Tamzin Outhwaite appeals for sponsorship help

Tamzin Outhwaite has appealed for sponsorship after she was pledged just £25 in her bid to go sober for October.
The ‘EastEnders’ star – who plays club manager Mel Owen in the BBC One soap – took to Twitter to try to drum up some cash for charity Macmillan Cancer Support after she received just one donation since telling her fans she is staying off alcohol this month.
She wrote on Twitter: "I know someone begs for sponsor money every single day but I’m doing @GoSoberUK and only one person has donated. It’s for @macmillancancer and any amount would help. Even if I don’t raise any money, I’m enjoying sobriety… but we can do better than just helping out my liver. (sic)"
Tamzin was pledged £25 by an anonymous donor on October 9th but didn’t receive another donation until earlier today (18.10.18), after she had put out her Twitter plea.
At the time of writing, she has now raised £150 of her £500 target for the charity.
Whatever the 47-year-old actress raises, Macmillan insist they are "grateful" for her work.
A message on the charity’s Twitter account replied to Tamzin’s tweet: "We are as grateful as your liver is, Tamzin! Thank you for doing this to support Macmillan x (sic)"
Tamzin was left devastated earlier this year following the death of her mother, Anna, and has admitted she still feels her late mum with her.
In response to a fan who said she "loves" how Tamzin always talks about her mum, the actress replied: "the grief trickles through but the parent must always be with you? I feel her with me. (sic)"
Anna passed away in April, and Tamzin and her loved ones gathered at The Hanbury Arms in Islington, North London, to celebrate her life two months later.
