The Prince of Wales is ‘committed to supporting’ Queen Elizabeth II

The Prince of Wales is "committed to supporting" Queen Elizabeth II.
The 68-year-old royal is first in line to the throne when his mother abdicates, and despite recent claims there have been internal disputes between Buckingham Palace and Prince Charles, it is believed Charles "and the entire royal family" support the 91-year-old monarch in "whatever way they can", the Guardian Online has reported.
A spokesperson for the royal household said: "Indeed, recent years have seen an ever-closer working relationship between all the different royal households and their respective teams.
"The Prince of Wales and the entire royal family are committed to supporting the Queen in whatever way they can at Her Majesty’s request."
This news comes shortly after Sir Christopher Geidt, who served as the Queen’s private secretary for a decade which saw him liaise between the monarch and Downing Street, announced he would be stepping down from his position next month.
The spokesperson continued: "While we never comment on the confidential employment details of individuals, it was previously announced in July that Sir Christopher Geidt is stepping down after 10 years as private secretary.
"At the time of the announcement, the lord chamberlain paid tribute to the major contribution made by Sir Christopher who, in turn, commended the support offered to Her Majesty by other members of the royal family."
And it has been reported another key figure in the Queen’s private office, Samantha Cohen, has resigned in unison with Geidt.
But it is believed Samantha will continue her post until April next year one the Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Australia, have come to an end.
