Sir Elton John to headline New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

Sir Elton John and Ed Sheeran are among headliners for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

The Louisiana city will celebrate its musical culture with the annual event, with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga also set to headline the festival where fans can expect performances of hits from their collaborative album ‘Cheek to Cheek’.

The festival – which will take place across two weekends, from April 24 to April 26, and April 30 to May 3 – will also play host to a headline set from ‘Timber’ rapper, Pitbull.

One mystery headliner for the final evening of the prestigious event – which was founded in 1970 – has yet to be revealed, but previous stars to have played include icons Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen.

Elsewhere on the line-up, Gwen Stefani will bring her ska-infused band No Doubt, while rapper TI, country star Keith Urban and 68-year-old singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett are also scheduled to perform.

As well as celebrating international talent, the festival will play host to home-grown legends including Allen Toussaint, Buckwheat Zydeco, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty and his group Orleans Avenue.

Other acts set to appear include The Who, Ryan Adams and Kacey Musgraves, with tickets available to purchase now.
