Strictly Come Dancing new judge announced in April

Len Goodman’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ replacement will be revealed in April.
The 72-year-old ballroom expert left his position as the show’s head judge at the end of last year, and following months of speculation, host Tess Daly has admitted fans don’t have too much longer to wait to find out who will be joining Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell on the panel.
However, the blonde beauty – who fronts the show with Claudia Winkleman – admitted bosses have still not made their choice.
Speaking backstage at the National Television Awards at London’s The O2 after accepting ‘Strictly’s Best Talent Show prize, Tess said: "We don’t know [who is taking over]. There are a few people in the mix. It’s still under discussion.
"I’d imagine by the end of April we’ll have some news."
The 47-year-old presenter admitted she is "absolutely gutted" that Len won’t be on the show anymore.
However, she added: "But ‘Strictly’ has to move forward… I’m looking forward to the new face coming in."
A number of professional dancers have been linked to the vacant judging slot, including Karen Hardy and Anton Du Beke, while Brendan Cole recently admitted he would "love" the job and is hoping he to be considered for the role.
He told BANG Showbiz: "I would love his job. I don’t think there are many people who don’t want his job. It’s a fantastic job because you never get kicked off. It’s fantastic. The BBC will choose whoever is right for the show. I’m hoping that they’ll be considering me while making that decision."
