Anne Kirkbride's 'Coronation Street' funeral will be a "wonderful send-off".
The actress - who played Deirdre Barlow in the ITV soap - will be buried in an episode airing on Monday (13.07.15) and William Roache, whose character Ken Barlow was married to Deirdre, thinks viewers will be pleased with her send-off.
He said: "From Annie's point of view, she's had a wonderful send-off - both as a person and on screen. Everybody loved Annie, they really did - and the stories we're telling really show that and respect it. It's been great to act out."
The soap legend - who has been in 'Corrie' since its first episode in 1960 - went on to reveal that Ken "loses it" on the day of the funeral and lashes out at his daughter Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), blaming her for not getting the chance to say goodbye to his wife.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, he added: "For Ken, he's got three things going on: his grief at losing Deirdre, his anger at Tracy, and then (his son) Peter failing to turn up to be a pall-bearer. I'm afraid Ken loses it in the church and really goes for Tracy.
"Deirdre was always in the middle sorting them out and would always defend Tracy. But the way Ken sees it, Deirdre spent a lot of time trying to excuse Tracy's behaviour when it was inexcusable. It caused Deirdre so much grief that it makes him very angry."

Harry Amelia Martin and Sam Kay were evicted from 'Big Brother' tonight (10.07.15).
The 22-year-old dominatrix and the 27-year-old personal trainer, who was both nominated alongside Jack McDermott and Chloe Wilburn this week, were booted off the show in a surprise double elimination.
Glamour model Harry became the eleventh housemate to leave after receiving the fewest number of votes from the public.
Speaking in her post-eviction interview with host Emma Willis, she admitted: "I was expecting it, on the outside not a lot of people like me but I have friends that will take a bullet for me so them out there can f**k off."
Asked about her special bond with Nick Henderson, she said: "Me and Nick agreed under the duvet that the house is not real life and you can't start a relationship, I would like to see where it progresses. Nick is a lovely person but all I hear is people being together in the house and then it going t*ts up."
Big Brother then asked the housemates to select another nominee to be evicted, each of whom had a price on their heads that would be added to the total price fund.
Sam wasn't very surprised by the decision because she had £15,000 on her head, while Chloe had £10,000 and Jack had just £1,000.
The Scottish contestant said: "What can I say, I wasn't expecting that, I understand why they did it. I knew it would be me 100 percent and it was a combination of me and also because I have the highest amount on my head."
The live final will take place next Thursday (16.07.15).

Spencer Matthews is being lined up for 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here'.
The 'Made In Chelsea' star is reportedly set to take a place in the jungle for the next series.
A source said: "This deal has been in the offing for a while now as ITV think Spencer will be absolutely perfect for the show. He couldn't do it last year for various reasons, but everything's fallen into place and he is going to be on the next series.
"Spencer is a real love-hate figure on 'Made in Chelsea'. He's charming and good-looking, but he's a bit of a villain really, because he always cheats on his girlfriends and often betrays his best mates. On top of that, he's incredibly posh."
And an insider has claimed the 25-year-old television personality's appearance on the show would be "brilliant viewing".
They added to The Sun newspaper: "He could go on I'm a Celeb and become absolutely hated, especially if he spends his time trying to come on to anything that moves.
"But it might give the viewers a chance to see a different side to him. Either way, seeing a posh Eton-educated Chelsea boy eating bugs and being dunked in slime is going to make brilliant viewing."

James Lock will not be suspended from 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The 27-year-old television personality was accused of using a racist term but a spokesperson for the ITVBe show has confirmed they will be taking no further action.
In a statement, they said: "We have concluded our thorough investigation and are satisfied that no racial abuse took place during filming on Wednesday 1st July."
The investigation was launched when a person nearby allegedly heard James refer to some people as "black f******".
A spokesperson said at the time: "Any issues of this nature are obviously taken very seriously and a thorough investigation is already ongoing.
"The cast member concerned denies these allegations."
James had been suspended from the show previously when he was suspected of taking a class A drug and was later charged with possessing the class C drug ketamine.
He pleaded guilty to the charges and was allowed to return to the show three months later.
A source said at the time: "Lockie is an immensely popular chap with big story-lines but it is touch and go whether he stays on the show."

Gary Lineker has set up his own television production company.
The former footballer has revealed his company, Goalhanger Films, have already started producing sport documentaries for networks in the United Kingdom and all over the world.
He said: "I've always wanted to get involved in production and hopefully we can make some programmes that people enjoy.
"We've got one or two ideas in development that might appeal to both UK and international audiences, all with a sport focus, but not exclusively football."
And Gary hasn't gone into producing alone, getting support from former ITV Sport controller Tony Pastor.
Tony added: "Gary's always been interested in television production and he's been really involved in all our projects so far.
"He committed a huge amount of his time to our FA Cup documentary and it was great that it was really well received."
Goalhanger Films are currently working on three projects - one for ITV, 'Being Kevin Pietersen', a second, currently confidential, for BBC and one in partnership with Olympic gold medallist boxer Anthony Joshua.

'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here' bosses want to "break the bank" to secure Caitlyn Jenner for the next series.
The ITV show are reportedly keen to pay whatever they can to see the 65-year-old former Olympian - who was known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition - take her place in the jungle, following the success of Kellie Maloney's appearance on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Kellie did brilliantly on 'Celebrity Big Brother' and we think Cait will be must-see viewing in the Aussie bush. Plus we'd get some Kardashian gossip too.
"We want her. We've broken the bank before to get celebrities such as Janice Dickinson, Martina Navratilova and David Gest. So money won't be a problem."
If Caitlyn does make it into the jungle, she could be joined by the likes of 'The Only Way Is Essex's Ferne McCann, who recently admitted she would "love" to follow in the footsteps of the ITVBe show's Gemma Collins, who appeared in last year's series.
And 'Red Dwarf' star Craig Charles is also thought to be returning to the programme this year, after he exited last series early following a tragic family death.

Jamie Oliver's children think their mother is like Monica from 'Friends'.
Jools Oliver - who has three daughters, Poppy, 13, Daisy, 12 and Petal, six, and one son, Buddy, four, with the TV chef - has revealed her kids have likened her to the TV character played by Courteney Cox.
She shared to the Daily Star newspaper: "I would like to think it would be someone like Julia Roberts but I asked my children and they all said Monica ...
"[I think it has] something to do with my obsessive-compulsive disorder."
Meanwhile, Jamie previously revealed he was "averaging about three-and-a-half hours" of sleep a night for ten years.
He explained: "For the past decade I've been averaging about three-and-a-half hours a night. It got to a point this summer where I had to do something. I knew there was something wrong with me.
"On a fundamental level I wasn't functioning like a normal person. I'd sit down in the office, fall asleep and start dribbling. Not pretty. Not good.'"
And Jamie - who also revealed his sleeping pattern is now back to normal - believes his issue would have been taken more seriously if he had an addiction.
He shared: "I feel like I should be admitting to being an alcoholic - people get that. But my thing is not sleeping.
"I've got healthier and I've got more energy. I'm sharper in my head and more sober in the way I think."

Charlotte Crosby was questioned by police as a teenager.
The 'Geordie Shore' star has revealed she was taken in for questioning by cops following a drunken brawl with a friend during a night out.
She shared: "It was a typical drunken night and I was kicking off about something my boyfriend had done. I was ranting and I threw a glass and it smashed.
"Holly came over, trying to help me, and was saying, 'Charlotte, are you ok?' But she was doing it in a really annoying way, like she didn't mean it.
"I was p***ed out of my head and angry at the world and somehow ended up lashing out at her. We rolled around on the floor like a pair of old washerwomen having a brawl. I was so out of it."
The 25-year-old television personality went on to reveal she feared she would have been given a criminal record but says the police decided the fight was "overblown" and let her go.
Writing in an extract of her autobiography 'Me, Me, Me', obtained by The Sun newspaper, she recalled: "I was taken to the police station and informed that her parents wanted to press charges. Everyone has fights when they're teenagers but I knew I'd gone too far and was worried I'd get a criminal record.
"I ended up leaving Sixth Form because I felt so bad and couldn't handle the hassle I was getting."

Nick Grimshaw thinks Simon Cowell is a "diva".
In a jokey exchange with an 'X Factor' hopeful at auditions for the ITV show, Nick used the choice word to describe his boss and fellow judge.
He told the contestant: "I love a diva - that's why I signed up, so that I could work with Simon."
Throughout the auditions yesterday (09.07.15), the BBC Radio 1 DJ - who made his appearance alongside Simon, Rita Ora and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini - mocked his boss as he made a number of remarks to hopefuls who had their dreams dashed as they crashed out of the competition, the Daily Mirror newspaper reports..
He told one: "The good news is your girlfriend must love you if she thinks you can sing 'cause you really can't."
And added to another: "I'd love to go on a night out with you but I never want to hear you sing ever again."
Meanwhile, Simon recently defended his decision to hire the 30-year-old television personality as a judge on the talent show.
He said: "When I first appeared on TV, nobody knew who I was. I just ran a record label. I actually never even got paid the first time I did 'Pop Idol'. But I thought: God, this is amazing, I can sit on a show and find artists. It's fantastic.
"I have an issue with artists judging other artists. I would never allow a group of artists to run the record label. That would be crazy. You have to balance it up a bit."
