Mel B has reportedly been axed from 'The X Factor'.
The former Spice Girl, who made her debut on the ITV series last year, is said to have been informed by Simon Cowell that her contract is unlikely to be renewed.
A source said: "Bosses are evolving 'The X Factor' and it has been decided Mel won't return."
Producers are now looking for a replacement for the 39-year-old star before the next series kicks off.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "Simon and the producers are now looking for a replacement for Mel. If they fail to find a suitable candidate there is a very small chance she could be back."
Simon recently hinted that both he and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will be back.
Asked which of last year's judges would be returning, Simon said: "Cheryl and me are fine."
But Louis Walsh thinks his time is up.
He said previously: "I think I'm done with 'X Factor', honestly. My day job is a manager, I've kind of neglected that. I want to get back to being a manager."
The show's executive producer Richard Holloway revealed a number of changes would be taking place ahead of the new series.
He said: "There will be some exciting changes. The name of the show will stay the same but we are looking at the format and the judges.
"There will be some surprises this year. But I can't go into detail."

Jamie's glamorous co-star and friend Rosie Fortescue also has her own bespoke blue eCig.
The fashionista's e-cig was designed by celebrity jewellers, Crux London, and has been created with 22k gold plate.
Rosie posted a picture on Facebook of her posing with the e-cigarette as she got ready to head out with friends for a night out.

'Jane The Virgin' star Gina Rodriguez gets asked if she's really a virgin all the time.
The 30-year-old actress plays religious 23-year-old hotel worker Jane Gloriana Villanueva who accidentally becomes artificially inseminated with her boss' sperm in the comedy series.
Since taking the part Gina admits total strangers have started asking her about her sex life.
Gina told Stylist magazine: "People ask me about my sex life all the time. Everyone wants to know if I'm really a virgin. But hey, I'm 30! Sometimes I'll walk into a room and someone will shout, 'Look, it's the virgin!' It's wildly inappropriate but I can see where their heart is."
Gina - whose parents are Puerto Rican - is very proud of the show because it offers an "authentic" perspective on Latino Americans.
The Golden Globe Best Actress winner said: "The show is an authentic take on Latino Americans, previous comedies have struggled to capture that perspective. When I was growing up there weren't many girls who looked like me. There were no women from Latino backgrounds who were lead roles on shows or who weren't overly-sexualised.
"Jane has changed all that. I want to take roles that open people's eyes about minorities."

Stereo Kicks think Louis Tomlinson would make a brilliant 'X Factor' judge.
The eight-piece boy band got to know the One Direction hunk - who shot to fame when he was put into the group on the 2010 series of the talent show - when he was a regular visitor to the programme last year, and they found he always dispensed good advice.
Group member Barclay Beales said: "I think he'd do a good job. He's been through it. He's quite funny isn't he. He'd be honest as well we reckon. He's become part of one of the biggest boy bands in the world and he's gone through the shows. So he knows how it works."
His bandmates added: "When we were on the show One Direction used to come down a lot when Simon (Cowell) was there on a Friday. Louis would ask if we were getting ready for show and he used to come down, sit on the panel and watch. So yeah we reckon he'd do really, really well at it."
The group, who came fifth on last year's 'X Factor' have also sought advice from the show's new host, former runner-up Olly Murs.
Speaking to Darryl Morris on Liverpool radio station Radio City 3, James Graham said: "I spoke to him about the Essex connection for about five minutes. Then he just sort of gave us a bit of advice on how to hold yourself on the show. How to keep your mind and to not go crazy with it because it's such an intense situation. We were watching his sound check , he was the best."

Vanessa White wants to be a TV presenter like Rochelle Humes.
The 25-year-old star is very proud of her Saturdays bandmate Rochelle for making the transition from music to television with jobs on 'This Morning' and 'Ninja Warrior UK'.
Vanessa is now ambitious to step onto the small screen herself.
She said: "I love watching Rochelle and Marvin present, I'm so proud of them and they are doing so well. It's making her happy and it's great to see that.
"It would be interesting to do something like that too. I think that's more Rochelle's bag but I would like to give it a go."
Rochelle co-presents 'This Morning' with her husband Marvin Humes when the regular hosting duos are unavailable and their husband and wife act has proved to be a hit with viewers.
Vanessa also loved watching fellow bandmate Frankie Bridge compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and she would be up for reality TV if the right offer came in.
Speaking at the Florence & Fred Autumn Winter collection event in London today (21.04.15), she told BANG Showbiz "I also loved watching Frankie on 'Strictly...' She inspired me to want to try out ballroom actually. If the right reality show came up then maybe I'd go for it. I wouldn't rule it out and I think it could be interesting to see what comes up."

Ricky Wilson is dating his stylist from 'The Voice'.
The Kaiser Chiefs singer has embarked on a relationship with his personal stylist Grace Vito several months after splitting from his last girlfriend, TV producer Lesley Williams.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Ricky and Grace have known each other for a long time. They got close last year after his relationship with Lesley broke down. They've had to be sensitive about going public but he's completely loved-up."
Ricky and Grace had one of their first public dates at McBusted's gig at The O2 earlier this month and the loved-up couple are now are on holiday in the Caribbean.
A representative for Ricky has confirmed the romance, saying: "There was no crossover. Ricky and Lesley split in 2014 but chose to keep the matter private."
Grace has been Ricky's stylist since he became a mentor on the talent show in 2013. Apart from being his stylist on the show, she also spent time with the 'Oh My God' hitmaker, working on Kaiser Chiefs' video for 'My Life' last year.

Jeremy Clarkson's last 'Top Gear' scenes will be shown on the BBC later this year.
Kim Shillinglaw, controller of BBC Two and BBC Four, said the unused footage, though incomplete, is likely to air this summer.
She said: "No way would I want the available material not to be seen by viewers".
The BBC dropped Jeremy in March following a fracas with 'Top Gear' producer Oisin Tymon.
The row, which took place in a North Yorkshire hotel, was said to have occurred because no hot food was provided following a day's filming.
After an internal investigation, BBC director general Tony Hall confirmed the TV host's contract would not be renewed.
Jeremy later revealed that he thought he probably had cancer at the time he hit 'Top Gear' producer Tymon.
The 55-year-old car enthusiast later said that the incident came on his "most stressful day ... in 27 years at the BBC" - but that other people facing stress "manage to cope better than (he) did".
While a replacement for his 'Top Gear' post hasn't been confirmed yet, Sue Perkins has been named the bookie's favourite to replace him, followed by Dermot O'Leary and Jodie Kidd.
The news prompted a barrage of abusive tweets for the 'Great British Bake Off' host, and she later quit Twitter.

Nigella Lawson is set to host her first British TV show since her court case with her former assistants.
The 55-year-old chef - who last appeared on UK screens with 'Nigellissima' in 2012 - will present 'Simply Nigella' on BBC Two, a series focusing on 'a new pared-down approach to cooking and eating', rather than her usual decadent take on dishes.
Nigella said: "It's about food that makes our life easier, that makes us feel better, more alive and less stressed."
The cook appeared as a judge on 'The Taste' on Channel 4 in 2014, but this new show will mark Nigella's first solo venture with the broadcaster since the breakdown of her marriage to Charles Saatchi and the subsequent court case in 2013, in which she was forced to divulge details of the pair's tumultuous relationship and her own past drug use.
Nigella was at the centre of a very public court case in 2013, after she and Charles accused their former assistants of spending £685,000 on credit cards given to them for work purposes.
Months earlier, the couple's marriage had come to an abrupt end after Charles was pictured with his hand on his wife's throat in a central London restaurant.
But Lisa and Francesca Grillo were acquitted of fraud by a jury. It came despite the fact that Francesca, 35, had used her family card to spend £8,000 on designer clothes in a single day.

Stephanie Davis has officially signed a new contract with 'Hollyoaks'.
Fans will be glad to hear the Liverpool-born actress - who has been playing Sinead O'Connor on the show for six years - will remain in the Channel 4 soap until at least next year.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, the 22-year-old actress said: "I've just signed a new contract and I'm really happy. I've been in the show since I was 16 and I'm 22 now. I've kind of grown up here, which has been mental."
Stephanie also revealed she'd like her alter ego Sinead to embark on a romance with Ziggy Roscoe - who plays Fabrizio Santino - because he's such a hunk.
The brunette beauty said: "I know Sinead is in love with Ste at the moment and about to have his baby, but I would love to a new interest. Fabrizio, who plays Ziggy, would be great, because he's hot. I could just sit around and look at him all day."
Before Sinead can think about having a new romance, the character will be having a baby and Stephanie did a lot of research ahead of the scenes.
She said: "This is the second time I've had to give birth in 'Hollyoaks' but I think I did it better this time. My trick is to watch 'One Born Every Minute' to make it look as real as possible. We both love the fact Ste and Sinead are having a baby together. There will be lots of drama in the weeks leading up to the birth but you'll all have to wait and see."
