Jake Shakeshaft’s shock exit from The Voice

Fans have been left reeling after Jake Shakeshaft was evicted from 'The Voice'.
The remaining hopefuls were whittled down from 32 to just 12 in the knock-out rounds, which took place on Saturday (14.03.15) and Sunday (15.03.15), with the former contestant - who hails from Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire - booted off by mentor will.i.am.
But the 19-year-old singer - who was one of the frontrunners on the BBC One show before his shock exit, having amassed over three million views of his blind audition on YouTube - isn't worried and thinks he could even top the winning act in the charts.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "It's all about marketability. If the label can't do anything with you, even if you've won, it's going to be a struggle. The general public have to like you. They might vote for you to win but would they buy your album? That's the question.
"I may not have made the live shows but I've picked up just as many followers as the people who have. I've got more views on YouTube than them."
Ricky Wilson's Stevie McCrorie, 29, is favourite to win, with odds of 2/1 whilst Tom Jones' Lara Lee, also 29, is least favourite, with her odds at 66/1.
'The Voice' will continue next Saturday (21.03.15) where the remaining contestants will battle against each other to survive the next round.

Andrew Flintoff wins Australia’s I’m A Celebrity

Andrew Flintoff has won Australia's version of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here'.
The cricket star was crowned King of the Jungle after seeing off competition from Australian Football League player Barry Hall and TV personality Chrissie Swan.
Speaking to the show's host Chris Brown after his win, he said: "'As an Englishmen winning something in Australia, it's unheard of.
"That walk from the trial gate to here was one of longest walks of my life. I don't like insects, snakes, the dark."
During his time in the South African jungle, he drank a concoction of fermented milk and cockroaches as well as dining on a rat's tail.
Speaking about the experience, he added: "I'm shocked. I'm stuck for words a little bit. I never expected to get this far. It's a lot to take in really. I am shocked, surprised, pleased. I've got a lot of emotions going round at the minute. I'm humbled...
"I've just tried to take everything out of it, no point moping around. I love meeting new people it's been nice. Friendships get accelerated in the camp, so I dropped my guard and spoke about things."
Whilst on the programme, Andrew opened up about suffering from depression and giving up alcohol.
For winning the show, 100,000 Australian dollars will be donated to his chosen charity, the McGrath Foundation.

Mark Gatiss planning League of Gentlemen anniversary reunion

Mark Gatiss is to reunite with his 'League of Gentlemen' co-stars to celebrate the comedy show's 20th anniversary.
The actor-and-writer has revealed he and and the BBC TV series' other co-creators, Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith and Jeremy Dyson, want to get together and do something to mark the special date.
Although the programme doesn't turn 20 for four years, Gatiss says they have to start planing for it now otherwise the foursome will be so busy they won't find the time to commit to the project.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph newspaper, he said: "We want to do something for the 20th anniversary of the television show, which is four years off, but if we start planning now, we might actually do it!"
'The League of Gentlemen' was famous for its dark humour and multitude of bizarre characters, including murderous married shop owners Tubbs and Edward Tattsyrup, evil butcher Hilary Briss, pen-obsessed Job Centre Restart Officer Pauline Campbell-Jones and transgender taxi driver Barbara Dixon.
Gatiss is currently putting the finishing touches to a new 'Doctor Who' script for the next series of the sci-fi show and he is promising the adventure for Peter Capaldi's Time Lord will be one of his scariest yet.
Discussing his new 'Doctor Who' script, the 48-year-old star - whose previous stories include 'Night Terrors' and 'Cold War' among others - said: I'm in the midst of that right now ... I'm hoping to finish the script tonight. It has been a tough nut to crack, but I'm delighted with how scary it is. I can't say any more than that."
Gatiss is also excited about this year's 'Sherlock' Christmas special which will see Benedict Cumberbatch's interpretation of the detective placed in Victorian England and the screenwriter has been surprised by some fans' reaction to the character being returned to his original era.
He said: "It's Victorian, for reasons which become apparent, so it was great fun to go back and un-invent the things we'd updated. Unbelievably, people have even asked me, 'How can Sherlock exist in an age without iPhones?' I guess that's great because it means our version has worked so well, they can't imagine it any other way."

Lily James wants to return to Downton Abbey

Lily James "definitely" wants to come back to 'Downton Abbey' for the next series.
The 25-year-old actress is currently starring in her biggest ever film with her role as Cinderella in Disney's new live action version of the famous rags-to-riches story.
Although more movies beckon, Lily insists her heart will always be with 'Downton Abbey' and she hopes she'll be starring as Lady Rose MacClare again in the upcoming sixth series.
She said: "I'm really hoping to come back. I feel like it's definitely going to happen. But it depends on what Julian Fellowes writes and all sorts of things."
There were doubts that Lady Rose would be in the new run of episodes as viewers saw get married and start a new life in America, but executive producer Gareth Neame insisted although the aristocrat will be living in the US she will be making a "home visit" in series six.
Actor Hugh Bonneville, who plays the Earl of Grantham in the period drama, last week gave some insight into the plot of the next series, which will hit screens later this year.
He said: "We're in 1925, so the series has nudged on another six months, and Lady Rose has been on her honeymoon and she's now moved to America."
"Tom Branson (Allen Leech) has gone to Boston, and some faces that we met towards the end of the fifth season may or may not be coming over the horizon to break or make the hearts of Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) and Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael) and people like that ... We'll be doing a ninth episode which will come out at Christmas."

Leigh Francis doesn’t want US success

Leigh Francis doesn't want to become famous in the US because he enjoys going on "normal" holidays there.
The comedian is known throughout Britain for his alter ego Keith Lemon and his TV shows 'Celebrity Juice', 'Bo' Selecta' and 'The Keith Lemon Sketch Show'.
At the moment Leigh is unknown in America and he wants to keep it that way so he can continue to enjoy breaks there with his wife Jill Carter and there two children as regular people.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, he said: "It's lovely when you go to a foreign country and you can be normal again. That's why I go on holiday to America quite a lot, because it's one of the places where nobody knows me.
"If the Americans said, 'We want your programme,' I obviously wouldn't say no! But I'm not going to chase it. There's nothing wrong with English TV. It's the best telly in the world."
Leigh usually never gives interviews or appears at showbiz events out of character and he insists Keith's wacky persona is far more interesting than his real personality anyway.
He added: "I don't want anyone to know who I really am - I prefer being Keith. Everyone goes a bit weird when it's just me. They look at me as if springs are boinging out of my head. Because you only know Keith Lemon, you don't know Leigh Francis, so it's weird."

Liz McClarnon is ready for children

Liz McClarnon is ready to have children.
The Atomic Kitten singer - whose bandmates Kerry Katona and Natasha Hamilton have nine children between them - previously insisted she didn't want a family yet, but she admitted she is now determined to have kids soon.
Liz - who has been dating an unnamed man for nine months - said: "I have always said I'm not keen on having children but I want babies now.
"I genuinely hate to admit it, but it is a biological thing. I'm 33 and have seen the Kittens have babies for a long time.
"I've told them I want to have a child and they haven't stopped joking around with me - they can't wait to see the fear on my face when I fall pregnant."
And the 'Whole Again' singer has been upfront with her partner about her desire to have children.
She added to Closer magazine: "Friends have been laughing, saying my new boyfriend could be the one to thaw my ice queen reputation.
"He knows I want kids - I like to lay down the law and he knows I am heading down that road."

Michelle Keegan: I felt like an ‘imposter’

Michelle Keegan used to feel like an "imposter".
The 27-year-old actress felt inadequate next to the experiences of her colleagues on 'Coronation Street' when she first joined the soap as Tina McIntyre in 2008.
She admitted: "I used to feel like an imposter. I'd listen to others in the 'Corrie' green room talking about their experiences and other acting roles and I'd think to myself, 'I'm going to get found out.' "
Despite establishing herself as an actress since then, Michelle - who left the soap last year when her character was murdered - admits being invited to glamorous celebrity events with her fiance Mark Wright still leaves her stunned.
She said: "I think, 'Why am I here?' It's so hard to get your head around. I've grown up watching people that I've now met and sat on tables with at events - people like Taylor Swift. I feel so lucky."
However, despite mixing in showbiz circles, the brunette beauty insists her life is still as "normal" as it was before she found fame.
She told HELLO! magazine: "But as soon as it's over, I go home and my life is normal again. Nothing has changed. I still have the same group of friends and go to the same places. These are such pinch-me moments."

Michelle Keegan nervous about new role

Michelle Keegan is nervous about her new role.
The 27-year-old actress has confessed she is worried about what fans and critics will say about her performance when she returns to TV screens in the new BBC drama 'Ordinary Lies', ten months after leaving 'Coronation Street'.
She said: "I felt there was so much pressure after leaving Corrie. I knew I had to make the right decision about my first role.
"Everyone was waiting to see what I did and getting ready to judge me if I made a mistake.
"I am really nervous about how it does in the ratings. I do feel a lot of pressure but I just hope it does well.
"But I know the producers and BBC are very happy with the outcome so hopefully the viewers will like it too."
The brunette beauty - who played Tina McIntyre on the popular ITV soap - wants to make her new on screen persona, Tracy, as different as possible from her previous "feisty" character.
She explained to the Daily Star newspaper: "There are a few similarities to Tina as she is a young, northern, feisty girl but that was inevitable. The storyline is completely different and gritty.
"I was conscious of making Tracy different from Tina. They kept wanting me to put my hair up in a bun and I didn't want to because that's what Tina did.
"I was constantly aware in the beginning of trying to do things differently from Tina but as filming went on I got so involved in the role I didn't think about it."
Michelle stars in the new series - which has been produced by the creators of 'Happy Valley' - alongside Jason Manford, Jo Joyner, Mackenzie Crook and Max Beesley.

Jeremy Clarkson bust up ruined Top Gear producer’s life

The BBC producer who was reportedly punched by 'Top Gear' host Jeremy Clarkson claims the altercation has ruined his life.
Oisin Tymon has been targeted by the show's fans and even received death threats following the suspension of the 54-year-old star from the series after he allegedly punched the assistant producer, 36, when he was told there was no food available following a shoot in Newcastle.
Although Jeremy - who is said to have been intoxicated during the incident - was suspended last week, it is Oisin who believes his job is now in jeopardy.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: " He is terrified that he might lose the job he loves and has been doing for the past six years.
"All he wants to do is to get back to work. Oisin loves the show.
"He loves working on Top Gear and has never had an issue before this incident - which came out of the blue and was caused by a drunk man.
"He is just terrified that he is going to lose his job and career that he has worked really hard for because of Jeremy Clarkson's temper."
However, Oisin - who was forced to go to A&E after the "fracas" - has no interest in filing assault charges against the presenter and is only concerned with staying part of the popular driving series.
The source explained: "He is a guy who is not interested in the limelight.
"He is mortified by the whole thing and the thing he is most concerned about is losing his job, which is really important to him."
Meanwhile, Jeremy - who is said to have reported the incident to BBC bosses himself - has insisted he didn't punch Oisin.
An insider said: "It seems he knew he'd done wrong and wanted to take control of the situation before it leaked.
"In his mind it was just pushing and shoving. He thinks this has been blown out of all proportion."
The BBC - who have pulled the final three episodes of the current series of 'Top Gear' - are planning an inquiry into the incident.
Jeremy also poked fun at himself by changing his Twitter biography to read: "I am probably a presenter of BBC2 motoring show, Top Gear".
