Travis Barker pays tribute to regular collaborator Poorstacy

Rapper Poorstacy has died at the age of 26.

The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner confirmed the alternative star’s tragic death to Page Six on Monday (01.12.25). The Boca Raton Police reported that the artist died on Saturday (29.11.25), following an “incident” at a local hotel. He was transported to a nearby hospital but did not survive.

Authorities have not released further details regarding his cause of death, and the Boca Raton Police Department has yet to provide additional comment.

However, a staff member at the hotel told TMZ that Poorstacy had checked in 10 days before his untimely death. Reports also suggested he arrived with a woman and a toddler.

Poorstacy, a Palm Beach native, built a dedicated following through two studio albums (2020’s The Breakfast Club and 2021’s Party at the Cemetery) and two EPs (2019’s I Don’t Care and 2020’s I Don’t Rap), blending rap, punk, and alternative influences. His collaborations with Blink‑182 drummer Travis Barker produced tracks such as Choose Life, Nothing Left, and Hills Have Eyes. The music star – whose real name was Carlito Milfort – also worked with Iann Dior and contributed to the Grammy‑nominated Bill and Ted Face the Music soundtrack.

Tributes have flooded in with Travis writing on his Instagram Story: “Rest in peace you’ll never be forgotten [broken heart emoji].”

Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes shared a picture of them on his Instagram Story captioned: “R.I.P [black heart emoji]”.

The last few years of his life saw the rapper caught up in a legal battle.

Milfort was arrested in 2023 for battery and child neglect following a domestic incident at a property in Coral Springs, Florida. The case was eventually dismissed in 2024, with all charges dropped.
