Kavana engaged

Kavana has got engaged.
The 'I Can Make You Feel Good' hitmaker - who publicly came out in February last year - was proposed to by his long-term boyfriend Neil Ely on Valentine's Day (14.02.15) at a concert by fellow 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant, Alexander O'Neal.
A source at the show said: "He introduced him as my Dawg, Kav appeared to cheers and clapping and I think he assumed he was going to sing with Alex.
"But then his partner Neil appeared at the stage and was handed a microphone. He proceeded to get onto one knee and ask Kav to marry him.
"Kav looked totally shocked and immediately said yes as he took the ring from the box and put it on his finger to cheers and clapping from the crowd."
After the shock proposal, other contestants from the Channel 5 reality show such as model Cami Li were quick to congratulate the 37-year-old star.
"They hugged and then Alex started to sing 'If You Were Here Tonight' and Kav was congratulated at the stage as he left by Cami."
Also at the concert - which was held at The Jazz Cafe in London, was the show's winner Katie Price, who confirmed the news on Twitter.
The 36-year-old former glamour model wrote: "Wooo Kav just got engaged wooo. (sic)"

Mel B considering tell-all reality series?

Mel B is keen to make a tell-all reality show.
The 39-year-old singer and former Spice Girl has hit the headlines on numerous occasions in the past few months due to speculation of domestic abuse between her and husband Stephen Belafonte and a mystery illness which forced her into hospital in December, and the star is now eager to set the record straight by bringing back her reality programme 'Mel B: It's a Scary World'.
She said: "I'd definitely be open to doing 'It's a Scary World' again.
"It's just crazy family life everyone relates to."
The show originally ran for one season but producers are believed to be desperate to secure a return for the show to document 'The X Factor' judge's explosive family life along with daughters Phoenix, 15, Angel, seven, and Giselle, three, in a bid to rival 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'.
A TV boss confessed to the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Mel's show would make 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' with Kim and co look like something from CBBC.
"Mel's one of the hottest properties on telly with a personal life to match - and an access-all-areas show would be TV gold."

Carol McGiffin has breast cancer

Carol McGiffin has breast cancer.
The former 'Loose Women' panellist discovered a lump on her left breast a year ago and was diagnosed with cancer in April, leading to a mastectomy, six rounds of chemotherapy and 15 sessions of radiotherapy, but has kept the illness a secret until now because she didn't want people's sympathy.
She explained: "Part of my reason for keeping it quiet until now has been due to other people's reactions. Some friends haven't been able to deal with my news and got really upset. I then feel really guilty.
"I don't want to pretend any more. I kept it a secret because I didn't want anyone feeling sorry for me.
"I feel it is over now and I've got through it. I just want to be able to go out without my hat on and for people not to be bothered. I just want life to get back to normal."
Despite undergoing exhaustive treatment for the illness, the 54-year-old broadcaster has remained optimistic throughout.
She said: "There weren't any tears. Cancer is not the death sentence it used to be if it's caught early because there is loads of good research. You just have to get on with what life throws at you."
However, the 'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant admitted the hardest part of the disease has been her changing appearance with her trademark blonde bob falling out due to the treatment she has been receiving.
She said: "What really did it for me was losing my eyelashes and eyebrows around two months into the chemo. I felt like I couldn't go out because people would stare and then notice I was ill.
"When you've got a giant scar, no hair, no eyebrows and no eyelashes it is pretty shocking. I took a few selfies but I deleted them. I don't think I need to be reminded of what I looked like. Thankfully my hair is starting to grow back now, but it is not long enough yet."
Nevertheless, Carol and fiancée Mark Cassidy are now hopeful she has defeated the illness for good.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror newspaper, she added: "Fingers crossed the treatment has seen off the cancer. My next appointment is a follow-up with the oncologist in April and in July I'm back at the breast clinic. And then it is check-ups every six months. If it hasn't come back in five years I'll get the all clear.
"So for now normal service is resumed. If it comes back I'll deal with it. It's not a battle. I just see it as a bit of a health hiccup."

Katie Price: Katie Hopkins looks like SpongeBob SquarePants

Katie Price thinks Katie Hopkins looks like SpongeBob SquarePants.
The 36-year-old businesswoman spent three weeks in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house with the former 'The Apprentice' candidate and believes it would be difficult to make her look attractive because she looks like the animated sea-dwelling creature.
She said: "Deep down she wants to be a glamour puss but with a face and body like that it's hard.
"She kept taking her top off in the house to reveal her abs, but she's got a very unfortunate SpongeBob SquarePants figure and her skin is covered in unsightly moles."
As well as her unsightly appearance, the former glamour model - who won the Channel 5 competition - said her time in the house was made "hell" by an unsavoury stench coming from the 40-year-old broadcaster's mouth, which housed a rotting tooth.
She continued: "At first I thought Katie Hopkins had food stuck in her teeth but when I got closer I realised it's actually a crown on her front tooth which has gone all black. That explains the foul smelling breath which made life hell in there."
And while the controversial character teased Katie Price and fellow contestant, actress Patsy Kensit, for their regular use of fake tan, she claims her attitude was hypocritical as she also used beauty products despite having "skin like a rhino".
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "She made fun of me and Patsy for wearing fake tan but then she began secretly using it herself.
"Katie also got me to do her make-up a few times but it was difficult to help her because she's got skin like a rhino."

EastEnders are to recreate the soap’s first ever scenes

'EastEnders' are to recreate the soap's first ever scene.
The show's producers have announced they will use the real sound effects from the opening scenes of the show's first episode in 1985 as part of an hour-long 30th anniversary special on Thursday February 19.
Speaking about the forthcoming scenes, executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: "Live week allows us to have some fun while also paying respect to our past. Our Story Producer Alex Lamb had the idea to replicate 'EastEnders' first ever scene back when we started planning our anniversary - and it has been lovingly modernised for 2015 by anniversary producer Sharon Batten, our longest serving 'EastEnders' writer Rob Gittins and Director Karl Neilson. With little touches like this throughout the week, we will hopefully make Julia Smith and Tony Holland proud of the show they created back in 1985."
The scenes, which will also reference the soap's first ever line, however, will be different to the show's original beginning, as they will show characters kicking down the door of number 23 - where Arthur Fowler, Den Watts and Ali Osman found Reg Cox shortly before he died - where three Walford residents will discover 'Nasty' Nick Cotton's dead body.
Although 'EastEnders' bosses are keeping the circumstances around the character's death a secret, they have promised the scenes will be reminiscent of the first episode, and will be just one of a number of twists involved in the series of anniversary episodes.
Elsewhere in the live episodes broadcast throughout the week, February 16-20, viewers will finally discover the identity of the person who killed Lucy Beale on the show almost a year ago.

Natalie Cassidy: Danny Dyer isn’t ‘anything special’

Natalie Cassidy doesn't think Danny Dyer is "anything special".
The 31-year-old actress, who plays Sonia Fowler in 'EastEnders', admits her co-star (Mick Carter) in the BBC One soap is "lovely", but doesn't think he is any different to the other guys on the show like Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell) or Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale).
She said: "He's the same as everybody else. Kellie [Bright (Linda Carter)], Danny, Maddy [Hill (Nancy Carter)], they're great additions to the show.
"Everyone is obsessed with Danny, but he's just a bloke.
"He's a lovely guy, he's no different to Steve McFadden or Adam Woodyatt, he's not like anything special.
"I can see that now in speech marks, 'Danny Dyer isn't anything special!' But it's true, and he'd be happy that I said that."
But Natalie was delighted to see Danny and his fellow Carters taste individual success at the National Television Awards (NTAs) last month and believes Maddy and co-star Himesh Patel, who pays Tamwar Masood, are both set for a bright future.
He added to heat magazine: "Look at all the gongs we won at the National Television Awards. It was Danny, it was Maddy, it was Best Soap - everyone really likes them, so of course we're unbelievably pleased for them.
"And for me, I've said from the beginning, Maddy is an incredible actress.
"Her and Himesh are my two favourites. They're geniuses."

Shane Richie took Viagra on EastEnders set

Shane Richie took Viagra on the 'EastEnders' set.
The 50-year-old actor - who plays long-running soap star Shane Richie - revealed he and his co-stars once took the anti-impotence medication while on set as a joke, but then had an awkward moment as they were called to film a scene and didn't want their protruding members to be caught on camera.
Recalling the hilarious incident on the 'EastEnders' special of 'The Graham Norton Show' which airs on Monday (16.02.15), he admitted: "It was when Viagra had just come out and we all took one - we were told they would take 20 minutes to work so I popped a pill at the end of the day. Just as I was on my way out the director said, 'We need to shoot a scene again.' All the men filmed the scene pressed very close to the bar."
The comical admission was made on the chat show as the cast gear up to celebrate the London-based soap's 30th anniversary next week, during which they will air a series of live episodes, which some cast members are feeling anxious about.
Kellie Bright who plays Linda Carter confessed although she is looking forward to the challenge, she is scared she might burst out laughing while filming serious scenes.
She said: "I'm more worried about nervous twinkling [laughter]. That would be worse than forgetting our lines."

Mike Tindall suffered head injury on Bear Grylls: Mission Survive

Mike Tindall suffered a head injury on 'Bear Grylls: Mission Survive'.
The new survival programme sees eight celebrities accompanied by adventurer Bear Grylls travel through Central American rainforests, and the 40-year-old professional admitted there was one particularly gruesome moment for the former rugby captain when he sustained a deep gash after being hit by a piece of wood.
Recalling the incident, he said: "I knew it was bad so we had to get him out of there.
"We had to get him to hospital where he needed to be stitched up."
Thankfully the 36-year-old sportsman - who is married to royal Zara Phillips - received treatment and was able to return to the show, although a separate incident involving Dame Kelly Holmes almost had a nasty end.
Bear explained how the Olympic athlete almost drowned in a 300ft waterfall on one occasion while taking part in the mission, describing the moment as "touch and go".
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "She started going under. That was a little bit touch and go."
The show - which will launch next Friday (20.02.15) at 9pm on ITV1 - also features singers Jamelia and Max George, actors Emilia Fox and Laurence Fox, comedian Tom Rosenthal, and model Vogue Williams.

Ferne McCann wants to marry Charlie Sims

Ferne McCann wants to marry Charlie Sims.
'The Only Way is Essex' stars are set to celebrate their fifth anniversary in May and Ferne has revealed she sees the 22-year-old hunk as the man she will spend the rest of her life with, even though she is unsure if he has plans to propose.
When asked if she thinks they will get engaged any time soon, she said: "I don't know, because I'm not going to be the one proposing. I'd like to be more settled in our relationship but he's definitely the man I want to marry. We're looking to move in together this year and go on holiday."
Although the couple have not yet tied the knot, they have already made plans to start a family together, and have picked out baby names after getting broody following the birth of co-star Billie Faiers' daughter Nelly in July.
Speaking about whether she would like to have children, she told OK! magazine: "Definitely, I want five and he wants three. We've got all our baby names picked out. Being around Billie [Faiers] and Nelly all the time makes you want one!"
