Niall Horan to release new solo song Dinner Party this month

Niall Horan will release his new single Dinner Party on March 20.

After months of teasing fans, the former One Direction star has finally confirmed the date for his first solo track since his 2023 album The Show.

It’s inspired by a dinner party that he says “changed the course of my life”.

He wrote on X: “i’m so happy and excited to tell you my new single ‘dinner party‘ is coming out march 20. presave it now at niallhoran.com this song is about a really happy and big moment in my life. an evening at a simple dinner party that changed the course of my life. after writing the song , the words ‘dinner party‘ became the nucleus for the rest of the record. that once in a lifetime moment that I am grateful for and for everything that came after that night.(sic)”

The new single follows confirmation that he has completed his next album and the release of Drive Safe with Myles Smith.

He recently posted on X, alongside behind-the-scenes clips and studio photos: “Album is DONE.”

Appearing on Zoom during the Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr, he gave an update on the project: “I’m in here finishing it right now. So I’m in the beat lab! I’m just finishing off some vocal bits and things like that, that I wasn’t happy with, but yeah! I should have music sometime this year. And I’m very excited about it!”

Niall’s debut solo album, Flicker, arrived in 2017 and reached number three in the UK. He went on to top the charts with 2020’s Heartbreak Weather and 2023’s The Show.

The Slow Hands singer’s new music comes as his bandmate Harry Styles prepares to launch his new album in the same month. Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occassionally. lands on Friday (06.03.26).
