Laura Whitmore leaving MTV News

Laura Whitmore will no longer present MTV News.
The 29-year-old star has announced she is to stop hosting the channel's segments after seven years due to other work commitments.
In a post on her Instagram account, Laura said: "After 7 years, I have decided it's time to hang up my MTV news hat. It was my very first telly job and I can't thank MTV enough for taking the chance on me. However due to some upcoming projects I can no longer commit. (sic)"
Laura will still be working for MTV and will be responsible for fronting 'MTV Asks', special one-off shows which focus on individual artists.
The 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here Now!' host said: "I will however still very much be on the channel hosting the 'MTV asks' artists specials, MTV Awards for International, festivals as well as some new projects currently in development. There are some exciting projects over the next 9 months I will be telling you about when I can. In the mean time, next week will be my last news records. It's been a blast! Lx (sic)"

Lydia Bright reveals Arg is ‘doing well’

Lydia Bright says James 'Arg' Argent is "doing well" and all the 'TOWIE' cast want him to return to the show.
Arg is currently suspended from 'The Only Way Is Essex' after struggling with alcohol and substance abuse, but he checked himself into rehab in an attempt to turn his life around.
His on/off girlfriend Lydia has revealed his efforts are working and he is getting back to his old self.
During an interview on 'This Morning', she said: "He's doing really well at the moment ... and we're all praying that he comes back sometime during this series."
Lydia's 'TOWIE' castmate Elliot Wright says Arg's main inspiration to change is to get back with Lydia.
During the interview, Elliot said: "He's doing amazing. He's in the gym every day, he's working hard, (looking at Lydia) he's got his inspiration ... He's lost a lot of weight ... he's done fantastic, I'm really proud of him. He was in a bad place and he's come through it really strong."
Bobby Norris also can't wait for him to return to the reality TV show, saying: "We're all missing him and thinking of him. Come back Arg, we miss you!"

Jacqueline Jossa gives birth

Jacqueline Jossa has given birth to a baby girl.
The 'EastEnders' actress and boyfriend Dan Osbourne - who already has 13-month-old son Teddy from a previous relationship - welcomed "perfect" Ella into the world yesterday (15.02.15) and the couple couldn't be happier.
Jacqueline wrote on Twitter: "Baby ella osborne was born yesterday thankyou @DannyO and @Sarabro2 for everything. Amazing. She's perfect x (sic)"
And Dan also used the site to announce: "So so so so happy to tell you all!! Our baby girl Ella arrived yesterday evening @jacquelineMjos done SO well, proud of you. I love you."
Details of the new arrival's weight have not yet been announced.
The 22-year-old actress recently admitted she "panicked and stressed out" when she first found out she was pregnant.
Speaking of when they found out the news, Dan said: "I just froze and Jackie was giggling, then I was, then I said to her, 'We need to go and tell your mum, now.' "
Jacqueline added: "I couldn't stop laughing, I giggle at the most awkward situations. My first thought wasn't to tell my mum.
"Then I started panicking, stressing out and going crazy and was like, 'No stop, you're freaking me out.'
"Our emotions were all over the place - at first I was emotional and then I went numb then Dan went numb and then got emotional, we met in the middle somewhere.
"Then he fell asleep and started snoring, I wanted to punch him in the face."

Carol McGiffin felt ‘butchered’ after mastectomy

Carol McGiffin felt "butchered" after her mastectomy.
The former 'Loose Women' panellist revealed at the weekend she has been undergoing treatment for breast cancer after discovering a lump last spring, and she has admitted an operation to remove the tumour has left her with a scar which looks like a shark bite.
She said: "When the dressings finally came off I looked down and couldn't take it in. The scar was really neat but seemed to go on forever, all the way to my armpit. It looked like I'd been bitten by a shark and felt like I'd been butchered."
As well as the mastectomy, the 54-year-old broadcaster had to undergo several bouts of chemotherapy and radiotherapy along with treatment drugs which caused her self-esteem to plummet as her blonde locks fell out.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she confessed: "I did feel ugly and butch but there was nothing I could do. Cancer took away my self-esteem and for the first time in my whole adult life I didn't feel sexy. This was largely down to the way I looked. The change was so drastic, I didn't feel like it was me anymore."
However, after going public with her battle with the illness, positive comments from fellow sufferers have helped to boost her self-esteem once more.
She said: "From the minute the story went out online there was an explosion of good wishes on Twitter and Facebook and almost every friend I have either texted or emailed. I couldn't keep up.
"I can't thank people enough for being so kind and understanding, and funny! The comments about my hair were more encouraging and have boosted my confidence no end. Hearing from fellow breast cancer sufferers was particularly heartwarming. Some brought a tear to my eye. So thank you everyone and onwards and upwards."

James Bye says Martin Fowler will ‘sow wild oates’

Martin Fowler will "sow a couple of wild oats" on his return to 'EastEnders'.
James Bye stars as the fruit and veg seller on the BBC soap - replacing James Alexandrou in the role - and has revealed he's hoping to get some romantic storylines following the collapse of Martin's relationship to Sonia (Natalie Cassidy).
James explained: "Martin and Sonia were together for years and when they got married he was only 19. I wouldn't say he's a ladykiller now, but he'll sow a couple of wild oats."
And James - who returns this week for the fifth wedding of his cousin Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) - thinks Stacey Branning, played by Lacey Turner, would be the ideal love match.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Stacey would be great and Lacey is arguably one of the best actresses on the show, so if that happens I'll be extremely happy."
By contrast, James insists there's no chance of Martin and Sonia rekindling their romance, despite having a daughter together.
He shared: "As much as Martin would want that family back for his daughter Rebecca's sake, they're not in love with each other any more."
What's more, James says he's pleased to have a certain degree of "freedom" with the character, because he's not been seen on the show since 2007.
He explained: "Martin's got so much backstory but with him being away for seven or eight years, it gives me some freedom."

Amanda Holden to quit Britain’s Got Talent

Amanda Holden has hinted she will quit 'Britain's Got Talent' after 10 years as a judge.
The 44-year-old star has been on the panel of the talent show since it began in 2007 and has suggested she may walk away after doing a decade and take some time off to enjoy herself.
Speaking at a press conference for the programme, she said: "I would love to make it 10 and then call it a day. I think, 10 years is an amazing feat. I want a nice big clock when I leave and some holiday in the sunshine. And a retirement package."
Amanda - who appears on the panel with David Walliams, Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon - has also been acting as a guest presenter on 'This Morning' while regular host Holly Willoughby is on maternity leave and she's up for more hosting work.
The mother-of-two - who has Alexa, nine and Hollie, three, with her husband Chris Hughes - has revealed she has a new project lined-up but she is staying tight-lipped on the details, only promising it will be "great".

Calum Best admits he has personal ‘demons’

Calum Best "still has some demons".
The 34-year-old reality TV personality saw his life take a downward turn following the death of his football legend father George Best in 2005, but says his recent appearance on 'Celebrity Big Brother' is proof of the progress he's made.
He explained: "Without a doubt I've still got some demons, still got some issues.
"But I've been working on myself for some time now, and for me to go on that show and be myself and for people to go, 'You know what, he's OK, we got him wrong,' is massive. The insecurities I had because of my past took me to a pretty dark place, but I'm the strongest I've ever been now, in body and mind, and it's given me the confidence to feel comfortable with myself and be the man I truly am."
Calum also revealed he's recently given his girlfriend, 'Made In Chelsea' star Ianthe Rose Cochrane-Stack, the key to his flat.
He told HELLO! magazine: "Before I went into the ['Celebrity Big Brother'] house, I wanted to do something special so I bought us matching hoodies and said to Ianthe, 'When I'm wearing mine, I want to picture you in my flat wearing yours.'
"I've always lived alone and guarded my privacy, but it felt great giving Ianthe her own key. It felt exciting.
"I've been a bit rock 'n' roll in my past and I always will be, but Ianthe's such as precious, well-spoken, English rose, and it's super appealing to me. She's so classy. It's a really beautiful thing and I'm so happy to have her in my life.
"On a more shallow note, she makes me look good because she's so genetically blessed and so gorgeous."

Binky Felstead paid £3k to promote kids charity

Binky Felstead was paid £3,000 to promote a children's charity.
Barnardo's has splashed out the huge sum on the 'Made in Chelsea' star - whose real name is Alexandra Felstead - in an attempt to attract more people to follow the aid organisation on its social networking site and visit their UK stores.
A message on the charity's official Twitter account read: "Our retail trading arm operates in commercial environment & is paying £3k for @BinkyFelstead campaign (sic)"
This comes after one publication reported Binky was being paid £20,000 for the work by the charity, but the 24-year-old star branded that "total lies".
The report came after the brunette beauty shared a picture of herself on Instagram holding up a sign which asked her 639,000 followers to follow the official Barnardo's Instagram account.
The caption read: "Something special happening with @barnardosretailtoday ... Follow their account and watch this space! (sic)"
Barnardo's - which supports vulnerable children - also released a statement insisting it "does not usually pay celebrities" who work with them and took a "business decision" to acquire the reality star's support.
The organisation said: "Barnardo's retail shops are part of the charity's trading arm and as such operate in a commercial environment.
"We are soon to launch a new campaign to encourage much-needed donations to our shops.
"We took a business decision to acquire the support of Alexandra Felstead to bring the appeal to a new and wider audience. We expect the campaign to increase donations significantly and will be monitoring its impact on our sales.
"Barnardo's does not usually pay celebrities who support our work with the most vulnerable children across the UK."
Despite the charity's clarification, both Binky and Barnardo's still came under fire from some social networking users.
Twitter user KLC2978 wrote: "that's disgraceful. Waste of £ by Barnardo's & she should have done for free! No charitable spirit in Binky (sic)
woodmally1979 posted: "Utter disgusting of @barnardos ... spending peoples hard earned donations like that. (sic)"

Olivia Colman works out to Natalie Cassidy’s fitness DVD

Olivia Colman works out to Natalie Cassidy's fitness DVD.
The 'EastEnders' actress - whose DVD 'Natalie Cassidy's Then and Now Workout' became the fastest-selling weight-loss DVD ever in the UK after its December 2007 release - has revealed the 'Broadchurch' star once told her she loves to try to keep in shape by following her on-screen exercise tips.
Natalie said: "Last year, I was quite drunk and I'm obsessed with Olivia Colman, so I went up to her and I was going on and on at her.
"Anyway, I saw her at the premiere of [stage show] 'Edward Scissorhands' and I said, 'I'm so sorry, Olivia, do you remember the awards?' And she went, 'Yeah, I was a bit p***ed,' and I said, 'So was I, but I'm pleased you were, too.'
"And she was there talking to me and was saying, 'I've done your fitness video. You're brilliant!'
"It was quite funny. She's such a lovely lady."
But Olivia, 41, is unlikely to be buying any new fitness DVDs by Natalie as the 31-year-old star - who plays Sonia Fowler in the BBC One soap - insists she will never do another one again.
She added to heat magazine: "The DVDs were big mistakes. They weren't good things to do, they were just jobs really."
