Stephen Rahman-Hughes would love Holby City guest role

Stephen Rahman-Hughes would love a guest role in ‘Holby City’ – because the show’s stars "get more time to work on their scenes".
The 49-year-old actor is currently portraying dentist Adam Bateman in ‘EastEnders’, but he would be keen to act alongside his pals Lee Mead (Ben "Lofty" Chiltern) and Ramin Karimloo (Kian Madani) in the medical drama.
He said: "They get a bit more time to work on their scenes over there, so I could definitely do with that.
"It’s a great programme, and they’ve been doing a brilliant job.
"Adam must have had some medical training to be a dentist, so he could pop into the hospital.
"I’ve known Lee and Ramin for about 12 years, so it’s funny that we’re now seeing each other in our scrubs during our lunch breaks."
When Stephen is not shooting ‘EastEnders’, he can sometimes be found scuba diving in Malaysia, and as well as that he likes to help clear the reefs of the "heart-breaking" plastic pollution.
He added to Inside Soap magazine: "I’ve been scuba diving since 1992 – I picked it up when I was young.
"I just loved it. I’m a qualified dive master, too.
"Some of the reefs I see are not in good shape, though, with all the plastic pollution.
"It’s heart-breaking. So I do my bit when I’m over there.
"I go down with the eco-team and we clear up the reef. It’s something I really care about."
