Take That to hit studio with Jax Jones

Take That are said to be hitting the studio with Jax Jones.

The 36-year-old DJ and songwriter – who has collaborated with the likes of Charli XCX, Raye, Demi Lovato and Duke Dumont – recently made friends with frontman Gary Barlow and the pair have agreed to work together.

The ‘Out Out’ hitmaker also hinted he has done something with Kylie Minogue, as well as Calum Scott, with whom he released ‘Whistle’.

Calum also teamed up with Take That – also comprising Mark Owen and Howard Donald – on their dance version of ‘Greatest Day’, with DJ Robin Schulz, earlier this year.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard at The O2 in London at the weekend, Jax spilled: “I wanna collaborate with as many names as I can next year, whether it’s Take That, Kylie Minogue, more stuff with Calum, watch this space, it’s gonna be sick.

“I saw Gary Barlow the other day, man, he gave me a bottle of his red wine and we’re getting in the studio.”

Take That returned with their new album ‘This Life’ last month, and Gary dropped a huge hint that it could be followed by a 10th record.

Speaking at a live recording of their podcast ‘Take That: This Life’ at London’s Leicester Square, he teased: “We were sat together the other day and they were going through all the numbers (for the This Life album) at the label.

“And everything was looking great and they said to us, ‘How does it feel?’

“And we turn to one and other and went, ‘Well, it means we can do it again. It means we can make another record in a few weeks.'”

Howard admitted there is no reason why the ‘Never Forget’ hitmakers can’t keep making new music.

According to The Sun newspaper, he said: “People always ask, ‘Are you going to be like the Rolling Stones and keep going until that sort of age?’

“And I think, you know what, maybe in five or ten years there won’t be as many dance moves but I think if we carry on making great music I think we can carry on.”
