Claire Sweeney says becoming a mother has "completely changed" her life.
The 44-year-old star welcomed her first child, son Jaxon, with ex-boyfriend Daniel Reilly 10 months ago and admits her priorities have changed completely since his arrival.
She said: "He's one in September ... It's gone so fast! But I'm loving it, it's completely changed my life. It's like my life was so vacuous before, it's just brilliant ... He stood up for the first time this weekend!"
The former 'Brookside' actress split from Jaxon's father while she was pregnant and although they rekindled their relationship after he was born they called time on their relationship for good in January.
And Claire now has to rely on friends and family to help look after the tot while she's busy starring in the theatre production of 'Hairspray' but insists she gets to spend more time with him than most working mothers would.
She told ITV's 'Lorraine: "It's not easy [touring with a little one], but the benefit is that if I was working in an office I'd be leaving him at 8 or 9 o'clock in the morning, and not seeing him until six, so at least he can come with me everywhere.
"The only time I'll need someone to keep an eye on him is between seven and nine thirty at night and he's going down to bed then so I'll have a friend with me or he'll be with my mum."

Cami Li is planning to get "revenge" on Kirk Norcross.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' star will come face-to-face with her former fiance for the first time in two years in the new series of 'Ex On The Beach' and she admits she only agreed to take part so she could confront him for "spreading lies" about her.
She said: "I decided to go on this dating show because I knew in the back of my mind that he would be there and revenge is nothing but sweet.
"For two years he has been spreading lies about me. I left everything back home in Miami to be with this douche bag. Do you know what? He can go f**k himself!"
And the 28-year-old beauty insisted she has no desire to rekindle their romance.
She added: "I did not sign up for this show because I want to get back with him. I am here because I want revenge and I am going to get it."
It has been reported that 27-year-old Kirk had no idea Cami would be appearing on the show, instead expecting one of his former 'Only Way Is Essex' co-stars and lovers Lauren Pope and Amy Childs to be taking part.
When Cami arrived at the villa, Kirk is said to have punched a wall and was asked to leave.
'Ex On The Beach' returns to MTV on August 11.

Piers Morgan was axed from hosting 'Good Morning Britain' this week because he appears in a National Lottery advert.
The former CNN host had been due to cover for regular presenter Ben Shephard from Monday (13.07.15) until today (15.07.15) but ITV were forced to draft in Kate Garraway as strict rules about conflict of interest mean a star cannot present a news programme while making money from advertising at the same time.
A source said: "Piers was a great success when he last appeared on GMB and there have been ongoing discussions about him doing another stint.
"We arranged for him to stand in for Ben Shephard for the first three days this week, but then we realised he had accepted a big-money deal from the Lottery.
"If someone is presenting a news programme they can't also appear in adverts. Those are the rules."
While he missed out on this week's show, 'GMB' bosses are still keen for the 50-year-old star to return in the future.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Relations with Piers are still really amicable. He completely understood our position and we are really keen to get him back on the show in the near future.
"He's a great presenter, so he's always welcome -- as long as he hasn't got any ad work on!"
The lottery advert has been airing for the last two weeks and sees Piers playing a self-obsessed version of himself, wanting to launch a tourist attraction known as 'Piers' Pier'.
A narrator says at the end of the commercial: "Anyone can win the Lotto. Please don't let it be him."

Nervo are in talks with Simon Cowell to join 'Ultimate DJ'.
The 'You're Gonna Love Again' DJs - twin sisters Mim and Liv Nervo - have been signed up by the music mogul to join his latest talent show, which launches next spring.
Mim said: "We are talking to Simon Cowell because he wanted to meet us and he was really open about it.
"He said anyway we would like to be involved we can be.
"I've never watched a reality TV judges show, but they said you could judge or mentor but we haven't decided."
And while other artists on the electronic dance music scene are less than impressed with Simon's attempts to break into the market, the Australian sisters think it's a great move.
Liv told the Daily Star newspaper: "He's a marketing genius and wants to get involved in this scene.
"It's all about the DJ talent and the music and submitting tunes."
DJ Fresh - who collaborated with Rita Ora on 'Hot Right Now' - claims he too was approached but decided against it.
He said: "I didn't really feel it was something I wanted to be involved in."
And house music legend Tiesto believes the 'X Factor' format of the show isn't suited to the genre of music.
He explained: "I don't think it will ever work for Simon Cowell.
"The vocal aspect is what's missing. When you see someone sing good or bad that will never get boring.
"But you need an hour to DJ, not two minutes on TV."

The popular reality show - which first aired in 2005 - was axed by Sky in 2013 following nine series' but is now being brought back for a 10-part series on Lifetime.
Koulla Anastasi, director of programming for Lifetime at A+E Networks UK, said: "Lifetime is delighted to be working with Thumbs Up to bring the brand new revamped series of 'Britain's Next Top Model' to viewers next year, through this exclusive UK deal."
The "revamped" version of the show - which is set to start production in September - will reportedly feature "some of the UK's biggest names in fashion", although the judges for the series have not yet been revealed.
As part of the changes made to the show, bosses have decided to follow in the footsteps of 'America's Next Top Model' by introducing social media in order to give viewers a voice on who should survive the elimination process.
In the last series of the show in 2013, the line-up included models Elle Macpherson and Tyson Beckford along with singing star Dannii Minogue.
The show was responsible for the launch of Abbey Clancy's career after she finished as a runner-up in the 2006 series, going on to secure several lucrative modelling contracts alongside a victory on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

Sinitta has slammed Simon Cowell for choosing Nick Grimshaw as an 'X Factor' judge.
The 'So Macho' singer has made no secret of her desire to have one of the coveted slots on the panel and is baffled as to why her friend and former lover chose the BBC Radio 1 DJ ahead of her.
She said: "I beg Simon for a spot on the panel.
"I don't get his decision to choose Nick Grimshaw - he can't sing! How can he judge other singers?
"I think Simon ad Nick are good mates though, so he chose him to have a pal on the panel."
Despite this year's panel of Simon, Nick, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Rita Ora being finalised, Sinitta - who has two adopted children, Magdalena and Zac - won't give up on her dream of being a permanent fixture on the show.
She said: "I won't stop begging. My kids often bug me for things and won't stop until I give in. So that's the tactic I'm using."
The 51-year-old star will be back on this year's show to assist at Judges' Houses, and admits she plans to "shock" once again with an outrageous outfit.
She added to Closer magazine: "Oh I always have a trick or two up my sleeve. I love to shock."
