Trent Reznor teases new Nine Inch Nails music

Trent Reznor has teased the possibility of new Nine Inch Nails music.
The 51-year-old rocker first teased fans at the end of last year when he took to Twitter to claim that the band would be releasing new music at some point in 2016, along with "other stuff too".
He tweeted at the time: "New NIN coming in 2016. Other stuff, too. (sic)"
The ‘Closer’ hitmakers – completed by Robin Finck, Alessandro Cortini, and Ilan Rubin – are still yet to release any new music since Trent first teased the possibility, though he insists that the year "is not over yet" and fans should be patient.
One restless fan eventually took to the Instagram comments on a photo the musician posted on Wednesday (05.10.16) to ask: "What’s the word on new NIN for 2016 like you said?"
To which Trent simply replied: "2016 is not over yet."
And the continued news of possible new music from the band comes after Trent – who also penned soundtracks for films such as ‘Between the Flood’ and ‘Patriot’s Day’ – took to Twitter in August to shut down rumours of a new single from the ‘Head Like a Hole’ musicians, after a song called ‘Dive and Slam’ appeared on the online music database Discogs.
Trent simply tweeted: "Not true."
On top of his work with the metal band and as a soundtrack writer, Trent also served as a Chief Creative Officer for Beats before the company was bought by tech giants Apple.
Since then, he’s maintained a similar role at Apple Music, helping design the Beats 1 radio station.
Speaking at the time, the star said he would keep working with Apple because "anything that makes music more important to people is worth it".
Nine Inch Nails haven’t released any new material since 2014’s remix EP ‘Seed Eight’. Their last full album was ‘Hesitation Marks’, released in 2013.
