The 1975 EP delayed till 2018

The 1975 won’t release their new EP until 2018.
Matt Healy had hinted that his band will drop a mini-album before next year’s third LP ‘Music For Cars’, but the band’s manager Jamie Oborne has confirmed it won’t be out this year, but they’ll be releasing a special treat for fans before 2017 is out.
Jamie wrote on Twitter: "So there is not going to be @the1975 EP in 2017. EP Will be 2018, BUT you will get something I personally love.
"Sorry but that’s all I can say right now. Oh, MFC is already sounding amazing. It will be worth the wait. Love you guys. X (sic)"
The British rockers – completed by Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald and George Daniel – previously confirmed they will drop ‘Music for Cars’, next year, and Matt teased fans another EP could also be on the cards.
He tweeted: "Okay – one more EP (sic)"
The ‘Love Me’ singer then shared what appears to be the name of the group’s new record.
He wrote: "What A Shame – The EP (sic)"
Explaining the album’s title, Matt said:"’Music For Cars’ was an EP named for our love for Brian Eno.
"We’re using it as the album title now because of how meta and self-referential everything has become in the world of The 1975, and ‘Music For Cars’ was always my favourite title of everything we’d ever done, so it kinda made sense to wrap it up that way."
The record is expected to drop on June 1, after the ‘Chocolate’ hitmaker tweeted the date out recently, and also repeated it while the group were headlining Latitude in July.
In August, the 28-year-old frontman confirmed the group’s third album will feature a song called ‘Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America’.
He shared the start of the album’s playlist on Instagram and captioned the post: "The need to start editing."
He wrote: "1st June – The 1975 (sic)"
