Steve Carell to produce International Incident

Steve Carell is in talks to produce road trip comedy ‘International Incident’.

The ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love.’ actor has entered negotiations with Lionsgate to produce the movie through his Carousel Prods. banner, with ‘The Hangover’ star Ken Jeong tapped to star.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Javerbaum is writing the screenplay about five United Nations delegates on a journey to find one of their lost loves.

Carell and Javerbaum previously worked together on ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’, which helped take the 51-year-old actor’s career to the next level.

The star is reportedly also going to make a cameo appearance in the new film.

Carell will next be seen in ‘Foxcatcher’, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month, and is developing several movies including ‘Mail-Order Groom’ with Tina Fey.

He is also set to star in and produce ‘The Priority List’, a drama based on the memoirs of David Menasche which tells the story of a Miami high school teacher, who is told he has just months to live.

Carell has also signed on for Disney’s ‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’, which will co-star Jennifer Garner.
