Sir Bruce Forsyth is ‘much better’ after heart surgery

Sir Bruce Forsyth is doing "much better" following his recent life-saving surgery to treat two heart aneurysms.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host underwent a five-hour operation at the Royal Free Hospital in London in November to repair a swollen artery and, although he’s still got a long way to go until he’ll be back up on his feet, his wife Lady Wilnelia Forsyth-Johnson is pleased with his progress.
Speaking to OK! magazine, the brunette beauty said: "He’s [Bruce] doing much better. But he’s still convalescing. It was a big, big operation. It’s taking much longer than we expected, but we’re positive that he can recuperate 100 per cent."
The legendary entertainer, 88, sparked fears for his health in April this year when he was forced to miss his best friend Ronnie Corbett’s funeral because he was still recovering from the extensive key hole surgery five months earlier.
However, his manager said at the time that he was only "two or three" weeks away from being out and about on his feet.
Bruce was admitted for surgery at the end of last year after doctors discovered his near-fatal condition during a routine check-up following his dramatic fall just a few weeks prior.
His manager said after the op: "The procedure was a complete success and while Sir Bruce needs to rest and recuperate, it is anticipated, given the minimally invasive nature of this operation, he will make a speedy recovery."
Meanwhile, over the course of the last few years, Bruce has slowly started to ease up on his work projects.
