eight and Joel, four.
He is believed to have moved out of the home they shared in Stockport, Greater Manchester, last year after the pair agreed to divorce.
The source added: "He and Catherine had split up at that stage, so they aren't technically doing anything wrong. But she was shocked it happened so quickly.
"After all, he is still a married man."
The pair were spotted enjoying a meal last week in a Liverpool restaurant, where an onlooker revealed that the new couple "couldn't take their hands off each other".
They shared to The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "They were clearly besotted with each other, and were very tactile, kissing and cuddling. They couldn't keep their hands off each other.
"They were definitely still in the honeymoon stage."

Jane Pountney is reportedly entering the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house.
Katie Price's former best friend - who had an affair with her husband, Kieran Hayler - is rumoured to be joining Katie on the reality television show, in a move that is sure to anger the 36-year-old television personality.
A source said: "Kate would have a fit if Jane was added to the mix.
"We're talking an all-out cat fight - there is no way Kate would be able to hold it together."
The former friends have not spoken since Katie discovered her husband - with whom she has two children, Jett, 17 months and Bunny, five months - was cheating on her with Jane.
Ladbrokes' odds on Katie's 52-year-old love rival entering the house have fallen from 20/1 to just 5/4.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes added to the Daily Star newspaper: "Punters would love to see the showdown between Katie and Jane. It would be TV gold and the odds suggest it's only a matter of time before we see the two women tearing each others hair extensions out."
Meanwhile, in scenes aired on the Channel 5 show last night (24.01.15), Katie - who also has Harvey, 12, Junior 9, and Princess, 7, from her previous relationships - admitted that she fears Kieran will cheat again because he is an "adrenalin addict".
She told her housemates, Perez Hilton and Alicia Douvall: "I worry. It's not him being out with his friends that worries me, it's the journey there and the journey back because that's where he committed his unfaithfulness.
"I don't know how I [gave him a second chance]. I think it must have been a therapist. If I didn't believe he has a problem, I wouldn't be with him ... He's not got a sex addiction, it's an adrenalin addiction."

Kelly Hoppen has quit 'Dragons' Den'.
The businesswoman confirmed her departure from the BBC Two show after two series, citing a "packed schedule" as the main reason.
She said: "I've had a brilliant time and made several successful investments.
"However, due to a packed schedule and international commitments... I sadly cannot commit to the filming schedule.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on Dragons' Den and met many inspiring entrepreneurs along my journey. I will continue to work and invest in young entrepreneurs."
Kelly admitted that it was a "privilege" being part of the show, which sees budding businessmen and women pitch their business ideas to a panel of investors.
She added: "It has been a privilege to be part of a programme which champions entrepreneurs.
"I will miss my fellow judges and I'm sure someone amazing will fill my seat...
"I wish everyone on the show the best luck. What's left to say but 'I'm out.'"
Kelly's replacement has yet to be announced and the 55-year-old interior designer will still appear on screen, after the show's mid-series break.
Meanwhile, Duncan Bannatyne also previously announced that he was leaving after this series.
He said at the time: "I do not plan to make any further investments on the programme so thought it fair to offer my seat to someone else."
Peter Jones is now the only remaining Dragon from the original series line-up.
