Max George wants role in British soap opera

Max George wants a role in a British soap opera.
The former Wanted singer - who's appeared in the US TV show 'Glee' - has confirmed he's hunting a role in one of the UK's iconic shows and has been busily sending in audition tapes from the comfort of his home in Los Angeles.
Max - who was previously engaged to former 'Cornonation Street' actress Michelle Keegan - shared: "I'm really happy out here and 'Glee' was one of my first auditions.
"To get that and be hanging around people such as Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison has been the best experience for me."
However, Max confesses his misses some home comforts and is very keen to land a role in one of the big soaps in the UK.
He explained to The Sun newspaper: "I do miss my family though and I'm still auditioning for roles in the UK. I'd be up for being in a soap, definitely."
What's more, he's keen to move away from having to perform an American accent.
He confessed: "I've always been a big fan of [soaps] and I won't have to perform an American accent."

Kanye West ‘refused to chat to Jonathan Ross’

Kanye West refused to speak to Jonathan Ross after appearing on his show.
The 37-year-old rapper agreed to appear on 'The Jonathan Ross Show' on ITV to perform 'Only One', but rather than having a chat with the talk show host, Kanye - who's married to reality TV star Kim Kardashian West - is reported to have sprawled on his back in silence.
Jonathan then went and sat beside the hip-hop icon, joking: "If you want to spoon I don't mind. It's not as big as Kim's but it is all yours."
However, Kanye refused to budge and when he did get to his feet, he left the studio in a hurry.
An insider explained to The Sun newspaper: "It was all very odd.
"Kanye was only there to perform and not have a proper chat but he wouldn't even say two words to Jonathan. It was very funny when Jonathan got on the ground and lay next to him."
In another recent appearance, Kanye broke down in tears during a sit-down chat with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe.
The controversial star became overwhelmed with emotion when he described his last meeting with Louise Wilson, who he described as "the greatest fashion designer of all time".

Dan Osborne gets daughter’s name tattooed on his torso

Dan Osborne has had the name of his baby daughter Ella tattooed on his torso.
'The Only Way Is Essex' star and his 'EastEnders' actress partner Jacqueline Jossa welcomed their baby into the world on February 15, and body art enthusiast Dan has wasted little time getting the name of his newborn inked on his right side, just below that of his 13-month-old son Teddy, his child with ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin.
Dan - who had the tattoo done at In Ink We Trust in South-East London by his friend Martin McMurray - took to Instagram to display his new inking and captioned it: "Thank you SO much @tattoo_mart for tattooing Ella on my ribs underneath Teddy. Love it!! (sic)"
Since the arrival of his new baby, a number of Dan's 'Towie' co-stars has paid him and his newborn a visit, including Danielle Armstrong.
The blonde beauty shared a cute snap of her cuddling Ella and posted it on her Twitter account, with the caption: "Loved having cuddles yesterday with beautiful baby girl Ella. So happy for @DannyOO @jacquelineMjoss #BabyEllaapic (sic)"

TFI Friday to return for anniversary special

'TFI Friday' is set to return for an anniversary special.
The former host Chris Evans blatantly hinted that the Channel 4 entertainment show - which was on the air from 1996 to 2000 - will be revived for a live 90-minute special in June to mark its 20th anniversary.
Speaking on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Chris said: "If it were to come back live on Channel 4 on June 12 at 9pm, 90 minutes up from an hour. If that were to happen, for example."
The show originally aired on Friday evenings and was hosted by Chris for five series, with the presenter leaving once he discovered that the sixth series would be the final one.
It is no surprise that Chris is keen on reviving the show, after he admitted to Zoe Ball that he would be "completely bang up" for its return.
Speaking last year, he shared: "Channel 4 have asked us to do a TFI Friday 20th anniversary show and/or run next year.
"I was completely bang up for it until I did the maths last week and had to phone them and say it's only 19 years next year, it's actually 20 years the year after. I think they still want to go for it and just hope no one notices."

Kevin Spacey wants to make House of Cards blooper reel

Kevin Spacey wants to make a 'House of Cards' blooper reel.
The 55-year-old actor confessed he and co-star Robin Wright have so much fun making the Netflix original series that they're constantly filming new takes and have hours worth of footage of them messing around on set.
Speaking at the world premiere of the third season of the show at London's Empire Leicester Square, he told BANG Showbiz: "Yeah, we have a great time. We haven't done a blooper reel but I think we should at some point because there's a lot of them. There's probably thirteen hours of blooper reel."
The 'American Beauty' star spoke about playing US President Frank Spencer in the hit political drama and admitted he enjoys having no idea what his character is going to do next.
Asked if he enjoys playing a man with no morals, he said: "I disagree. He doesn't have your morals or your rules but he's got his own and the great thing is that there's a lot I don't know about him.
"That's sort of the fun, is showing up every day and seeing where the story's going, where the script's going and what gets revealed about him. It's more interesting what I don't know than what I do know."
Spacey also revealed his on-stage experience prepared him for the way in which Frank speaks directly to the camera during the show, in the same way actor Matthew Broderick did in 1987 film 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'.
He explained: "Well, I have the experience in the theatre of having done 'Richard III' and actually many people may not know what that refers to is that Shakespeare created direct address.
"I know some people think Ferris Bueller created direct express but he did not ... So that's when you turn to the audience and share what the character's going to do, sort of making them your co-conspirators."
'House of Cards' season three is available to watch on Netflix now.

Gemma Atkinson to be ‘Del Boy’ of Emmerdale

Gemma Atkinson will be the "Del Boy" of 'Emmerdale'.
The former 'Hollyoaks' actress is set to star in her first scenes in the ITV soap next month and has revealed her character Carly will be similar to wheeler dealer Derek Trotter from the classic sitcom 'Only Fools and Horses'.
She said: "She sells stuff out of the back of a van, dodgy stuff like perfume that's not really perfume.
"She's like the Del Boy of the Dales!"
Carly - who is veteran 'Emmerdale' actor Tony Audenshaw's character Bob Hope's long-lost daughter - will arrive in the village on the day she's due to get married and has compared her first scenes to Jennifer Aniston's first appearance in 'Friends', when her character Rachel shows up at a coffee shop in her wedding dress after leaving her fiancé at the alter.
Gemma told The Sun newspaper: "It reminded me of Rachel in 'Friends'! It's nice to have a grand entrance, but it was freezing in all the snow."
The 30-year-old beauty also admitted she is preparing for a backlash from fans as she claims Carly is going to cause nothing but trouble on her arrival.
Gemma added: "She's complex and has very bitchy and nasty streaks."

Dan Osborne interviewed by police

Dan Osborne has been interviewed by the police following domestic abuse claims.
The 'Only Way Is Essex' star - who has just welcomed baby daughter Ella with his girlfriend Jacqueline Jossa - was reportedly accused by former flame Megan Tomlin, with whom he has a young son Teddy, after he allegedly physically and verbally abused her during arguments over the holiday period, The Sun newspaper reports.
A police spokesperson said: "A 23-year-old man from Barking voluntarily attended a pre-arranged police interview on February 23. The investigation remains ongoing."
It is thought that the television personality - who already spoke to police last week about the allegations - is set to deny the claims.
Referring to Megan's complaint, a spokesperson said: "Police were contacted at around 12.30pm on January 30 with reports of historic domestic incidents. Investigations are ongoing."
Meanwhile, earlier this week, a source close to the star revealed "no charges" had been brought against him.
A source said: "Police have been in touch with him but he hasn't been questioned and no charges have been brought.
"They are trying to reach a compromise, but it could end up in court."

Nev Schulman wants UK version of Catfish

Nev Schulman wants to make a UK version of 'Catfish'.
The 30-year-old television personality - who presents the US version of the hit show - believes the Great British public's love of dating app Tinder would be a perfect platform for the show to find deceptive lovers.
He said: "We definitely want to do a UK show.
"We could catch our first 'Tinderfish' with you guys."
And Nev - who himself fell for an internet lover that turned out to be middle aged woman - has admitted he always has to remind himself of two things before he begins to track down someone's love interest.
He added to The Sun newspaper: "Every time I start an episode I have to remind myself of two things. One, that as crazy and obvious as it may seem, that the situations these people are in aren't happening or aren't happening as they think it is, it is very real to them. It's something serious to them.
"They wouldn't go on TV if they didn't really care, if they didn't want to meet this person because they feel strongly for them.
"But then I also have to remind myself that I was that hopeless romantic, desperately in love with some girl who was ridiculously perfect. That's how I keep my head on straight."
The new series returns to MTVUK on Monday (02.03.15).

Jake Quickenden joins The Dreamboys

Jake Quickenden has joined male strip troupe The Dreamboys.
The former 'X Factor' contestant and 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' runner-up is to perform a three-track set as part of a special vocal guest appearance on the famous male strip group's nationwide 'Where Dreams Become Reality' tour.
He said: "I'm really excited to be heading on the road with The Dreamboys to peform some of my favourite songs this June. It will be a chance for fans to catch as sneak preview of what to expect from my own tour later this year."
The 26-year-old hunk - who is to embark on his own 'Laid Bare' UK tour in July - will open The Dreamboys' shows in Guildford, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Stoke-on-Trent.
Jake will be replacing 'Geordie Shore' star Gary 'Gaz' Beadle on those legs of the tour because of the reality star's filming commitments.
However, fans will still be able to catch Gaz at The Dreamboys' dates in Cardiff, Glasgow, Llandudno, Brighton, Newcastle and Dunfermline while 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Dan Osborne is also set to join the troupe on tour.
