Julian Fellowes’ 65% sure on Downton Abbey movie

Julian Fellowes is "64.5 per cent" sure he'll write a 'Downton Abbey' movie in the future.
The 66-year-old screenwriter, who is the mastermind behind the hit period drama, has admitted he deliberately left the doors to the Yorkshire estate open slightly following its successful finale last month in case he decides to pen a film about the aristocratic Crawley family in the forthcoming years.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I'm completely up for a movie, I'd love to do a movie. I think it would be good fun but there are all sorts of things that have to be settled. The per cent chance of making the film is about 64.5."
And, although he's yet to make a solid decision on the film, Julian has admitted he's already got some ideas lined up.
He said: "I think I know what the spine of a story for a film would be. I think it would be fun, in a sense, because we'd be making it on a film budget."
However, the talented actor has "mixed feelings" about the prospect of the movie because of the potential pitfalls.
He said previously: "Normally they're not very good because the film producer says, 'Oh, it's not going to be anything like the series,' and of course what you want is for it to be exactly like the series. I hope we would avoid that error in doing one, but I do have mixed feelings about it."

Sally Whittaker recalls her real-life cancer troubles

'Coronation Street' actress Sally Whittaker has recalled how her on-screen cancer battle mirrored her real-life health troubles.
The 52-year-old star, who plays Sally Webster on the popular soap, has admitted that her diagnosis in 2010 was the worst and most surreal day of her life.
The mother-of-three said: "I was completely in denial and shock. It was really just the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me.
"You couldn't make it up. I remember saying to the doctor 'are you sure you haven't got this wrong? That is my character, not me'."
Sally admitted her husband Tim was a hugely supportive figure during her real-life cancer ordeal.
The actress - who has children Phoebe, 20, Sam, 18, and 12-year-old Hattie - told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Tim was just amazing. He is very calm and sorts everything and very strong inside. He was my rock. He just said, 'you know it is fine, you are going to be fine'. The way he explained it to the children was amazing.
"Hattie was only five. Tim made the children confident that everything was going to be OK. We said to them 'we have had a lovely life and this is just a blip'. Everyone has them.
"I was scared. You look at life, your children and the alternative is scary. I did have negative thoughts. But because Tim was so positive, I did think everything was going to be fine."

Simon Cowell doubts Chris Evans’ Top Gear credentials

Simon Cowell does not think Chris Evans is the right man to present 'Top Gear'.
The 56-year-old music mogul thinks the BBC should have given the coveted role to a superior driver, suggesting he would have been a better fit.
Simon explained: "Chris Evans wouldn't have been my choice, but good luck to them.
"I think you've got to have someone who can actually drive a car. I would've been amazing. I'd make my own show."
Meanwhile, Simon also criticised former 'X Factor' host Dermot O'Leary for recently claiming at the National Television Awards that 'Strictly Come Dancing' is his new favourite programme.
He said: "You say these things, trying to be a bit funny on the night and then you go off and think, 'I wish I didn't say that'.
"That might have been one of those occasions."
Simon's remarks come shortly after former 'Top Gear' host James May claimed the BBC had taken a risk in giving the job to Chris Evans.
He said: "I'd like to see Chris' 'Top Gear' do well. It's a ballsy call to continue it. I wouldn't want to be the one presenting it when we'd just finished, but there must be a way of reinventing it. We always said it would survive beyond us.
"I think the stories about Chris' version being in trouble might be an elaborate hoax, before it explodes onto our screens in brilliance."

Lauren Goodger’s alcohol ban

Lauren Goodger wants to give up alcohol for six months.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star, who has recently dropped four stone in weight, has put herself on a booze ban for half a year in the hope of gaining an even better body.
Writing in her new! magazine column, she said: "I've given myself a challenge - to quit booze for six months. I've never actually given up alcohol before, but I'm confident I can do it.
"I know it's going to be hard but I really want to get my body in the best shape ever and prove to people I take my fitness seriously. There are people out there who are expecting me to fail, but this is a lifestyle change for me and I want to become even fitter and stronger."
Meanwhile, since dropping five dress sizes, the brunette beauty has admitted her confidence has excelled so much that she'll happily trot around her house in her birthday suit.
Asked if her sex life has improved since losing weight, Lauren, who is dating former bad boy Jake McLean, exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's not that my sex life has improved, it's still the same, but you feel sexier.
"I know I look good now and I really like my body. And I even like walking round the house naked now."

EastEnders’ Shona McGarty wants ‘tacky wedding’ for Whitney Dean

EastEnders' Shona McGarty wants her alter-ego Whitney Dean to have a "really tacky wedding" in the near future.
The 24-year-old actress - who has played the vulnerable bar worker for eight years - is desperate for her character to walk down the aisle and get hitched but believes the nuptials will be outrageous and her dress will be covered in lights.
She explained: "I'd love Whitney to have a really tacky wedding. I'm going to put that out there and make it happen. I'd love to wear a big dress with lights on."
However, a wedding for Whitney looks a little while off yet as her relationship with ex-Army boy Lee Carter (Danny-Boy Hatchard) is set to crumble before her eyes after she develops feelings for her beau's father Mick (Danny Dyer).
And things are set to rack up a level in coming weeks when Whitney leans in for a smooch with the hunky pub landlord.
She said: "It will definitely have a huge impact on the Carters. I don't think Lee will be very impressed. If I found out one of my best friends had kissed my dad, I wouldn't be happy!"
And it's not just her relationship with Lee that will become fractured as her obsession with Mick will no doubt cause friction between her and his new wife Linda (Kellie Bright).
She added to InsideSoap magazine: "It's sure to jeopardise her relationship with Linda as well. It's all a bit cringey!"

Doctor Who series delayed until spring 2017

The tenth series of 'Doctor Who' has been delayed until spring 2017.
While last year was eventful for the titular Time Lord - with the exit of his companion Clara Oswald, played by Jenna Coleman - the next 12 months will see a break for fans of the BBC sci-fi drama.
What's more, showrunner Steven Moffat has quit and will be replaced by 'Broadchurch' creator Chris Chibnall.
Steven's final 12-part series will air in spring 2017 at which point he will hand over the keys to the Tardis to Chris.
Speaking of his decision to quit, Steven said his role in the series was "the best job in the universe" but added: "Feels odd to be talking about leaving when I'm just starting work on the scripts for season 10, but the fact is my timey-wimey is running out. While Chris is doing his last run of Broadchurch, I'll be finishing up on the best job in the universe and keeping the TARDIS warm for him. It took a lot of gin and tonic to talk him into this, but I am beyond delighted that one of the true stars of British Television drama will be taking the Time Lord even further into the future. At the start of season 11, Chris Chibnall will become the new showrunner of Doctor Who. And I will be thrown in a skip."
Show bosses considered airing six episodes this year and continuing the series in 2017 however the idea was scrapped.
But new showrunner Chris said Steven is set to go out with a "big bang" and it was revealed last month that he wants to bring back a number of monsters from the classic series, including the Sea Devils back to 'Doctor Who'.
Chris said: "Steven has been a dazzling and daring showrunner, and hearing his plans for 2017 it's clear he'll be going out with a band. Just to make my life difficult.
Meanwhile, it is expected there will still be a Christmas special in 2016.

Emma Willis: There will be a new CBB contestant

'Celebrity Big Brother' host Emma Willis has revealed a new contestant will enter the house "soon".
The pregnant TV presenter teased that the housemates will be joined by someone new any day now, during a chat with 'CBBBOTS' host Rylan Clark.
Speaking to Rylan on Friday (22.01.16) after Megan McKenna's eviction - she mused: "Who do you think it is?"
To which he replied: "I don't know but there's been a lot of rumours."
However Emma appeared to dampen rumours that the new celebrity will be Stephanie Davis' boyfriend Sam Reece.
The former 'Hollyoaks' star has formed a close friendship with Irish model Jeremy McConnell since entering the house and the pair have even ventured into the romance field, however many housemates have commented that Stephanie's long-term boyfriend would not be happy with their developing friendship.
And rumour is rife that 'CBB' bosses will amp up the drama by bringing Stephanie's boyfriend into the house.
However Emma appeared to agree that it would not be wise for Sam to go inside now, because it would put the couple's troubled relationship into the spotlight even more and make it a "mockery."
She said: "Everyone thinks it's Sam but I don't know, is the honest answer, oart of me is hopig it's not because I think it will make a bit more of a mockery of their relationship."

Ex on the Beach stars had to use plastic knives and folks during filming

The 'Ex on the Beach' stars were forced to use plastic knives and forks halfway through the fourth series of the show.
MTV bosses had no choice but to step in and dish out throwaway cutlery while filming the Portugal-based programme because they believed the amount of violence erupting on the show would result in damage to the villa.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Helen Briggs said: "Halfway through they had to give us plastic knives and forks."
Naomi Hedman cut her off and chimed in: "Scared about what we'd do! We even had plastic glasses."
But the 22-year-old stunner was slightly relieved about the plastic utensils because she thought she was part of a "conspiracy" as every time a chair was hurtled through the air in anger she wasn't too far away from the intended target.
She explained: "There was a conspiracy, I think they were trying to kill me off! The flying chair wasn't meant for me but I nearly got hit by one."
The new series of 'Ex on the Beach' airs on Tuesdays at 10pm on MTV.

Kate Wright eyes up I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! stint

Kate Wright is desperate to compete in the next series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!'.
The 'Only Way is Essex' star would happily snap up a whopping deal to take part in the jungle-based show because she doesn't mind scoffing rotten bugs and crawling through mouldy fish guts to bag some food for her camp mates.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I wouldn't go on 'The Jump' because everyone calls me calamity Kate because I always hurt myself. I couldn't do 'Strictly' because I can't dance but I'd go in the jungle because I wouldn't mind eating things. I do get squeamish but I'm very competitive."
Meanwhile, as Kate eyes up a gig on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!', her co-star James 'Arg' Argent is currently training for the forthcoming episode of 'The Jump'.
The blonde beauty said: "I feel for him a little bit. He's not really good with that kind of stuff but I hope he surprises us and does amazingly well. I think Arg is against some Olympians so he's got to work hard."
And it seems Arg is already struggling to master the slopes as he's been forced to temporarily pull out after injuring his knee.
