Sinitta ‘begged’ for X Factor role

Sinitta has "begged, screamed and cried" for a seat on the ‘X Factor’ panel.
The ‘So Macho’ hitmaker admits she would love to appear on the ITV show alongside boss Simon Cowell and joked he is ignoring her requests "on purpose".
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, she said: "Are you joking? I have begged, screamed and cried … I think I’ve tried everything to get on it – it hasn’t happened. I think he’s Simon Cowell is just doing it on purpose."
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old singer and television personality previously revealed she thinks it is "time" for her to join the panel.
She said: "I do think it’s time for me to be on the panel! I have to admit that no contracts have been sent to me yet, so sadly I have a feeling it’s not going to happen this year."
But she is pleased with the new judging line up of Simon, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
She added: "The line-up sounds really good, especially as they are all really good friends."
Meanwhile, Sinitta need not worry too much about not getting a spot on the panel as she previously revealed she will launch "a big project" this year.
She said: "I am trying to launch my own TV studio like a production company. It is a big project. We have been building the studio and collecting all the equipment. I don’t really know what I am doing, but I am excited about it."
